Hello. I have recently bought YuanDao(Window) N70S tab, but it has been turning off every time i launched any app. I flashed ClockWorkMod and tried to flash this RockCream Sandwich ROM. First I wanted just to restart the tab (before installing custom ROM) but it only launched recovery menu), so I decided to flash this ROM. After another restart it just went dead. It's not recognized by RKAndroidTool, but my PC recognizes it, but i can't access its memory. Can be something done about this? Sorry for my English, because it's not my native language.
You can't install CWM on N70S.
Use RKbatchtool and revert to stock 4.1.1

You can install CWM, for the N70S fun_ has created a recovery for it and can be found here:

I have a rooted n70s and cannot figure out how to install cwm recovery. I get the droid with the red triangle when I boot to recovery using both cwm ROM manager, quick boot, or the volume buttons. Is there another way to flash it?

Hi.
I've tried searching for an answer but can't find anything like this.
I was using Turkbeyrom v3 for some time; I saw V5 and gave it a try. I've done several rom changing so I have some idea how it works. Also I've rooted the phone (Galaxy S2) with Odin and then (another) with the "new method" (one click opens a bat file, uses zergrush). Anyway; after a day or two I realized wifi wasn't working so I decided I will try another rom; as usual, I went to Titanium Backup to make a backup but told me it didn't have root access. After trying SuperSu (came included) couldn't make it work either. So I decided I would just wipe everything and try a fresh install. However, can't boot into recovery mode. I only get an option "Press Home to boot the second ROM" and a countdown; tried the "second" rom but won't start. So I'm stuck with Turkbey V5 which seems to have done something with root access since I can't update Superuser or SuperSu, this makes Titanium and even RomToolkit useless.
I tried to root via the "new method", it does everything, but I still can't get root access or boot into recovery.
While writing this I realized that now I'm stuck on the animated start screen.
Any idea on how can I fix this? I can't boot into recovery, and now the phone is stuck in the animation.
Thanks.
Not familiar with the dual boot thing, so please search before doing this or let other help you....
Flash a cwm using Odin, you can flash any CF-root to get that.
Remove battery
Now get in to cwm recovery
Format data, cache, system from mount and storage
Now flash stock GB ROM using Odin.
Should be fixed, now get root and flash what ever you want to

As you are using dual boot you can only afford to use siyah kernel. Download the Odin version of siyah and flash it, all your problems will be solved. Additionaly if you need su app install it from market.

I've tried installing ClockworkMod via ROM Manager, and it seemed to work. But when I booted in recovery mode it was still the default android recovery. I downloaded ClockworkMod Touch and it installed fine (was able to use it after it installed), but once again when I rebooted it was android recovery.
I've searched around but can't find anything...am I supposed to set CWM as the default somehow, or...?

Rom manager does not fully support SGS2. So do not use it. You cant install a permanent recovery by flashing zip files in stock recovery. Which will only give you a temporary recovery which you will loose after rebooting. If you are on ICS 4.0.4 do not wipe anything in stock recovery. Give more info about what android version you are running on. If you are on ICS flash siyah kernel v5 using odin. Then you will get root and a safe kernel which has proper recovery
Hello people....
I am new to SGS3 xda forum....i am from Pakistan...its been 2 weeks since i bought a SGS3 (second hand)...probably of 3mobile U.K...i was told by the seller that the phone was unlocked in Pakistan....as i tried system update from settings...it said that my phone was modified and could not be updated....so i decided to install CWM Touch on my SGS3 in order to create backup of my current stock ROM (4.1.1)...my phone is not rooted yet....i followed the instructions given in the following link:
http://jellybean-news.blogspot.com/2013/02/complete-guide-to-install-clockworkmod.html
Odin took 1 second and my phone was booted....Odin gave the Message ''Pass!''...everything went fine as it should have been...but when i went into the recovery mod...Stock Android Recovery is opening instead of CWM Touch....noting my phone is not rooted yet....it is also normally booting and everything is fine....can anybody guide me about the problem that i am currently facing...and its solution as well....?? Help Would Be Appreciated...
Edit:Just Flashed CF-Root Pakcage Including SuperSU and CWM Manager with CWM v5.5.0.4....now it goes into CWM...but still one noob question....have my previous stock android recovery and CWM Touch been automatically deleted/replaced?...or they still exist?? Thanks
Sounds like you were trying to install a cwm without being rooted.
Cwm replaces the stock android recovery. You could now try flashing the cwm touch through your current cwm. Make sure its a zip. If you come and ask for help You should really follow a guide on xda though. They are the best guides around.

When you flash a recovery you will delete the previous recovery in doing so, your stock and touch are both gone - replaced with v5.5.0.4.
You can now boot into CWM and install a better recovery, try Philz touch recovery for instance.

The stock recovery what you have got.
If you press the home button, you can see the menu.
If you want to install a custom recovery, you can use my ported CWM, which works. This recovery is based on bgcngm ZTE V970 recovery, using his mtktools.
CWM 6.0.1.2 for Lenovo A390

Red triangle dead android still appears even with your cwm
Hello Cappa. I too have rooted my Lenovo A390 using framaroot. and installed ROM Manager. Initially, ROM manager complained there is no clockworkmod recovery for my device model. I then flashed your clockworkmod recovery using spflashtool. Successful and ROM Manager finally detcted my clockworkmod too as version 5.x.x.x.. But, then when i tried to backup my current ROM, phone reboots and tries to enter recovery mode. But, then the dead android killed by a red triangle still appears. Help me!!!! Somewhere i read that it is the stock recovery icon and the phone should still be able to enter recovery mode using volume up, down buttons. Is it true. Somewhere, I read that TWRP must be used instead, because LENOVO A390 does not have cutom recovery. What should I do next? Suggest. If TWRP should be installed, I would wish to remove CWM first. Is it possible to remove CWM, after it has been flashed?
Sorry for lots of questions.
Will be grateful for your help.
Regards

There can be many reasons for not having the CWM.
You mentioned that you could flash the CWM.
I have not used ROM manager for MTK platform - I don't know if it is compatible with it. I used Mobileuncletools instead: you can change recovery with this program (can be downloaded from PlayStore - free app)
Right after you change the recovery from stock to CWM, then you have to enter into it.
And then make a backup directly from CWM.
This is my suggestion.
Also, I would recommend that run the chinese application remover, right after entering the CWM.
The reason why I suggest it that the stock rom can contain patches, which rewrite all the modified recovery to stock.
can i flash twrp recovery with same scatter file to remove cwm
One more question. I found on several forums that TWRP recovery works for Lenovo A390 and can be flashed using SPFlashtool. Will flashing the TWRP recovery overwrite the CWM recovery, if I use the same scatter file. I guess the scatter file provides the start and end address for flashing into ROM.

Hello,
I visited TWRP site as well as CWM recovery site. Niether of them supports Lenovo_A390_ROW, not listed. I guess coz the brand is new to the market. ROM Manager too complains that the phone model is not supported and I should wait until an official recovery from CWM is available. However, I googled and got one CWM recovery by cappa for Lenovo_A390 but got the dead android triangle. Then, I googled and got a TWRP recovery for Lenovo_A390_Row and flashed this one too (some friends suggested flashing with same scatter file overwrite the previous CWM). But, I still get the dead andorid with triangle icon. What is wrong? I guess the recovery images that I am flashing are not correct. Do you have the correct TWRP recovery image for Lenovo_A390_ROW?
How can I use SPflashtool and make the downloaded cwm 6.012 a scatter file?

I downloaded SPflashtool and the CWM recovery image. It says I need a scatter file and it couldn't continue. How do I make that CWM recovery image a scatter file to flash and how do you flash that into the phone using SPflasher? Do I need ROM Manager for that?
Hi guys! I have been reading through the post and searching for possible solution to my Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 problem but I cant find any solutions. Here is the story:
I have flashed the GT-P1000 tab with clockworkmod version 6 (i am not sure the exact version) using Odin.
Now after flashing the recovery, I have successfully installed Cyanogenmod 11 (nightly build) and everything was successful and everything is great.
A friend of mine borrowed the tab and he put a pattern to lock the phone, instead of asking him what is the pattern I just decided to wipe the tab again to make a clean install. So what I did was I went to recovery and selected "format /system" which I shouldn't have, then after rebooting it is not booting up to Cyanogen anymore, so what i did was I just wiped everything (format /data, cache and factory reset)
Now this is the weird part, the devices has kept on booting up to clockwork recovery and it says the device is not yet rooted, it is asking me if it is ok to root it, I always selected yes
After another boot up, the clockwork recovery is now version 3.0.0.5??? it is really weird? I never installed any clockwork mod with a lower version... How did that happen?
Now whenever I try to install from sd card or restore it or mount it nothing happens, it just says:
E:Can't mount
E:unknown volume
E:unable process volume! skipping
I tried to flash the recovery again using Odin many times but still the clockwork mod is stuck in version 3.0.0.5.
Right now, I am not sure if my understanding of the entire system is correct:
1. Should I install a new recovery, if yes, how and why is it whenever I am installing it again it is not being installed, it gets stuck to version 3.0.0.5?
2. Are there any other recovery I should use and how should I install it? is it the same as using the Odin?
3. Is there a way to install the original recovery of this tab and then from there I will start over again.
@Battousai1
1. & 2. Find an Odin flashable recovery for p1000... Go to download mode and flash it with Odin...
After doing that you shouldn't have the problem anymore...
3. To install the original recovery find the stock rom which is again Odin flashable ... Flash it and you'll have the stock recovery...
