[Q] 2 questions: FM and Emoji. - AT&T LG Optimus G

Hey guys, as the title says, I have 2 questions.
1). I've seen in some places (spirit FM app thread and N4 thread) it mentioned that the OG has an FM radio.
I'm sure they were probably referencing the international OG, but does anybody know if our AT&T variant has FM capabilities?
2). If you look in /system/lib there is a file named libemoji.so, but as far as I know, we don't have emoji support (blank text when my friend sent me an emoji text from an iPhone). And I was able to download a dump of the Japanese DoCoMo ROM and it had more emoji libs and even a folder with the drawables for emoji. Is there a way to activate emoji support on our phones? (I tried making a zip with all the lib files and drawables but it wouldn't install... and I don't think it would have worked anyways, but maybe a more experienced dev would know how to port it).
I believe THIS is the DoCoMo dump I found... this was in the international OG forums.
Thanks.

I purchased Spirit for my other phones and it installs but I think there's some code blocking it from working right now. I am going to ask around a bit and hopefully get a solution

[Q] About Fascinate Rom that suported Chinese language

Hey guys!
I am currently using a Verizon Fascinate. I can use Chinese input method downloaded through the Market but I can not send it through text msg. All of friends who have smartphones (ones can decode chinese characters) are not able to read the msg they receive from me (just bunch of crap lol).
Just flashed with my phone with Superclean 2.6 and it works great.
I wonder if there is any rom that suport Chinese internally.
Thank you very much.
Try miui, it seems to be laced with chinese characters

Would you like to tell me which one of it is the right version? I could not see the page for Fascinate in the main page of MIUI forum.
Is the MIUI rom you are using support Chinese?
Thanks.
The Fascinate port of MIUI is here (it's not official). Mind you, it's a very alpha version, with loads of things not working. Also, are you sure that (verizon's) SMS even supports non-ascii characters? I would actually be rather surprised if it did.
There's a bunch of keyboard app's you can download from the marketplace. The one that I use is Smart keyboard, and you have to download the chinese dictionary separately.

Just flashed it. Msg in Chinese is not working. The thing is that I can reveive Chinese msg fine (from my friends with different carrier of course, like AT&T so I thought Verizon starting to suport non-ascii characters with the release of IPhone 4). But anyways, Thank you very much.

[Q] Accented Characters on AT&T Atrix Webtop?

Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to port Bell's Webtop to the AT&T Atrix so we can have international characters (accents).
I read that Bell's atrix webtop has the accented character feature since OTA software upgrade to v37.23.
Or maybe a way to implement/hack this feature?
Thanks!
Rayan
I supose I'm not the only person that needs accented characters (Canada, USA, LatAm) ...
Bell users, do you actually have that option on your webtop?

While working with Atrix Apps, like search, Gmail or Quick Office. Press and hold the letter you wish to accent, This bring up a menu for you to pick an accent. This will not work while using the Fire Fox browser for some reason though(stock GB no root).

Yes Hbear, I knew that one, but I'm more interested in finding a solution inside Webtop, specially now that I installed OpenOffice in there...
Thanks anyway!

AHAHAHA... I know it's not what your looking for, but as a consolation, Open Office does have a paid Android App. that will allow you to edit documents. This will obviously allow you to use the accents, as long as you use the mobile view. As far as the other Apps.,,,,,,,, good luck in your search!!!!!

[Q] How to add SMS split to my own themed ICS MMS.apk?

Hello world.
Sorry if this question has already an answer. I searched in xda a lot and I didn't find anything.
Well, I found a lot of themed MMS.apk. I don't like them, because I can't get n one app everything that I want ( by example, the ones with Sms Split doesn't have Oriinal TimeStamps and vice versa ). So I wanted to add to my CM9 MMS.apk an option to get Sms Split.
Does anyone know how to get this feature?
Thanks in advice for patience.
Bump. Would also like to know how this could be done to a stock Jelly Bean MMS.

I would also like to know this.

[Q] (Dev question) Using my Lollipop theme (on Lollipop)!

Sorry if this is the wrong forum- I read on google that this is the biggest android development forum so I thought I would get involved. I am just about to release my first app and hopefully with a little help I can do it very soon!
I had my app looking pretty nice using the new Lollipop tools. I decided backwards compatibility is important, so I switched all my Fragments, actionBar imports to the support library. Now (understandably) I can't use my lollipop theme.
Is there a way to use different action bars for different themes? I tried to cast the support ActionBar to a new one but it doesn't seem this is allowed.
Any help would be appericiated.
