I flashed the Lumia 920 today with the Nokia Care Suite, like I did my 800 and 900.
During flash the laptop died (BSOD)
A few seconds later the phone shut down and now it's not coming back to life anymore.
Tried every combination (power + vol down, power+ vol + camera) nothing...
Is it bricked for good?

Likely so my friend, mine did something similar, you can try leaving it plugged into the mains for an overnight charge and hope that the battery has not just completely drained. There are a few people who have managed to flash the phone again, but they seem to have done it because the phone gets stuck in the nokia load up screen.
Given that the phone is under warranty, I would return it and exchange for a new one/allow nokia to repair it. I took mine to EE and it has been gone for over 2-weeks. So much for the hype of windows, i'v had to go back to the N8 on symbian and Neo running android.

My nokia lumia 800 won't power on anymore.is any fix for that? i tried hard and soft reset, nothing happened.i left it on the charger for 10-12 hours,nothing..what should i do? i don't have a warranty anymore

I'm in kind of a conundrum. I tried to flash the new Amber update to on my phone but the process was interrupted on my computer. The phone turned off and now it won't even turn back on. I've tried the hard reset and soft reset button combinations (plugged into the charger and unplugged from the charger) to no avail. Help/Suggestions?
*Edit: brought my phone into AT&T and they replaced it. Guess I'll play it safe and just wait for Amber to come out OTA.
you can try Nokia Care Suite and the refurbish option
http://forums.wpcentral.com/nokia-l...after-reset-flash-process-defined-inside.html
but you need to know lumia product code to download firmware
if not helps, bring phone to service...

Thanks, but I tried this already. The main problem is that despite the fact that I've left the phone on the charger for several hours, it won't even turn on, whether it be by just using the power button or using the hard or soft reset combinations. Plugging it into a computer initiates no response from the computer or the phone.
Same Problem
I have the same problem with my Lumia 920 - RM 821.
Already tried all the tools of Nokia, but without results, no vibrate and no image.
My Lumia has stopped completely and I can not fix it.
Hi All,
Had a standard Nokia Lumia 920. Did a reset on the phone and it got stuck on the gears screen, so I left it over night. Woke up to find phone off. Started it up and went to Nokia logo then the 3 network logo and then nothing so I plugged it in and downloaded Nokia software updater for retail and it started to update the phone. but failed about half way through, went to try again and now the phone will not turn on. I have left it all night plugged in to a wall charger. Tried power + volume down, power + volume down + camera trick and nothing, no vibration.
If I plug it into my laptop sometimes it will come up and say "USB has malfunctioned"
Has anyone got any ideas/suggestions.
thanks in advance
Crampo
Hold power button for at least 15 seconds, Other than that its a return to Nokia job.
I am having the same problem before then I switch to samsung galaxy nexus, and I work well all the time.
basic rule: if phone turn off because battery, dont try and try turning on because mighty be bricked... plug charger, (and if not turning on) wait 5 minutes and do soft reset (Volume minus and power button together)
if phone bricked use this solution

Hi all.
I have a Nokia Lumia 800 which one evening I was powering off. The next moment I tried to turn it on, it appeard to be stuck in a boot loop or something. It vibrates for two seconds, then after a few seconds, a short vibration comes. This will go on in some kind of loop.
Don't know if the bootloader is trying to get the main FW up and running, without succeeding.
The local smartphone repair centre was trying a new battery and a new screen without getting it on. They simply wrote in their report "mainboard dead".
They did not have the possibility of flashing the FW.
Obviously the phone has some corrupt firmware and it needs to be reflashed.
Here is what I've tried:
I downloaded the Nokia care suite but it seems it does not support flashing a dead Lumia.
I also tried Nokia Software recovery tool, but it cannot connect to the phone - sometimes reporting "cannot read device" and sometimes "the phone is not supported"
I'm running Windows 7 and my PC. Does it perhaps require WinXP?
What can I do?
Thanks in advance, really appreciate it!
EDIT: I tried to follow the guide in this forum how to flash it with Nokia Care Suite, using RM-817 instead of RM-801.
But it seems I don't have the productfolders in this guide containing RM-801. Please help!!
Anyone know what I can do about this?

Okay, check this out:
First alternative, try a soft reset:
1. Turn off your Lumia, and press Volume Down + Power button until the phones vibrates and restart
Second alternative (you will lose all your content on the Lumia), try a hard reset:
1. Press and hold the Volume Down, Power and Camera key simultaneously until you feel your phone vibrates, then release the Power key and continue to hold the Volume Down and Camera key for a further 5 seconds.
Now your phone should start to return to the factory default settings
Last alternative (you will lose all your content on the Lumia), Chimeratool:
1. Try to install Chimeratool (https://chimeratool.com/downloads) on your computer, and make a trail account
2. Turn off your Lumia, then connect via USB, while pressing Volume Up
3. Try to click on "Factory reset modem"
Good luck!
Would you believe it, the chimeratool fixed my Lumia 800 !!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH Youngboy.
I didn't thought it was possible to save the Lumia without a J-TAG gadget or something.
Doing this by pure USB connection is pure magic.
And the phone kept all my personal stuff, pictures, contacts and so on. Great!
Again, thank you very much!!
My phone has the exact same symptoms, but even after doing anything you suggested it still does not turn on.
Is there anything else I could try or should I consider it gone for good?
hi guys, i installed the Rainbowmod on my lumia 800, it seems to work properly but one week ago i forgot to charge the phone.... and when i tried to charge again whit charger plug in, no battery red icon appear on display...so i decided to start the phone and it begin with this strange loop... i pressed start button on the phone and it vibrates for 2 second then after a few second a short vibration come but the phone not boot..

I have exactly the same problem on my Lumia 800 (RM-801), that my Lumia won´t start when my battery is completely discarge by putting it in the charging cable. My solution is to first put the charging cable in the Lumia, and lett it charge for around 45 minutes. Then take the chargingcable out. Hold the power for around 15 second. Then release it. And hold it again.

in my case when the battery is completely discharge i put the phone in charge (when i plug the cable charges phone vibrates for 2 sec and 1 sec), no display battery red icon appear on it so i leave it charge usually for 5/10 Min then after i disconnect charger, press start for 2 sec and the phone boot... note: with official firmware WP 7.8 the boot sequence is ok but i think that little problem is a good compromise for have installed rainbowmod on my lumia ;D
I think i dun goofed on the worst possible way. My phone is kiw-L21 So i flashed cm13(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67863454&postcount=1877) and gapps and the b330 package so you can get the fingerprint sensor. and than i rebooted and my phone just went black. Did i do something wrong and is there a fix available. My phone wont do anything. it wont even bootloop or anything else. i tried all the button combinations and i tried connecting it to my pc/charger. nothing. If there isnt a fix for it would i be able to return it to my seller and will they notice anything? I really hope i haven't hard bricked my phone

I tried the 5 minute thing you said and i held the buttons for almost 2 minutes and still nothing. Are there any other possible ways to get it alive again?
So i have tried everything and now im thinking about getting it jtag repaired. It would cost me €40 ($44), Is this too much for a jtag repair or should i just say f**k it and send it to the guy to get it repaired?
I dont think i have got allot of choices left.
