There is a samsung galaxy s music widget that's free in the market. Also pure music widget works with the stock music player. I believe its about $1.00.

Not only does it have a very simple widget with only play pause and skip track buttons but the EQ is amazing and the sound quality is awesome!
i suggest you ask the guys out over at Themes and Apps section

The closest thing I found was in the xposed framework, you enable the brightness slider and they have a toggle right there. Pretty cool
