I see qr codes on app ads. What are these for?

They are an easy way of entering website addresses for example. This is the most common use in ads.
Qr codes may also be pure text, contact information, etc. But in adds they are usually the easiest way to get a customer to a mobile friendly website, perhaps with a sale or smthing.
To read them, I'd try 'Google goggles' app. Load the app, aim your pgne camera at it, and... That's pretty much it
Also there are many other QR code readers in the market.

Hello guys.
I'm wondering if there is an app to push web addresses to your Android device.
Similiar to Nokia's "Nokia Drop".
If not, would be great if someone who handles developing would create a simple app for that as it is very useful.
If you use Chrome you can use the app "chrome to phone"
fkay
I don't like Chrome.
I use Firefox.

As an iOS ex-user, I miss lots of apps that I used in iOS. One of the most important of them is Tweetbot.
I've been searching for a great Tweetbot replacement and the only tolerable ones that I found are Plume, Boid and TweetDeck. But I am being forced to use the terrible official client because of the push notifications. Those clients have some sort of "placebo" push, which is slower and is less battery-efficient.
So, there's my question: can I use another app to push Twitter mentions to my device? Personally, I've got 2 ideas: an app like Boxcar (available for iOS, developers say that they are working on an Android app, but it feels abandoned) or some way to redirect official Twitter's notifications to Plume when I tap on them on Notification Center.
Thanks!

Do you get you tweets via text? If so you should try the app tweetification in the Play Store

I don't expect this to already exist and I suspect there are a lot of challenges to this such as api availability and so on... But what is the likeliness of a universal video chat app such as trillian for instant messaging?
I have Skype, qik, oovoo, talk, and at one point yahoo. I don't really use any of them but I feel like I would if they were all merged together so I wouldn't have to open each app to see if someone is available. What challenges would there be developing this?
And of this belongs in apps and themes, please move.

Like the topic says, any suggest for a market app that provides full access to and android market worldwide. For example no paid and some free apps don't show up in the play store.. Any really good tried party market app?

The Market has its limitations for a reason (mostly legal reasons) and making an alternative market app that circumvents that is just as illegal as it's impossible (with Google having complete control over the "other end", ie. the Market itself, and who can connect to it and how).
That said, you should try using MarketAccess.
Thanks for the reply and I did have a feeling it was legal related but then again I can't understand how on my gf iPhone she can find and install for example Whatsapp, so can her brother on his blackberry but om my android I can't find it on the market. Isn't these restrictions suppose to be in forced on all platforms or is it just Google Android?

It has nothing to do with a specific platform. Simplified, it has to do with Google (not) being able to work out the complete terms of use in some countries.
I know there are lot of unit converter. But if like me, you maybe always use google search bar to convert everything. That works untill i went to place no internet.
Because of that, i build unit converter, which is you just type and convert. It usable but google search and other unit converter has more power than this app.
Try and tell me, what you I do, to make this better.
App itself is web app that cache for offline. I am better on JavaScript than Java. That is why i use JS.
download app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fajarhac.converter (ads)
I am thinking to write into native Java. For pro version without ads. Just not now.
