Note: Just realized this should probably go into the Questions part. Sorry!
So I've had this phone for about 3 weeks now, and everything has been working perfectly. However, two days ago, things started to get weird. First, my phone started dying a little quicker than it had previously. I was a little worried because I was barely using it, but didn't really pay attention. It was at 65% when I plugged it in before going to bed. When I woke up, about 8 hours later, it was only at 85%. I got even more worried, but let it finish it's charging cycle. That day, I watched my phone, and it seemed like it went back to normal, with its percent drop rate seemingly the same as it had been. Again, before going to bed, I plugged it in at something like 79%. 6 hours later, I wake up, and see that it's only at 89%. I began to get frustrated. I looked at my battery stats, and it says that it will take Nine hours to fully charge.
Surely this is a mistake? It's not like it claims its fully charged at 89%. It just keeps charging seemingly never reaching full charge. Has this been happening with anyone else?

Hi everyone,
This is not a battery life problem. I've read the battery threads and could not find someone with a similar problem.
My problem: I left my phone locked and untouched while I went shower. Afterwards I decided to check my phone but it did not respond. I tried to turn it on but that failed too. The screen stayed black as if it was off. I ended up taking the battery out, putting it back in and turning the phone on.
The phone did turn on but my battery temperature was 45°C and 48%. My battery was 75% before I went shower. I checked the battery status page and here's what it showed. Notice the vertical drop in battery at the end of the graph.

After a few minutes since restarting:
The android os % also has never been this high before. I've also never experienced any battery problems mentioned in other threads. I use my phone quite often so display is always at the top. This is the first problem I've encountered with my SGS2 which had made me quite sad since it's less than 3 weeks old.
Thanks for reading and would really appreciate any input.
LHere is what im doing to prolong my battery life as much as possible...
I downloaded Juice Defender, i keep that running all of the time. I rooted and got SetCPU, profiles will be in a picture below. I set it up so that as my battery drains so does my speed. I am using a plain black background. and not very colorful widgets or apps. I also froze some bloatware. I am currently at 34%. been going for 9 hours, 32 minutes, and 37 seconds on battery. Listening to music for a few hours, playing Pokemon crystal for hours, email constantly running, and texing. Display was on for 2 Hours so far. I will update when i hit 0%.

You said the display was on for 2 hours right? Well if you've been texting and playing Pokemon for hours that all counts in screen on time doesn't it?
Just go to Amazon and order the two batteries that come with a wall charger. I don't have to do any of that and I'm never tethered to a wall. It was less than $30 for all of it.

yeah but i was doing both at the same time
Still 17% left
I was having HORRIBLE battery life over the past 3 weeks and went through everything from running different kernels, roms, etc before just giving in. When I say horrible, I mean if i had my phone in airplane mode while listening to music at the gym (not using the display), my battery would go from 100-25 in only an hour. All the while, the phone became incredibly hot.
My solution: I finally gave in and called Verizon. I explained my phone had been overheating with light/moderate use and the lady offered me a warranty exchange. That east.
After I received my new phone I then installed 3.14 w/ s-off & CleanRom DE 1.4 (same setup I ran with the last phone) and now my battery life is MUCH better. I used it at the gym today with Pandora for about 45 min (screen off) and it only drained about 15% of the battery.
I understand the phone isnt ALWAYS the issue but if you are getting crazy heat from only running music... your phone is probably messed up.

Most nights when I plug my V10 into the charger, it starts charging, but in the morning it has discharged down to around 50% after almost fully charging. See attached screenshot from this morning. Any ideas why it would be doing this? Some mornings it is changed to 100%, tho...
Thanks for any help.

Mine discharges when plugged into a car charger or battery pack when I use it. I I haven't had an issue with it plugged into the wall.
Show us usage on battery stats. Let's see what's using your battery.

Good question. And I'll post some screen shots showing usage tomorrow morning... Although, that is another issue I am trying to figure out - what app is causing my battery to drain so fast. But could it be some rogue app causing it to start discharging at ~95% while still plugged in?

So far, this phone has the best battery life of any phone I've ever owned. By far. Part of that appears to be incredible standby efficiency, which isn't shown in the standard battery life tests the various blog sites run. I waited for several days to give things a chance to settle in, and on the 5th day charged the phone to 100% before going to bed. Nine hours later, it had used only 5% of battery. No other phone I've owned has come close to that. (Another night, I turned AOD on, and after about 8 1/2 hours battery was down 11%. Not too shabby.)

22 hours, and 5 hours SOT later, I was at 38% battery. I've never gotten close to 5 hrs SOT before. If I got 4 hours, I was down to 10% battery or less. (My eyes ain't great, so I probably turn the screen up brighter than a lot of people do.)
So far I'm pretty impressed with this phone.
