How to remove Razr Clockworkmod recovery 5.8.4.5 - Motorola Droid RAZR

I have the Verizon CDMA razr on ICS rooted and installed the Razr clockworkmod recovery on this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1751826
I see that it has issues and that safestrap is the safest option, so I want to uninstall it and install safestrap instead.
Researching through the forum, I found that to remove it, I need to run droidrazrutility 1.82 and fastboot restore. Is there another way to do remove this recovery and install safestrap?
Thank you guys in advance,

Have you tried the installation in reverse order using the apps you used to install? There should be remove buttons in the apps.

try uninstalling the application from menu, install safestrap from hashcode, install recovery, uninstall recovery and uninstall safestrap..

Using Matt's droidrzr utility is the best option. It wipes out EVERYTHING, puts you back on the ota path and keeps root. Then just google How To SafeStrap and hashcodes page should be the very first hit. Download the apk and then click Install. Reboot and enjoy touch screen recovery.
Edit- If you need help using his utility I would be more than grateful to help

[Q] How to go from Bonic Boostrap to Razr Bootstrap?

I rooted my phone using the bonic bootstrap for my droid razr. Although everthing worked out correctly I want to install the razr bootstrap so I can backup and restore my phone.
Does anyone know how I should go about installing the razr bootstrap and deleting the bionic bootstrap?
You should just be able to follow this...let the OP verify however.

.
can any one else help me with this? i followed zedomax and installed the bionic bootloader to root. i would like to install the modded version for the razr
Are you referring to boostrap recovery app?? There is no access or root of the bootloader as it's locked up.
After you rooted your Razr did you install the Bionic bootstrap recovery? If you're refering to the recovery app then uninstall the Bionic bootstrap app, delete the clockwork mod file on your sdcard and then install the Razr bootstrap. I think this should update clockwork (if it's different) and then place a new clockwork folder on your sdcard.

[Q] Help with CWM Recovery

Hi All,
New to the XDA forums and newly rooted my Droid Razr Maxx on 2.3.6.
I've followed the instructions for installing the CWM Recovery as highlighted here, but am running into troubles. I have moved both the .apk and .zip onto SD, installed the .apk but when doing the reboot it reboots normally and doesn't give me an option to install from .zip. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong here?

Find the safe strap apk for the RAZR online, download, install, install recovery.
DROID RAZR MAXX
You access CWM recovery from within the app tray. Click on the Razor Bootstrap icon, click the Bootstrap Recovery, get success and then click the Reboot Recovery.
Thanks for the help guys I was able to get it working using the Safestrap.apk
Any suggestions on good ROMs for the Razr? And guides? I'm kind of new to this scene, I just kept my old Droid 2 stock and slow.

Uh-oh. What did I do? Please help!

New Droid Razr MAXX.
OTA Updated to ICS. Rooted with Droid RAZR Utilities 1.40. Installed Bootstrap and recovery, made a backup. Was looking to install a ROM, saw one saying I needed Safestap. Uninstalled Bootstrap, installed Safestrap using Utilities 1.40. Ran Safestrap, Installed recovery, rebooted, enabled Safe-system. Rebooted. I have a black screen, nothing happens when I push and hold any buttons. I have a brick as far as I can tell. Any suggestions? What did I do wrong?
Ok. Holding key combos got it to reboot with vol-down and power. If I let it go past the safeboot splash without hitting anything it goes black.
Went back into recovery, disabled safe-system, reboot and and it works ok.
How can I get into safe-system and flash a this rom? Did I do something wrong in the process?
Use 1.81 utility to flash stock 211 and start over. Install superuser/root and busybox then install safe strap and install recovery. From there make a backup and then enable safe mode. Use rom that you put on external SD card and install. Wipe data before booting new rom.

[Q] Root and get Hyperdrive on Verizon S4

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me find a way to root and get Hyperdrive rom on my Verizon S4 running 4.4.2 (or at least point me to a post that can help me)? Thank You!
Here are my instructions for getting custom roms on new (4.4.2):
First, obtain root. Go to your Settings/Security, check "allow installation from unknown sources". Go to www.towelroot.com , click on the lambda, install the towelroot.apk, then open it and hit "make it ra1n". After reboot, download SuperSU. Open it, it will prompt you to update binaries, do so using the "normal" option. Congrats, you're rooted.
The only custom recovery you can have on NC5 is Safestrap, no TWRP or CWM. You can only flash TW rom's and a select few GPE rom's. You need to use AT&T's 3.72 safestrap for kit kat rom's, which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2448925
To install safestrap, first install busybox. Find it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....busybox&hl=en
Then, change selinux status to permissive. Do this by using selinux mode changer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....selinux&hl=en
Now install the safestrap apk, open it and hit the install recovery button.
To flash a kit kat rom with SS 3.72, you must use the "stock" slot. ROM slots don't work. You can still make a backup of your stock rom incase anything goes wrong. Be warned, you should have Odin and an NC5 tar file ready to go at all times on your comp.
So, you install the rom like you normally do with TWRP or CWM. Wipe data, cache, dalvik cache, system. Then flash rom, modules, and SuperSU.
The NC5 modules are here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23486521113837640
The SuperSU zip is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1538053
If you forget to flash SuperSU, you may lose root. You can still get it back by using towelroot. If Wifi isn't turning on, try going back into Safestrap and flashing this: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23487008491963696
To install one of the Google Play Edition ROM's, use the directions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...ition-t2817708
Josh, your links to Safestrap and the GPE rom instructions are broken.

How to install stock rom after root & safestrap

Hello All,
I rooted and installed safestrap. Then took a backup, installed open_gapps. I can not access my OS, as it's stuck in language selection screen in Google Wizard.
Is there anyway to roll back and install the stock rom again.
Thank you
Which Safestrap version do you have installed? Can you still access Safestrap recovery? Do you have the backup on the HDX?
If you have a backup of the stock slot, you should be able to restore it. Note that you MUST NOT restore a backup of a secondary slot to the stock slot! Would brick the device.
And don't wipe system in Safestrap, especially if you use Safestrap v3.7x!
