Has Samsung deliberately removed the ability to add your own words in the "My Words" section of predictive text and replaced it with learning from Facebook or email or is it just broken again like when they first released S3?

One thing I liked with the HTC/Telus S720 I had for a brief while (I think others call it the Wing?) was the T9 text entry from its phone keypad - most times I found it faster and more efficient than sliding the thing open to use the QWERTY keyboard. The on-screen keyboards are only marginally useful - even the Resco keyboard with widely-spaced keys is a PITA because you need to switch between alpha and numeric modes so much.
What would be really cool on the Titan/Mogul/P4000 is a version of the dial keypad for T9 text entry, ideally using the same outstanding T9 engine the S720 has.
IS there such a thing??
HTC Apps thread in top most forum section of this forum called "Development and Hacking" you may find something if you look really hard.
you can always try the "elf's" "touchflo" keyboard-keypad it will give you t9 capabilities, but they are probly the worst ever t9 texting prog's ive ever seen since the #'s and letters are on the same keys on the keyboard, it gets really confused as the elf has no keyboard and the mogul does...
my 2 cents
Title really says it all. It would be really nice, especially for the devs, but i really do not want to use a seperate keyboard and messaging app for Emoji.
So all in all, i tried to use emoji on the stock ICS messaging app with GO Keyboard with Emoji add on. I do not know if it sent correctly, but on my phone it appeared as the classic yet annoying [].
Basically requesting a messaging app with emoji support, and a keyboard with either to additional emoji support app, or having it built straight in like the Iphone.
Thanks...
I do not know if I understood but that emoji works: it is necessary that the two people talking together, have the emoji plugin .
i like GO Keyboard and ICS keyboard is very effective
There's an emoji font so you can see emoji instead of boxes. But go sms/chomp sms has emoji plugin support.

Hi iam a android newbie, and i have ICS .,
i see almost all apps in my android phone doesnt support unicode ..but still dolphin browser alone showing unicode (tamil language ) letters properly..some say fonts should be added in phone.. but how dolphin browser alone achieves that?
so my question is, Can a application alone be made to support unicode characters and if yes please guide me steps
Just wanted to share an awesome/well-polished emoji keyboard that I found. It's from the creator of Sliding Messaging (another great SMS app). It has the Hangouts-style emoji and is the only good looking/completely functioning/smooth emoji keyboard I've found. I requested to the Dev on twitter that he add a way to switch back to previous input method and he did so quickly (a few hours literally), so the Dev is responsive and helpful. go support these guys! I have the paid versions so feel free to ask questions.

(I accidentally hit Q&A instead of regular post)
I am on the hunt for a new keyboard but have a few requirements.
I am currently using Jelly Bean Keyboard but it's showing its age and not playing well on Lollipop and the Dev appears to have abandoned it.
I like the long press on the letters for frequently used characters. I like that it has emojis as well as emoticon (standard text messaging symbol smileys). I like the swype. It is basically, actually exactly the CyanogenMod/AOSP Keyboard and would like something similar. All the keys are in convienient spots unlike other keyboards with long press. Importantly also it has a dedicated number row at the top.
I tried porting the CM keyboard by extracting the APK and latinime but it always either crashed or swipe didn't work.
Before you answer, Google Keyboard ≠ AOSP Keyboard.
