Yea stock ICS is laggy and has bugs...
- crap camera (Sony ruined it)
- LED light bug
- Performance issues
- Other problems...bad battery life...
I tried it and hated it-I went back to gingerbread. If you want your st15i to run well stick with gingerbread.
Get a custom ICS rom...or do some mods to the stock ICS rom for getting a less buggy ICS...Gingerbread is good...But ICS is not so bad also...I suggest you to download the latest ICS firmware and flash using flashtool..

Hi guys, i need some help.
I have a Mt11i sony ericsson neo v.
The bootloader is unlocked, and i was using aokp build 4 normally.
Today i tried to update it to build 5 in recovery mode, it all went normal. Flashed the rom, the gapps and the kernel with fastboot.
And when i tried to turn on the phone, it doesn't. The led doesn't blink, the screen doesn't turn on... nothing.
It just vibrates when i hold power, but it stays that way.
Someone can help me?
I did everything right, i always try new roms and stuff. I think i did everyhing right, at least.
Thanks.

Try flashing another kernel like stock one through flashtool flash mode
And flash stock Rom....! Through flash mode itself!

O read this post after opening a thread. Already solved it.
Thank you for your attention.
Hi, im new here, i've bought a Xperia U last week, and i've upgrade it to ICS (6.1.1.B.1.10), i have locked bootloader, and the phone is real slow sometimes (after the upgrade), i've rooted it and install a ram manager to see if that speed up the phone, but its nearly the same, what do you recommend me to do, go back to GB or install a custom rom (which one?).
Thanks in advance, btw, sorry my english
Best regards from Chile
Install infinity rom or tinyxperialite if you want. They will be in development section. If you want stock feel then upgrade to .54 fw

Be clear when asking for help, coz it'll help others to react to your query quickly................:angel:BTW what about your bootloader is it locked or unlocked...........
Can you give more info?
Are you trying to do the following on locked or unlocked bl?
What kernel are you using?
You got that black screen when the rom is trying to boot up?
Or at the start up of the kernel?

No it's not actually you have to install your Rom clean means wiping all data of previous Rom this will definitely help you......

Another thing whenever you flash new custom kernel it's always good to reflash your Rom to avoid further problems......

Try to go back to stock rom.
Flash a custom kernel with recovery.
Wipe everything, including system folder.
Then flash the custom rom you wanted

You do not need to use kernel mentioned there, why not try with Lupus kernel for ics?
And also make sure you choosed your bl in Aroma.
Post again the result after you try.

it's ok now i install the hyperbeamCream.. i though kernel panic is flashable via recovery you need to flash the kernel in flashtool while you in fastboot mode.. i follow this instruction http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514 then install HyperbeamCream
You can not install any kernel via recovery in xperia line 2011

B.54 is the last official universal release by Sony, others are regional releases and may contain bugs.
B.100 is the latest firmware but
I consider c.1.0 (on personal usage) the most stable and bug free of all.
B.54. Has tethering issues and B.100 has internal storage bug. ( you have to restart your phone to refresh your internal storage contents.)

My Sister has a U, and it is a PITA unfortunately.
She used it with stock GB, which was more or less okay, then I upgraded it for her to ICS, it was a nightmare: calls not displayed, lag, slowness to the level of unusability. She did not install many games, etc. it was the first thing to check. Then ICS reinstall, **** again. Now she is using it with GB rocks, which is not that nice (changed the touchwiz craziness to something pleasant on the eyes), and she has no problems. So I would not recomment the latest ICS.
