Hello everyone,
I've installed latest nigthly builds of CM10.1 and a few questions remain ...
I've seen that only the owner has root access but in SuperUser there is an option to "activate root" for all users but it doesn't work. Not ready yet ? Or CM's problem ?
After an installation of an app it doesn't appear in the drawer till I reboot. Known Issue ?
When using the keyboard in some applications every time a use the SPACE button the keyboard close it self. I've installed Go Keyboard and no problem there. Known issue ?
Thanks for your answers
Root works for secondary users for me. Here are the things I did.
1- Opened SU
2- Went into preferences
3- Selected Multi-user mode under Security
4- Selected User controlled radio button
5- Logged out from the Owner login and logged in as a secondary user
6- Tried out root (from terminal emulator as well as with an app like Titanium backup that needs root permissions)
And it works!!
I may be missing something so here a few more details:
- I am on cm-10.1-20130105-NIGHTLY-p4.zip
- Using Wingray gapps suggested in the OP of the CM 10.1 nightlies thread
Hope this helps.
I'm on the latest build but it's not working ....
EDIT : Working now after an uninstalling and reinstalling of SU
And google + is now working but facebook not yet ....
I went to ower user, the SuperSU is disappeared, so I install it and enable multiuser option, then go to 2nd user, install SuperSU too, and successfully
But when I restore app + data from owner to 2nd user by Titanium Backup, there're some conflicts..

Hi .. I recently upgraded my phone xperia mini pro SK17i 's software from GB to ICS 4.0.4 and rooted my phone.
After rooting i installed Titanium backup and remove a few what i thought were unnecessary apps from my phone .
I think i also deleted the google.download.manager.apk i'm not sure but i cannot see this service in my "ALL APPS" (APP Manager) Its not at the bottom or disabled its just not there.
Since then i keep getting gapps stopped working and Google play stopped working .
i have tried
1. Rebooting (multiple times)
2. Clearing cache/clearing data for Play
3. un-installing /Re Install play
4. Download goomanager and downloading latest gapps packed and flashed the zip
5. Delete gmail account and restart and add account again.
Also i don't think there is prob in Google sync...
and checked out all the sites and forums for solution ... i still haven't gotten any solution to this.
i saw in a few places about QtADB and new ROM..but i have abs no clue about what it is or how to go about it
I jst want the Google download manager back and Google Play to work...
I have downloaded a new download manager for now. But was wondering if i can get back Google download manager without have to to do a factory reset.
First: You can ask these questions (for more response) in your phone section which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2054
Second: Wipe /system and flash ROM and GAPPS reboot phone and set it up then reboot again.. Should work now.
Hello!
Today I received the Update for Superuser 1.0.2.3 automatically via Google Play.
SGS2 NeatROM Lite 4.6.1 Android-Version 4.1.2
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...uperuser&hl=de
When starting the app I was asked to install the updated binaries what I immediately did.
At this point I did not receive any error or hint!
I guess that this update wasn't successful
because I do not receive any popup-windows since then:
- Apps which do have root-access already
(which are listed in Superuser!) stay with root-access.
- If I delete an app from the Superuser list I cannot add it again in the future (because Superuser isn't willing to give me a popup-window)
-> it's root-access is gone!
- Fresh installed apps do suffer from this.
(After reinstalling Tasker I experienced this/found out about this
and first thought that Tasker might be the problem...)
Being convinced that the Superuser update just failed
I restored from a nandroid backup.
This time I tried to update the binaries with the recovery-method:
The recovery gives me an error:
The ZIP is damaged or similar...failed...
vfat /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 fstype2=ext4
Now I found this empty folder: root /dev/com.koushikdutta.superuser
which is dated today. (I can probably delete it?)
How shall I now behave and install/update the Superuser binary file
succesfully to the newest version (1.0.2.3)?
So far i do get to see this question on every reboot
Have the same problem. I went to Settings-Apps and uninstalled updates. Now works great
Thanks! It's good to know
At some other place SuperSU was recommended - I'll see what works for me...
I switched to SuperSU now -> works nice
Me too, works very good. How have you done it?

Hello everyone, first (third, actually, but anyway..) post here.
This morning I installed this wonderful ROM (Beanstalk 4.4.2), and got stuck into a little issue:
With the moving from Android Tweaker to Android Tweaker 2, I've decided to remove the older app (I did not like it anyway, but that is another matter), since last update made it useless. And here comes the problem: I can't.
I've tried with Clean Master and it says fail, I've tried with Titanium Backup and it says complete but the app is still right there (and it also "works"), I've tried via command line: pm uninstall atweakerfree.apk, says he can't (obviously, all of them had root access, and I was "su" on the last one).
I also had the same problem with two of the 3 launchers coming with the ROM, once I've decided which one to use, but in some way, after enabling ADB root access, Clean Master made it through.
Android Tweaker just seems to be unremovable, also tried to remove BeanStalk Explorer (I prefer other file managers), and failed here too.
Any help? I'll be forever thankful.
Maybe You could delete the apk from /data/app (or /system/app) via Root Browser?
Or reboot to Recovery, mount /system and run Aroma Filemanager?

Hi,
I have installed a ROM on my 6050Y, not the original one, and when i go to security, in settings, the app crash. So i can't installed unofficial apk. How to resolved it ? Maybe a command for accept other apk or somthing.
Here is the post for resolve, but i don't understand :
Faced with such a problem that does not go to the settings in security. It happens that it downloads from the forum, instead of wasting money. But because of an error in the settings you can not install applications from other sources. But this problem can be solved. Es Download the guide, go to settings, flipping naholim application settings, apps and already there, put a checkmark to remove / install applications. I tried to download the camera fv-5 pro, and so properly set. Installed, it works.)
hello friends ,
recently XDA posted a way to remove stock apps without root using cmd adb shell command , its actually not a complete removal process instead it hides he app from system and doesn't work at all , but comes back if the device is restored .
https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
I removed some of the LETV apps like LeStore , LeMall , Music , Browser , etc
I would like to know which all apps can be removed from Eui 5.9.026S ,but ensures normal functioning:good::good:

You can't remove any of the the system apps using a app. No matter how many times you try. It will restore again. I tried it and finally decided just to disable those things which i don't want.
I successfully removed the SYSTEM UPDATE app of EUI. I tell the method. But i don't know it will work for all. If you removed something you don't know, it will flood error messages. Take a backup before doing it and I'm not responsible if you got phone bricked or flooded with error messages Just install root uninstaller.

It will show the importance of any system app. Except these updater, file manager and the apps you know which can be replaced, don't do anything to the apps marked as key module.
You need a root browser for this. I use solid Explorer.

Give root permission and go to ROOT -> SYSTEM - >APPS
all the system apps are here. Just find the one you don't want and delete it or keep it somewere else if you want it again. Reboot the phone. Some apps have services installed as separate app. Most of the google apps will have that. You have to remove both. Or else the service module will show tones of error messages. Be careful in doing this.
