[Q] Change LED blinking frequency without a running app - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
does anyone knows how I can change the blinking rate to a faster one WITHOUT installing and running an app? I've read that the available Apps drain battery and as I only want to change the frequency and nothing else I hope it's not needed.
I'm running rooted stock 4.1.1.
Best regards,
Matthias

[Q] Battery Usage - Could a reboot not re-initialize it ??

Hey Everyone,
So here's the deal, as many users here my X10 keeps on rebooting for no reasons, its annoying but I kind of get used to it now... But what really pisses me off is that it forces the stock android Battery usage tool to re initialize (I ve tried many different apps but I didnt find one as complete as for time screen is on, time with no connexion, accurate % of apps etc...)
Do anyone know a little tweak to make all the stats re initalize ONLY when I plug my X10 and not when it reboots/shutdown.. ? Or if not if you know maybe the perfect app for that ?
Thanks a lot guys

It's not normal that your x10 is rebooting randomly. Maybe reinstall the firm!
The best way to track your batt stats is from dialer *#*#4636#*#* and go in Battery history.
Not normal you say ? I thought it was a well known internal issue of the X10 battery as I saw on so many forums people with this issue.. I think Im waiting a little more before there is a very complete 2.3 rom so dont really want to go through the process of reinstalling the firm now :-s
Thanks for the dialing tips, I went and checked it out nevertheless its not quite as straight forward and simple as the one in the parameters (and some % look fishy, like the screen at only 7% :-s..)
It's not normal to reboot on stock SE ROM, maybe if there is installed some custom ROM with crappy instalation not following all the steps correctly!
About the stats...these are more reliable than when you check them through settings. And you can choose wheter you want to see the CPU usage, Network usage and so on.

[Q] Sleep Of Death (SOD) for xperia mini pro

Hi has any one experience SOD on their xperia mini pro (4.0.A32.335)?
Has my sk17i for 1 week and encountered SOD 4 times already. Always have to remove the battery to restart the phone.
The time and date was also resetted to jan 6 1980 ???
Appreciate any help
Did you mod it? Root? Custom Firmware? Cyanogenmod?
If not, it's a hardware problem, get a new phone.
I rooted my phone using DooMLoRD_v1_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.
Did the problem occur before or after the root?
Or both?
Hi FreeZr, problem occurred once before root.
Then its most likely an hardware error. Im using a rooted phone too and i dont get that problem.
Nope. And my phone is not yet roote
Sent from my SK17i using XDA App
i have this problem too :-(
Has anyone confirmed that it's due to faulty hardware yet?
I have this problem too.
It seems unsolvable. No matter how many kernels and ROMs I've flashed.
So, I figured out a workaround.
Download Wake Lock- Power Manager from the Market.
(I'm not sure if root is required to use this app.)
Run it, then check "Acquire/Release lock", it will say service created. Then choose the first option (PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK).
This would prevent the CPU from sleeping, which may be battery consuming, but this seems to be the only workaround at the moment. Perhaps it's a hardware problem in some units.
Now that the CPU has been kept on, even when the screen and keyboard are off, it would be battery consuming. To decrease battery consumption, root is required.
Once rooted, install SetCPU and enable profiles, set the "Screen Off" profile to the lowest for min and max. Set governor to "powersave".
I had this problem with my sk17i only with ICS roms, not with GB firmwares.
I solved this problem (99.9%) using Rage Kernel 3.2 with stock roms and setting with SetCPU (ROOT NEEDED) with these parameters:
min freq: about 360 MHz
max freq: 1GHz (or + to overclock the cpu)
governor: interactiveX
scheduler: noop
I hope this can be useful
bye

[Q] Full Charge Notification

I have searched high and low to find a way to fully disable the annoying Full Battery Charge notification for the AT&T Galaxy Note, and have not come across a satisfactory solution. The Battery Charged Silencer app does not work correctly on this model, and I am wary of using the Tasker workaround of disabling notifications/brightness at 99% and re-enabling at 100%, as the idea of missing anything during that short timeframe is still aggravating.
Would anybody be able to enlighten me as to a way to get rid of this awful notification once and for all? My device is rooted, and I would be willing to install a custom ROM if there is one that provides this fix. Any way of disabling the notification without losing functionality from other apps would be amazing. Thank you in advance!
Yeah know what you mean, I just turn mine upside down, so the bright display does not bother me when it is ready.

Had the same issue with my SkyRocket. It was addressed in a Custom ROM so I would wait for ROM's and check for the feature.
Figured I would help out on this thread, cause it bothered me greatly since I purchased my Note.
To remove the notification sound for when the battery is fully charged, I renamed the following file: /system/media/audio/ui/TW_Battery_Caution.ogg , changing the extension from .ogg to .bak
[Need Root Explorer, of course]

Try to restart the app, kill it in the task manager and free some RAM i got that problem to and i solve it using this trick or you can restart your phone for better result but killing it in task manager is enough
Sorry for the bump guys,
I'm still having the problem, when I hit the start button the status reads running and spoofing but after (less than) a second ,it says idle and don't pick up any sessions,I tried rebooting ,reinstalling, clearing ram. I'm using a near AOSP stock rooted ROM (Device: Moto G 2014)(OS:stock 5.0.2)

Charging when the CPU is completely inactive is good. It charges faster too.when u charge the normal way, CPU wont be inactive as there will be background processes.
Btw where is the CITY India?
Don't forget to hit thanks
i heard that mesa have offline charging problem, but mesa 3.2 maybe had been fixed, maybe your rom

While charging offline you will not receive any calls, messages or any notifications nor you could use it. Intentionally charging offline is not a good option according to me.
City: India ---> "privacy"
you can try one of this pack content, offline charging fix.mediafire.com/?hlkqvajmt2e5bhu
