In Japan the Samsung Galaxy S III has an upgraded model called Alpha under the service provider Docomo. I was interested in knowing whether anybody had attempted to root the new device. I tried to post a link but I was blocked.

You will have the international i9300, so you are in the right thread most information you will need is in general/stickies regarding root/firmware etc

Did you ever get your 3G running?
I am considering this phone, is it the same as yours (N9700)?

If it is the same, what process's did you use to root, cwm and custom rom?

The SGH–I757 and the SGH-I757m are the galaxy S II skyrocket, which is completely different hardware from the SGH-I777. To look for an answer to your question, you should go to the forum for that phone.
Yes it is very possible, I'll send you the links to the guides once I get him. In the meantime pm me so I won't forget. I just rooted my i757m and flashed a new radio on it yesterday and it is working like a charm.
