Can someone create a flashable zip that will turn off all haptic feedback including inside the dialer upon the Jelly Bean base?
I don't really have time to do it, but if you'd like to know how, I could tell you. Do you have & know apktool?

Don't u just uncheck vibrate on touch in settings and the vibrate for phone calls .. ?

just do this and dirty flash for when you install new roms of the same name and build type. alternatively a titanium backup update zip might do this.

That check box does not turn off the haptic feedback or vibrate when making a call. In ICS there was an option to turn off vibrate when placing a call in the dialer settings which is not present in Jelly Bean.

The haptic feedback (vibepattern) arrays are in framework. If you know how to decompile and compile with apktool, then you can go in and zero out the entries.
If not, then send me your framework and I'll do it for you, but I always recommend trying it yourself first. Ya know, the whole teach to fish vs give a fish thing.
Edit : you'll also have to do this mod for it to work

So I've been running a custom ROM for just about 24 hours now, it's a great ROM great on battery life but there are little things that I miss/were removed on this ROM that well I can't do without (I get it some folks like it this way but hey I wanted to try something different and ok I want to go back to regular Sense haha) so what do I have to flash to get back to Sense but I want to stay unlocked and Rooted so I can do the things I want to do ( Wi-Fi tether, LMT launcher, flash a battery saving kernel and hopefully flash photo sphere) thank you in advance
What rom are you on? Did you create a nandroid backup before you flashed the rom? If you did you can just restore if you rooted before you made the backup ajdn flashed rom.

No I couldn't get Nandroid to work for me so I did titanium back up but as this is my first time doing anything like this I don't think I did a correct back up...I think I just backed up apps and information

First off I'd like to say im a recovering flashaholic from galaxy nexus/tbolt/nexus 7 but i've been good lately I'm happy with sense 5 in its simplicity.
but here is my issue... on all the joel based sense 5 roms(hatka, digital dream m7, stock joel port) i get screen wake on incoming messages and I can't figure how to turn it off... i do not get this behavior on newts roms(up thru 1.6, didn't try 2.0 yet)
I always do a full wipe and fresh installs from TiBackup with no system data and I can't find it in settings on messages or system setting
I hope I'm missing something stupid but I have looked everywhere and its really the only thing wrong with the roms and I like the themes

I dont have a fix for that problem. I would recommend using Handcent as a default messaging system. It has all those options and more so that should fix ur problem if ur willing to try it out
I used handcent on my thunderbolt and my galaxy nexus but I stopped using it because why install an extra app for something that your phone already does fine... I don't use the extra customization

yes the only thing that stops it is turning off all stock notifications
I'm running Hatka Supreme 1.1.0 and the Screen Wake on SMS was an option in the Aroma installer when you flash the ROM. I don't know how to change it after the fact...
I'm on digital dream m7... I locked up aroma twice installing so I may have missed it... Will try a dirty flash to see if I can fix it
Edit: no aroma on digital dream... I guess I had a lock up on my nexus 7 the other day... I'm going back to newts ... I switched just to try out something new... Love the theme and everything but handcent seems so slow

*** THIS IS FOR THE CAP BUTTONS - Menu - Home - Back - Search - not for nav bar ***
since the new cm rebase kernel was pushed some things have changed.
my old enable/disable no longer works on the new rebase so here is the new zips
should work on all cm/aosp based 4.2.2 and 4.3 roms
disable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/13402-disable-capacitive-buttons-new-jd81
enable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/13403-enable-capacitive-buttons-new-jd81
for 4.1.2 roms use
disable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/639-disable-capacitive-buttons-jd81-zip
enable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/640-enable-capacitive-buttons-jd81-zip
just flash in recovery and reboot *put both zip's on your phone* flash disable and reboot, if you dont like it then flash enable and go on with your day
if this zip doesnt work for you *ie buttons still work after reboot* well then you dont have the proper rom,
either go on with your day or
-open a file manager
-go to /system/usr/keylayout
-delete the file sec_touchkey.kl
-reboot and go on with your day
Nice! Thanks Jamie, will definitely come in handy for me Pie/Nav bar addition!

it should, there was no change from 4.2.2 to 4.3 in the touch drivers like there was with 4.1.2 to 4.2.2

Hello, first off, well done with this, its working perfectly for my note on PAC JB rom, but was wondering if there is anyway to disable the lights for the buttons, they don't work, but still light up, just wondering, have been searching for a bit and will continue to, but thought I would ask here too, thanks again for all the work you do, have a good one!

Thought I'd share this for anyone who wants to disable the capacitive button lights. Credit goes to the original post I found at..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210765
To turn off capacitive button lights:
1. Download a file manager with root access. I used Root Browser.
2. Go to system/lib/hw
3. Find the file named 'lights.msm8660.so'
4. Rename it to anything such as "lights.msm8660.so.old"
5. Reboot.
Does anyone know of a way to get native call recording on rootbox? Or a really reliable app that can record directly from the line and not the microphone.

Well the XPOSED settings is baked in, or it used to be, so you could use that module.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using XDA Premium HD app
I didn't see Xposed in the ROM but I installed it and the framework and activated the module. However I don't get a recording option in the phone app. I only have experience using it on TW ROMs so I'm wondering if there is a different module for aosp or is there another options section somewhere that I'm missing?

I honestly don't know much about the framework, I do know it is, or was, baked in. If you dont have privileges to post in Development I will ask in the thread for you.

On beans 18....clean install. Go to exposed and I click modules and phone and click call record. Then when on a call I hit the menu button and an option comes up to record. It saves it in a sound file at the end and im done. Dont do anything else....no apps or flashing apks ..... guess its baked into beans and you just have to have that box checked. I dont touch other roms too much. Beans runs the best for my phone so I stick with it. Hopefully I gave you an idea.

He is on Rootbox but the settings should be about the same hopefully. I never had to go through all that when activating it on CR, I just installed it and activated it in the framework. I remember them saying that it was built into VRB at one point but that may have changed now.
