Since I updated to Jelly Bean, my HTC One X got crazy with the display. The screen image would get corrupted, but now the screen won't even turn on sometime. I know my phone still works because I can feel the vibrations on it, and when I call it I hear the ringtone.
My phone unrooted, but unlocked bootloader.
Any idea how to fix it ? Million thanks
Is your phone the one x plus or just the one x. This is the one x plus forum

I think he meant One X, because I have the same problem with screen on my own as it showed on the screenshot attached
So, sometimes it get corrupted or even don't turn on. Reboot helps only for some time (minutes, hours).
Did someone encounter and solve the problem? I didn't try to make hard reset because I'm not sure if it's just software issue and not a hardware. Thanks for helping in advance! :fingers-crossed:
P.S. Please, move this thread to HTC One X subforum

Hi guys, my Hero encounter the touch screen doesn't work periodically, sometimes it became no response totally, after a few days ,it works well, I think this may be caused by the static electricity, Is there anyone have the same problem? do you guys have some methods to solve it ? Do I need to change a new touch screen?
well i droped mine today and now i have the same issue but the strange part is that i just had a replacement screen and there are no cracks or anything else, so you can't see that it felt out of my pocket.
Hello I had the same problem.
I installed several versions of Android and nbh files.
The problem occurred with versions nbh for Froy version of Android.
As I had saved the versions that were tested. I tried to install previous versions where I knew the touchscreen worked correctly. In my tests with this file to the touch screen work again: kaisimg-panel2-320-24-05-10.nbh
I hope that helped
when you say not working properly, what do you mean? the a and l letters on the keyboard dont register unless I press the screen really HARD. so that aria of the screen is unresponsive
what does one do with kaisimg-panel2-320-24-05-10.nbh?

I got the same problem!! whats the fix? screen replacement? cord lose? what what ?!?!?!!?
This has been discussed a milion times in the General forum.
Screen problems happen to a lot of Hero owners. Just send it to HTC fir a new screen. Don't forget to install an original ruu-rom on it.

I'm over the warranty. How can I fix it? does the screen need replacing? is the cord detached? whats the common issue of this happening? Whenever I touch my screen the notification bar drops down all the time.
i just purchased a old htc hero selling my spice mi300 i usualy get thr same problem in the lower part of thr screen may be i have to.just live with it as there is no warranty or insurance
I have had the same problem.
Mine is fixed within the warranty period.
But i have read something about failing Digitizers.
Maybe that's the problem?
See this topic:

You can buy them at Ebay just look for HTC Hero digitizer.
Below you find a link to the service manual:

If your phone is out of warranty
Maybe you can fix it by yourself
Hi
I wonder about wifi and screen fault in the one X did they fix it in the one X+ I will sell my one x because of the wifi and the screen and Iam confused about one X+ and the SGSIII
thanks
Your english is hard to understand, but I think I know what you want to say.
Wifi fault is fixed for all One X+, and the fix is applied to all antennas. So wifi, bluetooth, GPS, 3G, all will not have that issue. Screen faults should be much less likely, as HTC has had many months to learn how to properly make the screens.
Yeah Iam sorry for my english its my second language and yeah thats what I mean so now I have just to wait for the One X+
Thanks

I'm also interested in screen problems. When I was looking for One X months ago I couldn't find one without screen flex/ripple, yellow spots problems so bought Galaxy Nexus instead. If there is someone who tested the device or came across a video about these issues I would like to hear a word from them.
I think that is wise to wait for proper reviews.

Hey People, this is my first thread. I have a htc desire x and I recently updated to android jellybean and saw that the notification bar is now transparent (I am not 100% sure if it was transparent before updating). The problem I see with it is that when I slide to left or right on my phone, the picture moves as it should on the screen but the part in the notification bar remains the same. In other words, say I have a straight line in the middle of the picture and I swipe to the left to go to the next screen on the right side, the line will have moved a little to the left on the wallpaper but will remain in the center in the task bar. I hope this is a good enough explanation. I know this isn't major, but for some reason it's quite irritating to me and I was wondering if it's a common bug on android jellybean on all devices, or perhaps exclusively to the htc desire x, or if it is, in fact, only my phone doing this. Thanks guys.
Its a common bug. All people with jelly bean update have this. And wait around, you'll get a fix soon

Thanks for your speedy reply. I'm glad to hear it will be fixed. Have a nice day, man. :good:
I reported this to HTC and they were acting like it's an issue with my phone after sending them screenshots from both complaining users and my own phone and it kinda pissed me off.
They started that restore your phone, boot it in safe mode, take it to an official HTC retailer to get it reflashed bull and after doing everything they said and not receiving a fix they told me to reflash it again (I kinda lost it at this point and got aggressive).
Would you guys mind reporting this because the more reports they have the higher the chances we have that the issue will get to the development team.
Strange

This is rather strange, they usually help me out without any problems. I have not reported this because it's not a big issue to me. However, I do believe, for some reason, that the glitch came with jellybean and not with the new sense version. I have no real reason for this, it's just my gut. I will see what happens if I report this, when I have the time.
please solve the bugs
hey, HTC, we know you read, listen to us, use as as a feedback and these help your work.
hey, HTC SOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF DESIRE X WHICH WE PAYED MONEY FOR.
AND IF YOU BOTHER TO RELEASE ANOTHER UPDATE WE ASK TO INTRODUCE FULL SENSE.

Any news on the update?
Hi all,
So it's been almost 9 months since the JellyBean update and still, where I live(Romania) hasn't been yet released an update to fix the sound and status bar problems! Found out that in India, they released it but not here in Europe! Any news? Or HTC dropped development on HTC Desire X?!
Looks like you have bad luck... Try installing a custom ROM, they have got the sound fix included...
Since I pushed a new RUU onto my phone, the bootup logo has changed from "HTC One X+" to just "HTC One." This may seem like a silly, and vane, concern, but I'm thinking about when I resell this phone and next user may be misled.
Has anybody encountered and addressed this issue? Thanks in advance.

Its the same for anyone no worries. It will show HTC One with a TM and the One will expand and the HTC words will be smaller. It's normal! :fingers-crossed:

You might try the HTC One (M8) Forum, this forum is for the M7.

Hold the power and volume down buttons together and see if it reboots to the bootloader. If it brings you to anything other than a white screen with 4 androids at the bottom then you have a fake
Thread closed.
Not only is this a different device but has no business in development forums.
