Does anybody have a flash able mod to enable this??
+1.
I loved Liquid Gingerbread on my Thunderbolt because I could skip songs with this mod. I tried it on my Note, but all I got was searing pain.
I thought this was a standard Android feature since I've had it on every phone on most roms for almost 3 years. The only phone I didn't always have it on was the thunderbolt because everyone liked the volume to wake crap. I haven't even noticed it isn't on this phone since my music apps have recently disabled that feature.
I suffered trying to find this too but then I stumbled upon this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024867
It worked for my Verizon Note II even though its from the Sprint section. There's some other tweaks in tweakbox too that are nice as well. Its not exactly a flashable method but its easy enough.

I'm glad I didn't update to build 5 then. It works on build 4 which is what im running.
Idk maybe the updated framework in build 5 or perseus kernel is causing it not to work but I don't see why not.

Tweakbox long press mod works fine on Beans build 5 (with Perseus or without). Just restored the apk to test.
You have to select the Tweakbox module in Xposed Installer, select Xposed Tweakbox on the audio.primary.exynos4.so and audio_policy.exynos4.so library files, enable the 'Skip tracks with volume key' option, and finally reboot. Works like a charm.
I'm a bit confused on how the xposed works...someone mind telling me what all I need to download and install? Thanks

Download Busybox. Install it. Run it and install Busybox. Download the new fixed Xposed installer for JB. Install it. Reboot. Download Xposed Tweakbox. Install it. Open Xposed installer and go to modules. Enable Xposed Tweakbox. Open Xposed Tweakbox and go to Misc. Enable Skip tracks on volume key. Enable the 2 audio libraries the pops says to in XposedInstaller. Reboot.
It only works with the screen off so play a song then turn off the screen and try it.

Thanks to the xda community, i learn a lot from them.
Now my little contribution...
This mod let change the background image of notification panel like in AOKP
(I tested with custom stock roms).
You can change the transparency too.
Here is a screenshot of the interface (everybody love screenshot ...no ?)

This module follow the same limitation as for the XPosed framework : Android 4.0 or later.
Before using this mod :
If you don't have Xposed already installed : Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
...in short...
1 : Install Xposed installer
2 : In Xposed installer activate the framework
3 : Install Xposed modules (http://forum.xda-developers.com/tags.php?tag=xposed)
4 : Activate them in the modules tab of Xposed installer.
Using this mod :
1 : Install the mod ( )
2 : Before rebooting your device to activate the mod, open 'Xposed installer' and go to Modules tab. Click on 'NCB1' and you will see the interface shown in the screenshot (or in your launcher execute "Notification Background").
3 : Press 'Select image...' and choose your favorite picture.
(There is no apply, when you validate your selection the image is saved to /sdcard/notifbg.png)
4 : Adjust transparency if needed and click 'apply transparency'.
5 : Reboot (if Xposed is already loaded you can only 'soft reboot')
Done!
If you like press 'Thanks'
If you have suggestion...you're welcome
Amicalement votre
Note : If you have trouble give me some detail (Rom, Phone, ...)
I tested my module on my Samsung S3 with NeatRom Lite v4.2 (4.1.2)
---
New in 1.1 : I changed the way i got the screen size, may this could could help those who have FC.
I'm currently working on fixing the problem with image selection.
Meanwhile i think you can put an image (matching your screen resolution) at the root of your internal memory (not the external sd ). Name it "notifbg.png". Reboot and done (.
Thanks a lot to all your comment !
I'll do my best to release an update soon to fix problem. New features will come after

Works just fine on stock 4.1.2. I love the transparency option. Thanx for great module!
There is only one thing with my setup, it is not NBI's fault, but maybe something can be done about it. When jused together with XTheme, if the theme replaces notification background parameters/image, it is having priority, i.e. NBI's image is not shown. I know they solved something similar wit the battery mod thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2296698 (post 11):
My module will let you use a different battery OVER the Xtheme, this is the main reason i created it. Hopefully it will help try and stop many people from requesting many different batteries when someone releases a theme.

It is great as it is, it would be even greater if it could be used in combination with XTheme

Well it seem my module have problem with phone having resolution different than 720x1280 (I have a S3). At this time i don't know why because i get the display size dynamically
I will test with my good old Desire (HTC) when i'll go home .
---
For those with FC after selecting image. Could you try ,if you please, to put a png with the size of your screen (ex:480x800) named 'notifbg.png', and reboot your phone to see if at least the module can read an image already in your internal storage. (or try with the one attached to this message)
---
Next version will rock :victory:
Ideas :
- Make it work with XTheme....
- Tweak the notifications rows.
- and maybe more since the XPosed framework permit nearly everything
I can confirm it works on GN2 running JEDI XP14

★★[MOD][xHALO][Resizable] AOSP Halo On All TW Based Roms [10/25]★★
King of AOSP on Touchwiz is Back Once Again..... && HALO is runnin' wild on you brother!
Original Thread Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419287
Go by there and shoot this guy a thanks as well.
Confirmed working on: All Note 2 Devices, Galaxy S4, awaiting more results....:: For those who did not see my post in my AllianceRom Thread or Bean's Thread for the Verizon Note 2::
It is now possible to run Halo (Well Halo Windows) on Samsung Stock/Custom Roms::
(You will either have Halo Window or Multi-Window. There are flashables for both that I created for you. What the zips do is rename Multi-window files in your /system to enable xHalo to work or re-add the original multiwindow files back to your /system to get Multi-window functionality back)
1) Download XHalo Floating Windows from HERE
2) Download Floating Notifications
From The Play Store If You Don't Already Have It.
(Go thru inital setup and enable the services under accessibility; also you will want to go into the settings menu and enable "Launch apps in Halo Window")
This is NOW OPTIONAL, as you have the choice to hold down
the notification you want in your notification drawer,
and the "Open In HALO" option will be given to you.

3) Install/Update Xposed Installer and activate XHalo Under Modules.
4)Download my HALO WINDOW zip HERE
If you ever want your Multi-Window function back, you will download my Multi-Window Zip HERE
5. Reboot into Recovery && FLASH your desired zip.
Once you boot back up, you should not be able to open the multiwindow tray at all if you flashed the Halo zip. It should just function as a back button at this point.

The Correct Safestrap version is in the rom. Make sure its installed after you flash this app.
Rom Was Debloated. Not fully but has a lot removed.
Stuff that's all flubbed up:
**Never use the message delay in the messaging app. Or anything that would cause the messaging app to use the clock. The framework will cause forecloses that will not stop.
I would not suggest flashing any of the gallery S5 zips. These cause force closes also. The zips do report working but did not on the i545
Anything else let me know.
The S5 settings.apk was missing more settings than S4 and had force closes on boot. Was removed.
Magazine is not clickable
Scrapbook may be removed in future update. Scrapbook needs some framework changes to work.
This rom was built from Surge's Stock NC5 rom posted HERE
S5 apps were pulled from S5 stock rom and using Google.

EDIT: Nevermind - I now see the SYSTEM NOTICE: SSL Cert has been fixed! The new site and setup is live. Downloads are working, however we are still working out some bugs with the uploader. If your upload fails to start, please refresh & try again. FTP offline until tonight

There isn't. Looks like their doing some maintenance. I'm at work now. If it isn't up by tonight I'll look into a mirror.
I'm also deleting the second settings.

yes i am using 2.6.1. i was able to fix it by flashing the xposeddisabler.zip to disable xposed framework.
@mikmitch let me know if you need something from me to fix this. from my observation, it doesn't allow you to enter your pin lock (haven't tried removing the pin lock though)

Thanks for the feedback on the lockscreen issue. I was able to re-create the issue with the PIN lock screen and am working on a solution now. I will post the updated version soon!
UPDATE: The issue has been resolved. The module now ignores packages/processes that are keyguards/lockscreens. The updated apk pushed to the Xposed repo.
I am sorry but is this just for fun?

The module is open source and you are welcome to change it to whatever word you would like! I'm also currently working on another module with much more customizable text replacement that I will be releasing in the near future.

works well now! thanks!
just a few more:
- App Lock password input goes crazy (seems like it automatically types in "groot" ?)
- Just a comparison with @Hodor, those in the Status Bar (e.g. Time, Battery, Notifications, Flip Settings, etc.) are not "I am Groot"
- not sure how the sound works but is it really like overlapping or something?
Thanks again!
:good:

Q and A - Read it!
Q. Who is this ROM for?
A. Its for the Home-brew enthusiast that wants to make a ROM for themselves. Its for developers that want to build a ROM for the community but may not have access to a complete untouched file set. Its for that guy that forgot to make a back up!
Q. Who is this ROM not for?
A. Crack Flashers. You will not get a flash high from this ROM. Its stock rooted!
Q. Why doesn't it have any mods? All the other ROMS have xxxxx
A. Its a stock ROM!
Q. Is the ROM supposed to take over 15 years to install?
A. Yes, for some reason it does take longer than normal to install. Marshmallow is huge and I opted to go the old school install method. See reason#1 as to why I would do this.
Q. Will this encrypt me?
A. No, it should not!
Thanks
@Chainfire (Root!)

When you say sound boost are you referring to mixer_paths.xml? Or is there something else out there that is new that I have missed in the past 9 months?
Thank you for this. Very usefull!
Can i ask: which version of SSU is included? Thanks.

Is this the same ROM as the test build in the Clean ROM thread?

I think it will if you know what values to modify. I will look into it later. I am making a slow come back.

For the most part yes. I made some superficial changes to the installer that tells people it will take a while to install and remind them not to let TWRP installer SuperSU. Other than that the ROM is exactly the same.

I believe it can recognize an unlocked bootloader - and some people suggest once android pay has been initially set up, one can re-enable supersu and as long as bootloader stays locked, works - but only on stock/near stock roms.

I read that for tap to pay to work you have to delete or .bak a file in the root/su folder . xbin_bind I think is the name.
