If you have hboot 1.5 you have to use flashimage gui made by joeykrim on the market. It's a easy app and it safley flashes it for hboot 1.5 users since we still have s-on
I relocked my boot loader using this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1563840
But after flashing the relock bootloader phone is not turn on. It just vibrate. After few seconds i can turn on the phone again and again. But it just vibrate.
I used official method for unlock my BL
Then I again unlocked my bootloader..after that the phone turns on normally. please tell me what to do??
I'm on rage kernel 3.0 and stock gingerbread
I want stock ICS are there any method for flashing stock ICS without using
Sony PC Companion??
If you're using a custom kernel then it wont boot after relocking, so you need to flash a stock kernel and a ROM that works on it.

I flashed stock kernel using this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477440
but it doesnt work
Hmmm...flash the whole packages including the firmwares from that link then re-lock your bootloader....
if you want to use stock ICS, then you don't have to re-lock your bootloader....just flash ICS custom kernel, then flash stock ICS firmwares.....

Can i flash a kernel on my stock rom ICS ? (i am using Live with walkman)
while installing a custom rom from the developers community can i install it on my stock kernel, is it neccesary to change the kernel ?
thanks for the help in advance
Yes you can install a kernel for stock ICS, just check out development section
And yes it's necessary to change if it's another android version or if the developer tells you in his thread to use a specific kernel

yea so there is a rom i want to install(for live with walkman), and it says that u can load a custom kernel if u want ?
so that means even if i dont load a custom kernel, would it work on my stock kernel from the manufacturer is it fine ? or i will have to load custom kernel ?

There are custom roms for locked bootloader (no need to flash a kernel) and there are roms for unlocked bootloader (you need to flash a kernel)

because modules are missing... if you're on a custom rom, take a look at elitekernel thread (first three posts or so), there's a stock kernel version with embedded modules.
I have stock 4.2.2 rom and software number is 2.18.401.3
So, I can just run that .bat file for stock kernel from elitekernel thread?
