You can also use flashtool to root your device! There's an icon in shape of a lock!
Click that once you install flashtool and drivers!
For how to :

AFAIK...62 firmware couldn't be rooted via doomlord's method or zergrush method.
For that he will have to downgrade to .42...root it via doomlord's method...install recovery and then upgrade to .62....correct me if i am wrong bcoz by the time .62 was released, i had unlocked the bootloader already...and used custom roms.

I.think its better to unlock Bootloade with testpoint method, ant flash Moded kernel.

I have rooted my Neo V while on ICS and I think the script only doesnt work for the 4.0.4 Kernel.
I have rooted it this way:
Update to newest version 4.0.4
flash 4.1.A Kernel with Flashtool
root with the DoomLord script
flash 4.1.B Kernel back
If you are still on Android 2.3.x I think you can use the script and uptade after it with flashtool.

SuperOneClick is for rooting and it uses same exploit as DoomLord's program for Xperia phones, so it won't help.

Nothing he just update it to 431 if you dont have cwm or otherwise you cant install with cwm then you get an error cannot install etc, and if you have root then he will still have root, so then you have rooted 431 like my Neo V
I willy not brick my neo v???

Cant root

Cant root my sola after 6.1.1.B.54 update...any solution ?
Sent from my MT27i using xda premium
You can try the method used in xperia p. I used it for my U and it worked.
1) Install previous stock kernel and root it.
2)install .54 kernel again.
If you get a black screen after step 1.try this
1)flash previous stock rom again.
2)now flash .54 rom WITHOUT kernel.and root it.
3)flash .54 kernel again
Try at your own risk.keep the backup for sure.
If I helped you hit Thanks. If I am wrong, correct me
Search before posting.
It's easy to root.

flash a previous core
Follow the steps here just replace the Xperia U files with your Sola files

[Q[Need help with CM9 onn Xperia Neo V!!!

So I have a MT11i on .42 firmware rooted. Now I want to Install a stable CM9 for Neo V (haida) but I have some questions before messing up!
First of all I want to know if I can use CM9 on GB 2.3.4 .42 on 56 baseband. I know that I need to unlock my bootloader before installing kernels and roms. Also when I downloaded the CM9 ROM I found 3 files. META-INF, system and boot which is the kernel. So, once I put the kernel which file I should flash on CMW? The META-INF or the system. I think that I need to make another folder and put these folders in it. Is it right???
That's all. Thanks in advance and please help me. I have already searched but didn't find the answers on my questions. Thanks again!
baseband u have to use a ics one i wouldnt recomed that one. i used the .72 and it was fine. the kernel is in the zip names boot.img. if its not there got to get.cm and select the cm that is for your device. in your cAse it is "haida" for neo v
press thanks if i helped!!

Problems rooting my Experia U

Hello everyone! So i got my Xperia U for christmas, and i wanted to root it, me and my friend have tried to root our xperia u's but it's not working.
We have tried bin4rys, z4root and flashtool, it goes through the process and reboots, but we still doesnt have root acces, on flashtool it says "root hack didn't work, cleaning hack files".
Our versions: android ics 4.0.4 build: 6.1.1.B.1.54
(we have installed adb drivers, but we haven't unlocked bootloader)
Thanks!

Try Unlock Root, or SuperOneClick (or as mostafa says, check the forums).
use slackerzz method..heres the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029756
.54 isnt rootable so you have to flash back to .10 and perform root, then flash .54 again..it's all in there :good:
edit: theres a line there that says dont use on xU because the kernels provided are for xSola..you'd have to find a source for the kernels of xU, or you can just search for that in the xU section..
