OK, here's my Beavis and Butthead moment for the week:
I finally got around to running / booting cm10-121208_acclaim_sd_hd.img from my flash card a couple of nights ago. Once I got it up and running I was looking around through the available programs on it and ended up running a flash upgrade utility on it that went out to the internet and downloaded some "upgrade". It asked me if I knew for sure what I was doing and like an idiot I hit YES. Now the touchscreen doesn't work at all. I've tried running / installing all kinds of things like :
bn_142_factory_recovery.zip
cm10_121208_acclaim_sd_hd.zip
cm-10-20121219-NIGHTLY-encore.zip
They all seem to run from SD OK but still no touchscreen function.
My new Nook specifics WERE : model number BNTV250 software version 1.4.3 when I got it a few days ago.
Is anyone here familiar enough with cm10-121208_acclaim_sd_hd.img who can tell me what flash utilities are on it? Or maybe tell me how to fix my Nook if possible?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Check for a topic with "touch" in the title in this very forum.

I am using 8105 - Android 2.1
I recently rooted my phone and it went fine (well, it was rooted).
But every 1 or 2 minutes, the capacitive buttons flash 6 or 7 times and then hide for another 2 minutes....I have had an individual who claims there are threads on XDA, but I have yet to find them on how to fix this. Any help pointing me to the right area would be greatly appreciative!
Did u by any chance use the super boot method to root?
unfortunately, i cant help but im just curious, why was it necessary to post the same thing twice?
Same issue here
I have rooted with superboot and am running 2.2 - my initial image failed so I applied an image from the recovery toolkit and brought it back to life.
There seems to be some pattern to the light sequence - perhaps an awesome detector?
I'm still not sure whether it bothers me or not.
i actually ran into a similar situation with my friends streak but it didnt seem to mess anything up. i did end up looking into it and i think i found on google that it either means a bad recovery img or a bad baseband flash i think
edit: My mistake - After all my tablet is the ME181CX version, i was almost certain it was the C. Aparently this one can't be rooted yet.
Hello,
I recently bought this tablet, and started reading up on how to root it.
I have come across this rootzenphone apk, and aparently the latest 1.4.6.4r version should support this tablet. Nevertheless, i am having the problem of it just leaving the tablet in demo mode, and the rooting saying "failed". I have restored to factory settings, and tried to root again, to the same results.
Build number : WW-3.1.23.172 -> i recall reading something about only "ww-xxxx" models being supported, so i guess mine is one of those.
I am quite new to android, so i may not be giving some needed info :x
Anyway, any help would be awesome.
Hi Guys, first of all thank you in advance for any answer you could give! it will be much appreciated!
Now, before anything I know there should be hundreds of posts about this issue but I was unable to find one that could apply to my scenario. But if you know any post that could be what I'm searching please just point me in the right direction :good:
Now, here is the problem:
We bought this cheap chinese tablet with andrioid 4.2.2 for my mother and it seemed to work pretty slow and some apps where not working correctly, there where a lot of adds even when she was not on an application, they just popped out on the main menu screen, and, when trying to register Instagram it displayed a message stating that there where too many users registered in the device. I tried to root the tablet because found that it could be because some temp files but it showed that it was already rooted... So my guess is that whoever installed the OS, did it with a "hacked" version of it.
Up to this point I have tried to do a hard reset but the issue is still going because it is still the hacked version of the OS, and I havent been able to find a way to completely wipe out the OS and install a fresh new version of Jelly bean 4.2.2
Can it be done with the device conected to a PC? or can it be done with a flashed memory card?
I know finding the firmware for a chinese tablet will be a major pain in the ass but, is there a version that could work for different models? (this is a Mobix MBX7 Plus, found the website mobix.com.ve but there is just no helpful info whatsoever)
Anyway, I hope you guys can help. Sorry for the somewhat long post
Again, thank you!!
Update!!!
I found info that could lead to the correct firmware, the CPU is an Allwinner Cortex A20, but Im still not sure if this format process is just like a PC, where you need drivers or everything is on the OS
Howdy everyone.
I was given an x10a as a kind of 'junk' phone from someone else. I don't know what all has been done with it, but it does have what appears to be CWM recovery installed, but no ROM or anything. Clean wiped.
I tried downloading a couple of ROMs off of the forums here, none of them seem to flash, always end up giving me an error.
I tried to get the 'flashtool' that you guys have here for this phone, but it doesn't run. Gives me a Java error, either with 32bit or 64bit installed on my laptop here. Can't seem to figure it out. It'd be cool to get this phone running again, I'll be going on deployment here soon. If I could have a literally free phone that takes full sized SIM cards (this phone here) and runs, that would be awesome.
Anybody have a thread they can point me towards, that I seem to be overlooking?
Hi all. I've been reading (and not understanding) a lot of threads on here about flashing firmware to this old Galaxy player.
All I wanted to do originally was get a newer android version for the store and games for my 14 month old wee lad to play with.
Anyway after a fair bit of research I got Odin and the US version of a Rom and dove right in to upgrading and of course I made an unholy mess of it and bricked the device.
I chose the US version knowing it probably wasn't going to support the physical home button after but took the risk.
I plugged it into my windows 10 PC and went from there. So the process failed initially after a very quick scroll of information. Then I started ticking the check boxes in Odin to a point where the process took longer and seemed to be actually doing something instead of flying through and failing. Well then it seemed to be doing something so I left it for an hour or two and when I came beck it was stuck where it was, not doing anything. It was late so I unplugged and went to bed.
Now the device only displays the very commonly reported 'phone... ! ...PC' icons.
I have Odin v1.82 running right now and its detecting the player ( yellow box 0:[com8] ), then after a while the player shuts off and comes back on for Odin to detect it again.
Nothing else happens, windows won't read the device even to access as a storage device.
So I've been to step 2, which is trying to unbrick it. I don't really want to go the Ubuntu route as I know even less about Linux then Android.
Also theres the problem of trying to get the original international roms and pit and bootloader(?) files. All the links on here seem to be broken.
So does anyone have the actual files I need and maybe an idiots guide to doing the work?
All help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I have read that on here mate, that its still in download mode, however no button combo gets it to do anything else (like trying to enter recovery mode).
Also and I guess this is the main problem, I can't find the stock files anywhere, and trust me I've been reading threads here and googling elsewhere.
The links on here all seem to be broken, which given the age of the threads is no surprise.
So I'm still kind of hopeful someone reads this and can supply the files I need.
Oh and I'm open to a non stock version as long as its for the international version (home button) and proven to be good.
I'd love to be rid of the bloatware and free to install play store etc.
