I read all over the web that the Lumia 800 doesn't support tv-out, but then I find this!
http://docteur-gsm.com/en/nokia-lum...a-lumia-800-accessories-mhl-hdmi-adapter.html
So does the lumia 800 support mhl?
MHL on Nokia Lumia 800
I have exact same adapter home, using it with my evo 3D. will try today, but I doubt it will work.
it doesnt work. win 7.8 standard, not unlocked, nor other modification.

do you think it could work with a custom rom having the USB-VideoOut package cooked in?
well I saw ROMs with that package, but I believe there is no HW support in lumia 800. mine is revision 2.4 so guess I am screwed and cannot full unlock it for now. if i manage however to flash custom ROM, will definitelly try this.

shouldn't be any difference. it is a Shipped ROM, so no modifications.
So what's the utility of this?

no real practical use of it, atm. less you want to return to original Shipped ROM.
could benefit chefs, though.
I don't see the point thus anyone could download them from Nokia Care with navfirm and flash with NCS; it seems to me pretty useless, correct if I'm wrong sir.

could you upload the 7740 ROM for the 710 then?
how to flash this ROM ?
I think this thread is really useless. ROM's can be downloaded from NCS and above all, there are no chefs yet, because we can't run custom ROM's yet...

incorrect. for somebody that will 'bash' a thread, you sure don't follow them... see here for those that can Introp-Unlock and load a Custom ROM, when they become available.
plus, this ROM doesn't have to be used only for the Nokia Lumia 800. parts of this ROM can be used in other Custom ROMs for other devices. e.g. HTC, Samsung
If I flash this will it magically let me use the 850MHz band on AT&T's network? Currently I don't get very good 3G coverage with just the 1900MHz band.

I know some people can now load custom ROM's, that's right. However they still can be downloaded from NCS. If you want threads for official ROM's to collect them for devs, they'd better make one thread which collects them all...

Radio frequencies can't be unlocked via a software change. frequencies are locked at the hardware level.

No, but it's much easier to find a ROM if they're collected all in 1 thread. If chefs search for something, they'd rather search one thread (and if possible only the first page) to find the ROM, instead of trying to find the thread that has already gone in the crowd because he searches an old or unpopular ROM...
Just some thoughts...

Anyway Flash a Stock ROM found HERE . If it's branded for AT&T then flash the only rom that says "Cingular". If its an unbranded Titan then flash one of the "Europe" roms available.. Preferably not! the "Tango" one if you ever wan't any hope of flashing HSPL any time soon.

Hmm, for some reason I can't get Nokia Care Suite installed on my computer, so I can't see if NCS includes support for the Lumia 610 but if it is, it should work.
I'm gonna see if I can install NCS and keep you informed, but maybe someone else can set this straight.

HI,
Mine is black AT&T lumia (059L848) and I downloaded via NCS.
I got the product code of dev edition (059R2L5) from this link http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f60...ting-care-suite-download-1660094/#post9434277
So I just tried flashing that version to my black AT&T 920 and it gave me the error Platform ID check fails. Says the FFU file is not meant for this product. Platform ID of image does not match with the platform ID of the device.
Did you flash to any other version prior to going to the dev rom or straight from stock ATT to ATT dev? Perhaps I have to be on an earlier version of the stock ATT rom to do the flash to the current dev rom?

You have to flash to non-portico Rogers rom like RM820_1232.2109.1242.1002 in order to flash your AT&T nokia.

A forum member manage to flash back the AT&T stock rom, but I can find the thread / msg with his steps...there is a app in the store for tethering. It was released last week i think. Did you try installing extra keyboard layout - someone mentioned that this can allows tethering
im flashing to this ROM right now... i was originally in AT&T stock but moved to Rogers pre-portico then jumped to european trying to get to Stock ROM unsuccessfully i ended up with the Mexico ROM and now im Trying this one...
edit - using Developers ROM
- this ROM work perfect to me now... i have all the languages that i wanted to change my phone with, I get LTE as well as before was only 4G
thank you
So for those using the developer ROM, is it worth doing? What's different about it? What's the branding on it?

I bought an unlocked Lumia 920 from Singapore (Country Variant, RM-821_apac_singapore_293) to use under T-Mobile NA. While the Nokia website listed the Amber update as available for 920 for weeks now, I am not seeing the update OTA. Does anyone has similar issue? Do I need to use NCS to force an update?

That program works! Thanks! Now I am on the latest GDR3 via the Preview for Developers. The only downside is it wiped out the phone clean and restore all the apps with settings back and also the live tiles arrangement, but this is more an annoyance than a problem.
