The rom seems to be running great, updated to the most resent 'nightly" The only issue I seem to be having is that the android keyboard (which I prefer) always crashes, everytime, even if i try voice-to-text. Is there a fix? Otherwise I am running swype.

I've had no issues with any of the nightlies I've installed over the last week or so of having the tablet. Have you tried doing a clean install?

Using the goo inside gapps, the AOSP keyboard has issues. Check out my thread about nightly discussions, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2074202
If you want to keep the gapps you have installed, disable the Auto-Correct and you should be good to go.
Touchscreen problem after flashing cm 10.1
Hi every one, i Flashed Cm 10 and after that flashed cm 10.1, keyboard wasnt working well. One day my battery completely ran out and i charged it to 100 %. after that my touchscreen is working oddly, it is getting pressed all by itself at the position of "v" in keyboard(at the lower end of screen, in the middle), at the same position it is happening, whether it is locked or on the home screen or on the app page. I flashed ICS samsung version, but the problem persisted, can some one throw some light as to whether it is a hardware or software problem.
I was on CM10.1 Nightlies...it is great ROM and a lot of good stuff, but still quite unstable for me.I don't think our Galaxy Tab 10.1 ever going to see a stable release for 4.2.1.
I went back to Stock 4.0.4, and flashed latest A1 Kernel. I will probably stay with that until there's good improvement on CM10.1

Hello - I've been using Vegan Tab 5 since I got my gtablet last Christmas. It has been pretty nice except that the power/screen button always glitches, and every so often corrupts the profile and I have to wipe all my user data and start fresh.
I have the market, flash/hulu, and the camera working. So my question is, since I just had to wipe it again and start over, what is/is there a current, most stable installation I can use that will have the same features - market, wifi, flash/hulu, camera, and does not crash and force a wipe from the damn power button?
Gingerbread? Honeycomb? Flashback? Beasty/Clemsyn Ultimate Froyo?
If there are awesome new features in newer ROMs that don't have a working camera (I think I read something about that in Honeycomb) let me know. My daughter will be disappointed but thats ok
Thanks

You might consider moving to a 1.2Bootloader.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392761
Try a HC based ROM FB 10.3. It's pretty slick.
If you prefer a FROYO base, Beasty/clem Ultimate is stable also..ans very fast
to make your current problem go away, you need to back up your apps/tab and NVflash and reinstall your current ROM

While I do agree Flashback ROM is very pretty, I've had zero luck with Flashback ROM concerning a fully working and stable Flash Player. I watch a lot of streaming videos on my gTab on Hulu, CBS, FOX, Amazon Prime, etc... and I've tried with Flashback 10.1 and 10.3 and neither of them would let me watch videos via Flash Player.
So, after trying VEGAn 5.1.1, CyanogenMod 7.0.1, VEGAn Ginger, Mountain Laurel 3.1.0, and Flashback 10.1/10.3 I've come back to VEGAn 5.1.1 because it's the most stable and fastest for me (with pershoot's latest FroYo kernel).
I've also used VEGAn 5.1.1 off and on for the better part of a year but haven't had the issues the OP is reporting where my profile gets corrupt forcing a wipe/restore. I guess I've been lucky.

From my experience, funny things happening is usually due to corruption data.
NVflash/wipe usually restore most functions.
I don't use flash much, so I didn't care much about streaming.
I'd just tried out Beasty/Clem Ultimate...It is very fast and stable as well...
Thanks for the advice. Flash is pretty important for me, so it sounds like I'm using the right build for my needs.
I wish i didn't have issues with the power button, but wiping/flashing isn't the end of the world. It doesn't happen very often, but occasionally when the screen sleeps, the button won't bring it back up. After few tries the tab reboots and then sometimes i end up with a corrupt profile and it wont startup.
I'll learn to live with it.
Thanks again

I had this problem as well. I read a post on this site to use a program on the Market Place called Wifi lock or Wifi keep alive, seems to work for me. The problem is when the Wifi goes to sleep.
As for the new ROM I have just upgraded to Vegan Tab 7.1 files can be found here
http://vegantab.gojimi.com/2011/08/26/vegan-tab-gingeredition-7-1-0-for-bootloaders-1-1-and-1-2/
Do not upgrade Google Maps this will cause force close for maps you need to stay on an older version I’m using 5.5.0.
An update to Google Maps was released in the last couple of days. After updating, when I open the app it crashes after a few seconds and reboots my tablet. Is anyone else seeing this behavior?
I'm on the cm9-p4wifi-20120511.zip ROM. Prior to this issue, the ROM had been completely stable for me. I wasn't planning on changing ROMs until an IC or JB ROM had a working camera, but now I'm thinking I might experiment just to get Maps working again.
Before I do that however, does anyone have any suggestions on getting Maps stable so I don't have to flash just yet?
Thank you.
Same here, Maps 6.10.0 crash few seconds after been loaded w/CM9 aug 15
You should do a wipe cache, erase data from settings >> app >> maps or probably you should change you kernel flashing a new one
I have also the same problem. Wiping cache changes nothing. I use cm9-p4-20120814.zip ROM.

I updated to the latest CM9 nightly last night, cm-9-20120819-NIGHTLY-p4wifi, and Maps is still crashing.
6.10 is buggy. I only updated it on my Sensation and it causes reboots when I use it, and causes reboots for Rezound users as well. Guess we all have to roll back or wait for an update.
Can anyone post the previous .apk? I haven't been good about keeping Titanium Backups, I admit.
Here's version 6.9.2 - http://goo.gl/4p2O9
thank you, 6.9.2 is OK, no crash.
new google maps 6.11 = same crashes.
back to 6.9.2.
p4wifi, update Maps to 6.11.1. Same problem. The crash occurs each time I enter an area that is cached for offline use, or when I try to modify the offline settings.... or after just a few seconds. Not only the app crashes (that would report the issue to Google, which could be useful), but it directly crashes the tablet (possibly a kernel panic, I have no console so no clue).
I'm having this issue with maps crashing my Samsung tab 10.1 AOKP milestone 6 and my Sensation running cyanogen 9 and when I flashed revolutionary rom with sense. I noticed on the sensation in location settings the GPS source was not checked off (cyanogen). After I chose internal source the problem stopped. There is not this option on the tablet AOKP so it still crashes. Not sure if anyone else is seeing this issue.

Same problem here, with Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500 on latest Ganbarou ROM. Current GMaps reboots the tablet after few seconds. I looked for GPS Source setting and it's present on Ganbarou ROM. However, it is correctly checked and problem still persists. Looks more like a kernel/driver bug invoked by GMaps, putting tablet into kernel panic.
galaxy tab cm9 maps crashes
I have this issue as well. Its a version conflict. You need to install v6? Or something like that. Anyone have the link? Its somewhere on droid basement i just havent found it

I've done as much searching on these issues and I cannot find anywhere that references my particular symptoms. I've tried both AOKP 4.2.1 latest release and supernexus 2.0, and the fact that the exact same issues happen on both roms I would assume it's either a 4.2.1 problem or just some particular issues with my device...
1.) just about every video playing app has some sort of problem. Biggest example being the Twitch tv app only playing audio, screen is black except for menu options. Trying to go back crashes the app. flash video embedded on Web pages (installed flash so regular browser supports flash) works until you try to watch full screened, which makes the browser lock up until you force the process closed. youtube, like the twitch tv app, will only show a black screen where the video should be, however everything else shows up fine (examples being menus and, most interestingly, the preview pics that appear as you scroll through the video show up, but when it buffers it's back to black screen) For the record, I had to install the fix here to get netflix to get even that far, as before it would just stick at the loading screen when trying to play a video.
2.) SwiftKey loses its languages after each reboot where typing does not bring up any predictions (boxes where they would be are blank), and the only way to get it working is to go into languages in SwiftKey settings and updating them. I saw some other places describing the same issues with jellybean but i couldn't find if there was a solution.
3.) connecting to my car via Bluetooth and listening to music (power amp currently installed), if i get a call while music is playing the device will lock up for several seconds and the only way to get everything back to normal is to turn off bluetooth once the phone actually starts responding, call the person back on the device, and then reconnect via bluetooth and continue the music only at that point.
Any help or guidance or info on any of these issues would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

the video issue is the biggest issue in terms of affecting my day to day use, as i like to watch streams from twitch.tv as well as having netflix that works (has anyone seen or heard about the netflix issue i described? thought that was particularly weird...). I guess I could try a 4.1.2 rom before going all the way back to ics, but if it means more apps/features are stable and compatible compared to either version of jb, then that's the way i'd probably go. thanks for the replies

if you're referring to the fix i linked in the op referencing the stuck at loading issue where the fix is to install xposed, that was the only way i even got past the loading screen initially which brought me to the issue I described. if there is another fix he provided for the issue, i'd be interested in seeing the link if you could provide.
I switched to shostock3 using 4.1.2 and everything is working perfectly fine, so I guess all the issues, officially confirmed as problems or not, are 4.2.1 related. I'd still be curious to see if any further fixes exist as I definitely liked the supernexus rom and would love to use it if I can get everything working.

It's in the cm10 thread
Sent from my GS4 running CM11 Kandy Kane
I'm having similar issues:
- SwiftKey works fine
- Google+ Hangout during a call video rendering is all glitchy, often freezes and crashes.
- Skype calls work fine
- Chrome freezes and crashes often
- Gmail Reply All either adds me to CC (if not updated to the latest version) or removes one address from the list (if updated). Saw other threads on this issue but couldn't fix it.
- Automatic timezone switches to GMT
Feels like most of the google apps aren't working for me, but rather than that the rom is cool would definitely want to fix the issues.
The CyanogenMod team has recently created CM10.1 nightlies for the Nook Tablet. Let's take a look at it.
At first sight it looks pretty good, and looks very clean (ditto). There is no gapps preinstalled (also ditto), so you need to flash the latest gapps ROM. This is official CM10.1, so nothing has been removed. After flashing gapps, you have to go through a brief setup process, and you're ready to go. This is a nightly build, but if reflashing a ROM every single day and losing all of your data is what disturbs you, think again; CM10/10.1 has a built-in updater tool, which is available in Settings<About tablet<CyanogenMod updates. I flashed this ROM yesterday, and today there was a new nightly (ditto), and I went into the updater, flashed the new update, and it simply was like an android upgrade when it booted after flashing the ROM from the tool. NOTE: To use the tool, you need CWM/TWRP. This does not work with other recoveries. For me, I don't even know why they call this ROM nightly. It is running perfectly stable for me. If you are on unofficial CM10, and want 4.2, but are disturbed by the alpha CM10.1s, you might want to check this out because for me, under my terms, it should at least be deemed RC. Already. If you are running another kind of CM10.1 (unofficial), you might also want to check this out because it is official, after all. If you are already running some other kind of 4.2 which you are happy with (like PA or PAC-man), you may or may not want to check this out. The new interface does have the pie launcher, due to CMs recent decision to include it, so if you are running PA simply for that, you might want to check this out.
UPDATE: Looks like the CM team has build a new RC2 at this point (which I am running of course). It eliminates basically all of the bugs I described earlier, and is much more stable than other 4.2.2 ROMs I have looked at (I have not looked at Xylon, Liquid, Carbon, or Slim however) (I have looked at PAC and Ubuntu) (Tried to flash Slim once but failed something about /tmp/sideload.zip, I reset to factory). The only problem I have had with it is that initially the Play Store didn't work (same with 20130518 nightly). I think it was the fact that I dirty reflash ROM updates. Wiping fixed it. Also, I occasionally see freezes or delays. But still, more stable than others, and I am in high anticipation for stable
Recommendations: If you are on anything, check this ROM out. Flash it. Just flash it already. It's awesome. I recommend this ROM over anything xD.
The biggest problem is battery drain too fast. Because Nook Tablet is not compatible with standard Android hardware and it's eBook Reader, I always wish it's better battery life for using every day as eReader Plus with fully Android features

Have you tried a different clock app? Or, changed governor settings? What happens if you use setcpu (app from play store) and forced min to say 200. What make you think it's a deep sleep issue? Are you using better battery stats app to see what's happening?
Or better yet, what have/haven't you tried?

This ROM MAY NOT have the problem of WIFI radio staying ON during sleep.
My particular NT has problems using CPUtuner ( a way to trigger to turn off WIFI when the screen goes out, or if the NT goes to sleep): CPUTuner disables the radio, but leaves WIFI set as ON, like the built-in wifi sleep management.
I now use AutomateIT, which turns WIFI off, rather than turning off the radio. This works well for me. So then deep sleep works.
The problem with this, as I just got reminded, is that anything downloading (with the browser, or like magazines in Zinio... STOP or FAIL when the screen goes out.)
I just put on 041613 nightly, and the Nook disconnects from the AP when it sleeps.
I'll have to see about power usage, but it looks good. (nope, lost 10-12% overnight.... back to turning WIFI off with a service)
This ROM also seems to default to landscape. Mine has 0 degree as Landscape. 'Power widget' auto-orientation off/on is not working for me.
I had to run Fix Permissions and/or cache format in CWM 6.0.3 (what I already had loaded. I did not load the recovery in the first post. I don't know what version it is) to fix a mediascanner error at boot with this ROM.
Zinio won't connect to it's servers with this ROM.
WPA2 connections sometimes fail and need retries to get connected.
The good is that this ROM feels great, so I'm sticking with it. Most responsive I've used so far (although 'bout the same as 2/6 AOSP ROM).
Started with CM7, then updated to demetris_I's CM10 build (huge thanks for a great product) then did the CM Update from my table this morning 04/19 nightly and it is is smooth and fast. Huge props to CM and everyone that made this a possibility.
I have a Pattern Lock set and when I either re-boot or power on, the lock screen get's skipped and it launches directly to the home screen with a Clock has stopped error. But if I then launch a program and come back to the home screen it locks and I have to enter my pattern. Any body else seeing this?
Is there a way to enable larger multitasking images like in the sgt7 ROMs? And tablet ui only in landscape?

I tested stock camera on 4.2.2 sense 5 rom (there's a package of cm11 apps in play store) and there's also this lag. just try other camera apps and it should be fine. and latest nightly is stable enough for daily usage?
Is the 20140606 stable? (I know it's nightly but you know what I mean) I'm still using some build from February which is a milestone release. Rock solid.
Too bad Lloir's phone is fooked up.

I'm using these nightlies on my daily device since months. most annoying were the rotation bug and the bug where chrome got black on some sites when keyboard was acitvated (appeared in nightlies of last month) - both are gone now.
I cant say if its stable after 1 day of usage. in nightlies before I had freezes from time to time (especially when using gps - in my opinion) and had to hard reboot my device. this could happen 2 times a day or once in the week.
in nightlies about 2-3 weeks ago a had a bug where sometimes u couldnt hear your dialogue partner (had to recall) - didnt happen anymore
well... its your decision if u can live with that. for me it's ok and I won't stuck on 4.2.2
I'm sorry... All back. Rotation bug is still here back. Dont know why it worked so well this morning
