Damaged SD card - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Any one getting a damaged SD card every time they flash a new ROM. Could it be my 64 GB card is ex fat and not fat 32?

Did you flash cm10 or aokp if so that's the problem. Just transfer the files to PC then
Format to fat32 if u plan on using cm10.x again

Thanks bro, I followed the steps to restore card and it worked fine. You have any secrets on how to format a 64gb into fat 32. Yeah the stock TW rom has no issues with the card but once you flash cm10 or AOKP. IT SUCKS.

can i install all the apps/games on sd card on a stock rom?

can i install all the apps/games on sd card that i downloaded into the market? on a stock rom can i do that?
No! But some apps especially games automatically installed in sd card.
If you really want to install all apps on sd you should have ext partition and unfortunately stock rom doesnt have it.
Yes with links2sd
Ive used this on my own rom and on themyth

If your device is rooted, you can use titanium backup to move all your apps to sd card. No need to partition sd card for that

its nothing but the limitation of the file system, if you want to copy files of 4+ gb, you have to format your filesystem to ntfs or ext4. there are lots of guides around here for the same .
Hey..
I
I found this guide and did it.. But It did not worked..
So can you please give me a link to the guide you did from?
Thnx man!

Link2sd problem

I installed link2sd and also created auto link for all apps and also selected internal as my default location for new apps then also apps install on sd card and I have to link them all over
Is there any app or something which forces then to install on internal memory

Why do you need to do that? This fone already has such a "HUGE" internal memory........There are only a few apps that should be stored in internal memory and you can do that manually.

Back up ur apps and data. Format your sd card and make a partition from cwm....you need an ext2,3,4 to work with link 2sd. Your one partition would be fat32 and another an ext partition.

If you are rooted. It will work with anything (stock or custom). I would recommend Ext2 or 3. Make a partition with cwm.

eh, u did read the info i gave about sd-ext?
ext2 doesn't include journalling so boot up time is slow...for more see the link in my signature!
NOTE: With any kind of partition ext2/3/4, the loading time will increase as apps are being loaded from sd card which is slower than internal memory!
But i cant make ext3 mount script iy shows invalid arguement anyone have a solution for this

You need to have ext3 partition which can you get by cwm. But backup sd card before partitoning.
Sent from my GT-S5830i using xda app-developers app
I have done that and then created ext3 mount script on link2sd and error showed in simplicity v5 is there any rom problem????

Yes if you have an external than put a nandroid on that and format the data on your internal in twrp.

I noticed on the latest version of twrp there's no option to format internal storage. Should I flash and olver version of twrp?

Yup just make sure you make a backup in twrp of what you're on now (called a nandroid) just in case the flash messes up somehow. And of course, before you format the internal sd, make sure your nandroid and the rom you want to flash are on your external sd.
