all 3 note 1's are running FJ's stock deodexed rom (SGH-i717-IMM76D-UCLF6-FJ) atleast thats what i remember the rom being, but...
trying to send pic from each of the note 2's sends the all 3 note 1's into the market and that results in market not finding whatever it is it is pointing it to.
note 1 to note 1 works fine, just a problem note 1 to note 2
Have you found a solution? Sorry to bump an old thread but hopefully there is a solution out there. I know there was a flashable zip that was posted somewhere, maybe that'll work? I'm gonna search for that flashable zip and see if it works.
I tried to beam over something from another phone to my note but it opens up the play store like the OP. I can send stuff to other phones but not the other way around.
Running jellybam with king kangers kernel if that helps

Scratch what I said before.
Make sure s beam is turned off on the touch wiz ROMs. That worked for me. For aosp roms, android beam can be on. I don't know what the technical difference between s beam on touch wiz ROM and android beam on aosp ROMs. If your are still looking for the solution OP, hope that helps.

ok so I got a Note today, used off Craigslist.
Being who I am, decided that I had to ROM it.
Using ODIN I flashed odin_n1717_cwm_recovery_b4.tar
Rebooted into CWM.
Flashed Liquid JB v2.0 RC8 (D2ATT)
flashed gapps
Did a clear data, wipe dalvik etc.(thought EMMC bug was international only)
went to reboot and nothing. No lights, no bootloop, no logo, nada zilch.
ROM seems correct for my phone so I'm not sure what's going on here.
Is their any hope for this phone?
I can't get ODIN to see the phone, but when I plug in Win7 tells me the drive isn't formatted.
Would love some direction here. Wanted this phone for a long time. Now I'm sitting with a dead unit.
Ouch!
When you plug the phone in, do you see a battery? Do you have a Jig?
don't see the battery, and no don't a jig

not quite the same I flashed a(supposedly) proper ROM.
Get a battery charger!
Ok, don't give up hope yet. The phone won't accept a charge, but you need to charge your battery. Hope you have a external charger, or borrow some one else battery. You need a full battery, and a Jig ( cheap, only $2 on Ebay). You need to put your phone in Download Mode for Odin to see.
---------- Post added at 02:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:39 AM ----------
The Jig work on all Samsung phone I got, including the Note. ICS is not the issue. The Jig work on a deep layer.
battery was fully charged before i started any rom work.
SO maybe just a jig? Has a jig ever been successful with a phone that won't even turn on to the fail screen
I get absolutely nothing.

well telling me after the fact doesn't help much.
RIght now i'm looking for a way to recover.
Has anyone recovered from this?
My Infuse was brick badly. I was glad I had a Jig. I had the Infuse in Download Mode, but the screen all rainbow color or blank. However, Odin saw the phone. Your battery can drain pretty quick when your phone is jack up. My battery was full when I started flashing. I saw a video on Youtube to fix phone that even a Jig cannot solve. I could not find it now.
Here is a link to unbrick your phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1656635
I found the video on Youtube. It is a service and you have to send your phone.

Guess that's why you read up huh? It's common talk around here that rom loves to brick phones! So telling you after the fact is more helpful than what you did for yourself.

ok I just figured out what I did.
Technically it is my fault.
The D2att rom is for an S3.
I need the quincy version.
I don't get the naming of it from the download links but I bricked my phone, my fault. SON OF A *****!.
Why the rom creator uses these code names I'll never know.
Now I'm pissed and need to know if there's anyway to fix this

How...???
Sent from my SGH-i717 using xda premium
because if you follow the link to the facebook page with the download i didn't scroll down far enough and read 'the code' names.
most other places keep phones separated or at least give you the model number with the rom.
This caught me off 'guard' so I did it to myself.
Fyi everyone, even Cyanogen calls this Quincy. Which I'm sure you've noticed by now

yep, just add's fuel to my fire.
I'm more pissed at myself than anything. A little more reading and I'd be playing versus trying to figure out a way around this.
Looks like it'll be $50 jtab sendoff for me.
The worst thing is I got this phone for a great price of $200 with 2 ballistic cases. Now it'll be a $250 phone and at least a week without it.
I hate it when I'm the biggest cause of my problems. The upside is at least it's not a 200 mistake, only a 50.
:silly:
Well you live and you learn. Just send it off. Atleast there IS an option to revive it. Good luck.

So, the first Casio Commando G'zOne was a very tough phone. Came stock with Gingerbread 2.3 and no recovery, only a hard reset option. Surprisingly it was quite popular.
Now, the new Casio Commando G'zOne 4G LTE is available stock with ICS 4.0 and will be attracting many consumers. Unfortunately, I don't know if it has it's own recovery or not.
Wanted to know if anyone has got one and if it has it's own recovery or not (aside from the stock hard reset option).
Also, any devs looking into creating a custom ROM for this device? I'd be highly interested in any information on a custom ROM for this device! Thanks!!

I found a root method on another forum. If rules allow I can link them here. I'm looking at getting the commando 4g too. I root all my phones so searched endlessly. However the phone has few threads. Since most devs have high end phones like Galaxy S4 and Note 2 etc.

Just saw this phone on the VZW site and droooooooled. I'm in construction, so the rugged phone appeals to me far more than all the high end hardware phones do.
Is stock ICS on it functional, or buggy? I'm thinking about picking it up on the EDGE pay as you go plan, but I was curious about usability during the time when I'm trying to root/recovery/flash the thing. It's been a while since I've done much custom ROM building, but if I can get a working recovery, it would be worth trying to build CM10.2 for this

Easy to root I have seen but need recovery. Hopefully CASIO comes out with a OTA.
Koush used to have a generic recovery cooker on his website. Plug in the mount points for system, data, cache, and boot along with some other stuff (I can't remember what offhand) and it spits out a recovery for your device. Might be worth looking into

I'm a noob to the world of all things root I have the original commando the is the m140 root impossible. I'm considering the C811 Commando2 is it root capable All I really want is to be able to remove the bloatware Verizon is likely to put on there. Would that be possible?
http://builder.clockworkmod.com/
This is the one I was thinking of. If any of you are rooted and have the information required here, make a backup up the recovery partition and give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen, you restore the backup? This is assuming you CAN read and write to the recovery with adb/fastboot.
I bought c811 as a second phone to use it in a gsm network, everything works perfectly out of the box but phone is rejecting all incoming calls, I've read exactly the same is happening to people using phone in Canada gsm networks and with at&t sim cards. I've rooted the phone and I've disabled all Verizon bloatware but no luck.
Any clue about this will be highly appreciated.

Hey everyone. I have attempted to build a working flex ROM for Verizon g2. Had a bootable ROM but had no working 4g data. Attempted to make ROM work with appropriate files to get data working but now it won't boot. Why. I don't know. I have asked for help from other builders for all the other variants with no response from them except for a very general point in the proverbial direction to no avail. @MicroMod777 of the awesome digital dream ROM in the Verizon forum has assisted me as well as @krazie1. @T.C.P and @Jeff Zaugg. So basically I am looking for someone to help resolve our issues. I would even be willing to come up with donations accordingly for time and knowledge to resolve these issues or even to just build a working ROM to share with the masses. Thank you all in advance for your time. ROM ON!!!!!

I don't even have my bootable base anymore. Forgot to make copy before I started modding it to get data working. Unfortunately I got work tomorrow. If I can get an uploaded bootable ROM then I can work on what isn't working. Sure wish there was a android kitchen for lg g2 to attempt doing this the way I would prefer. Plus this is effectively the first ROM in which I am doing this. Usually just editing and modding other Roms for myself. Hope I'm not biting of more than I can chew.

We started with a flex ROM and changed boot img libs/modules. Etc /permissions pertaining to Verizon also a build prop edited for it. Basically got a booting ROM with no data. Some of you said you were having trouble getting the flex Rom to boot.
These are the steps i've taken:
In Android Development there is a thread by Tangjun269.
On page 13 of thread is a rom called Flex_Rayglob.zip 952.3 mb
I downloaded this rom it's got Gapps baked in and has the ugly black around the icons removed witch I think looks better.
I use root explorer to extract rom then I replaced these items from any one (your choice) of the stock rooted 12b builds in the Verizon section:
Extracting each one from 12b and dropping into extracted flex rom.
Boot.ing
META-INF
etc/apns-conf.xml
Lib/modules
Now zip rom, boot into recovery back up and flash.

I didn't mean to make you think I was upset, I'm just under a tremendous amount of pressure and stress right now with my business and getting my phone back on line is really adding to the stress. I paid for FEDEX overnight shipping to the repair facility and FEDEX overnight saturday delivery to return it and I have been sitting here all weekend trying to get it back up.The guy who fixed it installed an app (TWRP) I have never seen or used and never told me what it was or what to do with it and he didn't return my calls or emails over the weekend to let me know if it was safe to use it with a custom ROM. I had to search all weekend to find out exactly what it was and how to use it. I'm sure you know how expensive that type of shipping is and to have paid all that and still not have my pohone up on Monday morning was a waste of money.
Thanks so much for the help here. I will be more carefull looking at links from now on.

Rudy,
Thanks again. I am downloading the ROM now, although it's slow and will take 30+ minutes. I have a question. I see that some of these ROMS have the ability to accept OTA updates?
My phone specs are
Verizon Galaxy Note II
Android 4.1.1
I605VRALJB
BUILD # JRO03C.I605VRALJB
I don't want my phone to take any updates EVER!
Can I prevent that from happening?
Do you know what I need to do to accomplish that?
Does Scott's ROM's block OTA updates?
It seems he has discontinued support for the Note II and I 'm not really that good with this and I don't want to have my phone get updated and get locked out again. I just spent a lot of money to get it back to v4.1.1
Thanks for any help with this and thanks again for helping me with the download issue!

It seems he has discontinued support for the Note II and I 'm not really that good with this and I don't want to have my phone get updated and get locked out again. I just spent a lot of money to get it back to v4.1.1
Thanks for any help with this and thanks again for helping me with the download issue!

Hey Tom,
Any custom rom usually has OTA's from Verizon blocked, Scott's included. The download speed you are experiencing is normal.
When roms say they have OTA capability, it usually means that they have the ability to send their own updates via OTA.
Hope that helps. Also, this thread isn't in the right location--you'd be posting to Q&A or general for this type of question.
Anyway, let me know if you need anything else. Have a great day
I just wanted to thank everyone for their help! I now have Scott's Note II ROM on my phone and it's working great!
I do have one problem though. Somehow I managed to change the keyboard where I type text messages and now it doesn't show the keyboard, but has a writing board or whatever it's called and I can't figure out how to get the qwerty keyboard back? It's a screen where the keys would normally be but you can use your finger or a stylus I guess to write or draw. Can anyone advise me how I get it back to normal?
Thanks again to all!

Never mind, I figured it out! Doh!
I also throw out there that gas dies eventually on this rom. If you check the thread, it has happened to a lot of people including my wife's.

Ok thanks.
I am noticing that the radio seems to be a little weaker. Is that my imagination?
I would go with something newer that is still supported Krowley's smooth rom would be a good place to start.

I also see that what I thought was a defect in the manufacturer's ROM is still occurring in Scott's ROM That's when you have a phone call and you hang up and then it starts playing audio files that you have on your phone. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to stop it?
Thanks

I don't remember that on cleanrom, but it's based on international firmware so there were common issues with a lot of people concerning GPS. Seriously, there's some great roms that are based on Verizon 4.3 and soon you'll see 4.4.2. Why waste your time with a 4.1.2 rom? Like I said smooth rom, Trents rom is excellent, as well as some more feature packed roms that are awesome but may be overwhelming for you at this point. See what's near the top of the list in Android development forum, pick one, and after backing it up try another.
