Hey, I have CM9 on my wt19i. Can I install stock Walkman app from official 4.0.4? If yes, can somebody upload it? By the way I have Walkman app from Xperia S.
It could work, but I don't think so, because the xperia apps mostly don't work on cyanogenmod

You can try using Thiliana C's Walkman app. It is compatible with non-stock roms - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786767&highlight=walkman
Press thanks if I helped!:highfive:

Yeah a Nexus 7 with 32gb and it's really great. So fast with its quadcore and the graphic is awesome! No lags at all and I can use Android Beam (NFC) with my brother's sola :good:
And of course I will get all the updates

Until now unrooted and locked bootloader but maybe I'll switch to cm10.1, not sure because of the warranty and stock rom is great on 4.2.1 :good:

Hey,
I hope this isn't the 10000. thread about this problem
My brother's got a xperia sola and we made the update to 4.0.4. Now when he wants to turn it off, it just reboots. After that reboot it completely shuts down.
When he presses power and volume up it shuts down, but isn't there a better solution for that problem or do we have to wait for a fix by Sony?
Thanks in advance!

Nope I never saw anyone posting such prblm
Btw u own a nexus 7 and ur brother sola
Its injustice
I had this problem using a Rom based on the oldest ICS (Was newest at that time).
Annoying as hell, as the only way to shut the thing off was to do a hard reset.
I got rid of it by flashing a different rom though, so unless he's on stock, that could be an option he could explore.
I think he will do a factory reset and try it, thanks guys

I have exactly the same problem (ICS .54) and up to now I didn't find any solution: I will try with some specific power off app (my Sola is rooted).

You can force the shut down if you press volume down (or up) with power button and it works...
Great (okay not really great) to see another person having that kind of problem
Hi all,
I am just wondering if this is possible? I really liked the app and have an apk for it but it would not install so i was wondering if there was maybe a clone of it that can install on 2.3.7 or if there is any way to get it to install?

Hmmmmmm , I don't think you can find or port that official album for 2.3.7 because ics apps are built with sdk 15 which isn't supported on gb rom.
You may can find similar apps like quickpic
Sorry

to be honest it is not as smooth as gingerbread but it is. everything works now and the performance is pretty good and devs are still working. As long as you dont need to play any ramhungry games it is enough.
I suggest either cm9.1 by scritch which is cleaner or feravolts oce cream sandwich rom which is more tweaked. Also there is some jelly bean, Dixperia 9 had sony theme and so sony album, too. also i felt that jb was a bit smoother than ics (probably because of project butter)

What in the world is ICS 2? Are you referring to Jellybean? Yes I know it works on that but unfortunately the 4.0 does not have a JB ROM yet.

he means
"chrome works on ics too"
Haha Chrome porting to GB not possible in 100 years
The reason on why the Chrome app is only on Ice Cream and Jelly Bean is because it requires hardware acceleration. Gingerbread does not support it. Here on XDA, your fellow members (considered developers or "devs"), port, or design their own improvements to be released and flashed. Therefore, requesting to port Chrome is incorrect, but to find ROM'S that do support it, would be your answer.
This isn't Chrome but its close to it. Look for the xScope Browser. If you look on the store you'll only find the Pro version which is 4.X+. The older v6.5 runs on GB and works well.
Now since Jelly Bean has been announced for Xperia P and Xperia GO, is it possible to port the firmware for Xperia U?
Yup developers are probably working on this already

Don't be dream in 4.3 or 4.2 cause Novathor already stop support their processor and doesn't will release any source for develop to make it compatible with 4.2 or either 4.3, just wait for developer to port it cause XDA have many clever developer
Well, I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrIaL-mfZRU
He says it's Android 4.3 and in comments when people asking link for that he says it's coming in September.
I don't think this is possible but a small hope is still there :fingers-crossed:
I think it is a fake...
The locker could be a third-part app and the displayed version could have been changed editing the build.prop file as far as I know...
Please Correct me if i'm wrong...
Ps. Btw I'd love to see 4.3 on our device but I really don't think Sony will release it...

Its totally fake, Novathor is dead and they wont give us 4.2 or 4.3 i hope ya'll know that now and thats why we here on XDA !!
So stop this endless discussion because that video is just 1000% fake !!
Its just an edited build.prop bla bla bla!

Although I also think that it is a fake, but even since novathor is dead it is not impossible for Sony to make 4.2 for our devices. I have to admit that it is not very likely.

It's fake but its not impossible. Maybe Sony wants to release it for those who have bought golden Xperia P devices.
They've paid a lot of money and they want an updated device.

Additionally:
-Novathors are dead
-The video shows no transparent UI
-The settings is not the new Sony style
-Using old Sony wallpaper
-Lockscreen not Sony style
