Additional informations
File transfer:
To enable usb connection go to settings/storage/(menu button)/ usb computer connection and tick mass storage.
Performance
Overclock to your most stable frequency (245 - 710 or 729 mhz = most stable for me, almost none reboot and fine performance.)
Disable windows animations. This disables windows transitions which may result in faster ; for example: returning to homescreen.
Install minimum number of apps, don't bloat your system with apps that you don't really need. Set minimum number of widgets on homescreen to make phone load up homescreen quicker. Lots of widgets also drain up battery.
Use swap file or swap partition to get more free memory.
Wipe cache and dalvik cache once a week.
Use KSM and set zRam to off or 10%.
Use Smartassh3 cpu governor.
Battery saving tips:
Do not set high brightness, especially don't enable ultra brightness.
Turn off wifi,gps,bluetooth,3g when not in use.
Freeze apps that are running in backround and eat your battery.
Use 2G instead of 3G.
Memory:
[INTERNAL STORAGE]:
When you install this rom you will get ~130mb free of internal storage. So, whenever you install some app move it to your external storage using free app link2sd which you can find on play store.
[RAM]:
You should get aroud 45 mb of free ram when nothing is running expect settings app and keyboard.

I cannot start this rom after install.. it's stuck on NaA Jb kernel and I followed your instruction fully, anyone else can help? :crying:

You can reFlash nAa jb kernel,perform FULL wipe and try to flash rom. If that doesn't work,you can perhaps flash stock .ftf firmwire,after you flash it flash right away nAa jb kernel and do full wipe. Aftere flash rom and reboot. This should work..

It was just a suggestion. I had sometime problems with booting on other roms and such.. so I flashed .ftf file of stock and flashed custom kernel right after. The problem dissapeared. I'm using this rom on nAa-jb kernel and I haven't got any problems while booting or installing. Everything works fine. Are you sure that you performed full wipe? And if it doesn't work on oxydo kernel try to flash on nAa-jb . TRY ON nAa-jb

Reflash oxydo kernel again then wipe system, cache, data, full wipe and cache partition. Then flash another kernel.

I think it is fixed. I rebuilded rom again and flashed it twice without any problem.. Rom is under upload now.
Rom uploaded. Everything should work fine now..

Working very well on both NaA JB and Oxydo Kernel, very smooth jellybean thank you so much for fixed it

Just installed your ROM, and i think it's very well achieved. As far as SEMC-style Roms are concerned i think this one is better, however, just as in Piscu's rom, the laucher is a bit laggy, and it keeps redrawing the app icons every time i return to home screen. Another problem with this is, if i change to Apex Launcher, most widgets (like walkman and weather) disappear from widget selection
But i think you've done a good job, i'll be keeping an eye on your Rom

You can't use xperia widgets with apex or trebucket. You can only use them with xperia launchers. About lag, every JB rom is laggy on this device because our phone has low RAM, I think. But lot's of jb roms are quiet fast on our device and then suddently becomse laggy..

Thank you for the widget explanation, i didn't know that. Although XPeria StatusSwitch.apk from Piscu's Rom works in Apex.
The thing i like the most on this rom is the full Xperia style, and it works as good as MiniCM, the lag is the launcher's fault because if you switch to Nova or Apex it gets much smoother (Trebuchet is also a bit laggy)

You've made a so cool ROM bro ! How many free ram do you have with this ROM ?
And is the sms style of Xperia X on your ROM ?

Smart Xperia™ ROM JB/ ICS is a new fabulous custom ROM that was made of compilation between Jelly Bean and ICS that was looking fast, stable, and smooth. This ROM is separated to two parts. Part I is main ROM and Part II is small apps and lockscreen port. It's based on stock firmware ICS 4.0.4 - 4.1.B.0.587. but, I changed Android version is latest version of Jelly Bean 4.2.1. Why did I change this ?. Because, I included JB features such like JB Adreno drivers, Project Butter, and Google Now on this ROM. So, It can be colaborated with lots of Xperia T or V apps, modded something, brand new themes and frameworks, small apps, NXT Lockscreen and latest Sony media applications that was being experienced on this ROM. Do you know how about performance for this ROM ?. It has some performance which I made it better. Such as tweaked of RAM Management, Better battery life, no lags, suitable for gaming, and smoothness. Do you want to install this ? You should download twice and If you want to update via OTA when used current version, you just download part II and you can update part I only through OTA. I give you an additional something AROMA to customize them that what you want. FOR UNLOCKED AND LOCKED BOOTLOADERS
1.Download the ROM and place it into your SD Card.
2.For locked BL,make sure you have CWM installed on your phone.
3.Or unlocked BL,flash one of ICS kernels that you like.
4.Reboot into CWM.
5.Select Factory Reset/Wipe data (wipe data > yes).
6.Select Mount and storage and Format system (format system > yes).
7.Wipe cache partition (wipe cache partition > yes).
8.Select Advance and wipe dalvik cache (wipe dalvik cache > yes).
9.And then wipe battery stats (wipe battery stats > yes).
10.Select install zip from SD card and find "Smart Xperia ROM" then, Install it.
11.Follow instructions in AROMA installer.
12.Select Install and wait for 2-3 minutes.
13.After installation completed, Reboot your device.
14.After booting successfuly, go into Settings > Security and tick unknown source.
15.For locked BL, install CWM Recovery via Xparts or RecoverX.

Fix some apps issues
- Did you got some issues from some apps ?. Open root explorer, navigate into system > app. Look some apps/apks that it caused issues as parse problem if you open. Resolve ? Open my zip, extract some apps. after this, copy into system > app and set permission. finally reboot. It works completely.

MODIFIED XPERIA T LAUNCHER
This launcher is based on Xperia T Launcher that was made to brand new themed !!. So, I modified some pngs and redesigned interfaces on homescreen. It looks fast and smooth. So, It still have 4x4 app drawers. Let's go !! You should choose my modified Xperia T Launcher
BRAND NEW THEMED ON FRAMEWORK
See and feel what's new from framework !!. Why did I made to a brand new ?. Because, I modified some interface of framework-res in both of parts. So, It looks like upcoming Sony Yuga interface. But, in part II that ported lockscreen and small apps, I themed them that it being aimed to appeared perfect !!. It also supported fixed Default Themes ported into some apps that I implemented to fix black background issues for some apps such as Xperia T apps.

In Smart Xperia, I included modified Cybershot mod that I was taken from Rizal Lovins to included for this ROM. after I taken from this. I modified some icons to make looks like Xperia V. So, It has a HDR Scene mod that it makes a better quality of capturing and photos and also It included modified 3D camera app with label name "Cybershot 3D"
LATEST SONY MEDIA APPS

The ROM is promising, I am flashing it right now.

The rom is booting very loong time,so if it it boots long on your phone,it's not a bootloop,i tested.
You will have problems with superuser.
Just flash the su fix from attachment.

So,small apps,newest walkman,BE2,sony apps?no AOSp ICS junk?i hate AOSP stuff in stock based roms.NXT rules ^^

The ROM boots after awhile, the rom is beautiful and new, however the setup wizard loaded at first boot is not ported to mdpi properly,
everything are too big and out of the screen, but I can still bypass it luckily. It is very smooth and bugfree (except the setup wizard maybe)

edit: I think the slider in the slider panel is a bit (just a bit) oversized, but it is acceptable and still looks beautiful.

Yes,it's for all MDPI.
Just change kernel to any custom ICS kernel and flash the rom.
Instructions:
Wipe all(that's data,cache partition,dalvik cache)
Flash rom
Reboot(it's booting so long)
When it booted,reboot to recovery
In recovery wipe dalvik cache and install part 2
Reboot and enjoy!

Hello XDA! I present to you all, the fixed version of the Xperia PLAY ICS Beta released by Sony! I had originally uploaded this ROM and used Kris Dee's Hybrid ROM as a base, which of course I shouldn't have done as he didn't allow it, but now I have taken the liberty to do the same WITHOUT using Kris' ROM, and it works just as well! I haven't had a chance to test everything as I don't own a game with touchpad support, so if someone could test that would be brilliant.

Installation (Initial):
Download the main ROM for initial installation, and any addons that you require and put them on your SD Card
Flash "R800i_4.0.2.A.0.62_phoenixvendor.ftf" using Flashtool/Fastboot
Then flash a kernel of your choice (I reccomend LuPuS Stock ICS/GB, or Turbo Kernel)
Boot into CWM
Format system, wipe dalvik cache, and factory reset
Flash the ROM .zip
Reboot
Play around for 5 minutes
Turn your phone off, then on again
Done!
Tips:
After installation, open No-frills CPU control, and set Max clock to: 1.517 GHz, Min to 249 MHz, Governor to smartassv2, and I/O scheduler to sio
After you have done the above, open Boost My Xperia, tap Multitasking Mode, then press Quick Boost, this is a sort of "initialization" for your memory

What kind of problems?
I disabled setup wizard due to force closes if that's what you meant

I install phoenixvendor, flash lupus stock ics/gb and go to recovery...install ROM, reboot and when ROM is boot up i have eroor with Setup Wizard..stop working and i can't do nothing.. no home, only i can go to settings from status bar and it's it..;/

I waited for this very long time so thanks for your great work. UI running smooth so far. So maybe I finally found my daily driver
And I found bug. As you can see on screenshot below, the vibration icon is little misplaced.

Guys, should I include a modded SystemUI.apk?
If so, leave replies as to what one I should use?

What problem are you having? Have you tried factory resetting, formatting system, then flashing again?

i always do a factory reset and clean cache... clean dalvik...everything i use and it don't work -.- SETUP WIZARD problem... I'm go to the TrueAncestor ICS Final Edition I have no problems with installation this ROM...in this i don't know how but I have problems..

It installs fine for me

Hi first of all thank you for this wonderful rom its best I have tried so far, and I think is pretty fast to, and all good in gaming (modern combat 4 test and getting 25-30fps), it has a little lag in the menu, and yes you should definitely put in a custom SystemUI with shortcuts like to wifi and bluetooth and the other ones that used to be here in most of the roms, and I recommend that you integrate Xperia GX framework because for me it gave me 30mb more ram I am getting 210-220 with that so I think you should make that default, and maybe need some rom and gaming tweaks and this could be one of the best ICS roms, I would be really honored to test new releases and will be send information if I find any bugs.

Thanks for the suggestions, but what I mainly tried to do with this ROM was get it as close to the ICS Beta as possible, but to just get things that we depended on working, like touchpads for example, almost a "gaming" ICS ROM, in the next release I'm including the Boost my Xperia app, it really helps with RAM and performance
Use No-frills CPU Control to overclock etc

Ah thanks a lot dude! I did run into a few bugs like the blackscreen at the second boot, but I think I've fixed that now, I also taken out a few apps that wern't needed/showing in the app drawer if that's okay? (Like the file explorer for example) I also removed Facebook simply because the version in the ROM was really, really outdated

i dont know whats got up to you kids, all roms are the same, don't expect you'll get something you never seen.
you can do all by your self, all you need is titanium backup to remove what you dont need and apps that you can take from other roms.

I am unsure of this, it appears to be working but I need testers on games like Asphalt when the ROM's uploaded in 3 minutes.

YOU NEED AN UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER. (Don't know how to do it? Search xda )
-Flash ICS .54 Stock ROM. Let the Stock ROM settle first. That is let it boot at least 2 to 3 times.
-Download the ROM.
-Copy the ROM to your phone's SD card
-Boot in recovery by pressing volume down button continuously at the Sony Logo.
-Wipe cache, dalvik cache and factory reset through CWM
-Flash the ROM
-Wipe data again (cache,dalvik cache and data)
-Restart your device
-If it asks to restore stock recovery hit yes.

Is this rom base of ICS Sony custom Rom?
Can I stay with Munjeni custom Rom (based on Stock ICS 54) and then flash your rom or I must ftf Stock and etc... first?

i tried to install it using munjeni's CWM (the one used in v14 boot.img) but it fails to boot. it just stays on the Sony logo. i also tried munjenis CM CWM but the same happens.

Could someone help me please how to make touchscreen work again? Reflashed stock ICS .ftf GB .ftf too but touchscreen still not workin so im unable to answer calls and so on. So any help would be very appreciated!!

I found a solution (don't know, it's working or not):

This is why I need the base FW. So, the base is the Sola .54 FW?

this fix may work /worked for some members so try your luck
1.flash your device fw/gb
2.flash xperia sola/wrong fw/ics .54 you flashed in first time
3.flash device fw/gb again
4.reboot
NOTE:do all of this steps with out opening or restarting the device or even do not take the battery out
note you should flash gb with this steps but for sola flash ics .54
do this at your own risk

i reccomend everyone that flashed it , go to a sony service center with locked bootlouder en standard rom so that they can fixed it

Will this work with Xperia Neo L? It's also a HDPI device and it's very similar to Xperia Play which happens to be a 2011 Xperia Device. So I was wondering if this will work with Neo L or it's just like other ROMs that only works for Neo/V/Arc/S/Pro/Ray....

this rom also work on xperia play,maybe it can work on xperia neo l(choose xperia play in aroma ),try and report.:laugh:

So far, so good but..
I'm just gonna give you some details when I installed this on Neo L.
This ROM works with our device (MT25i - Xperia Neo L). I haven't tested all the things that need to be tested but so far, I'm liking it. Just found a couple of small bugs but they're tolerable anyway. But probably they can be fixed on next update.
Since you said that we need to follow exactly the instructions on how to install this one, can I suggest to disable Data Enabled when we first install this ROM since there's a part that you said that we don't have to do anything for 3 - 8 minutes and since Data Enabled by default is on, it may incur unnecessary data that may cause data charges on our bills.
Camera FC's on first time when you open it but once you relaunched it, it works fine. I was looking for the settings for the auto focus though on the camera app but however I didn't find it. Probably it's not part of the camera settings of Nexus 5's Camera but that's fine. Picture quality is still good.
Tested Bluetooth. It won't turn on. It will just stuck on turning on bluetooth but nothing happens. I don't use bluetooth anyway but for others, it's a big bug i think.
I've also tested the Walkman App and I find it time consuming on adding songs to a playlist and the only way to create a playlist on this ROM is by tapping Songs then hold a title on the song then tap Add to then Create New Playlist. After that, you may add songs by holding the Playlist that you created on the Playlist's list then, tap Edit then, tap Add Songs. I hope on the next version, adding/creating of playlist can be done by pressing the Menu button then Create Playlist so that it will be easier. It's kinda confusing for new users but like I said earlier, it's tolerable right now.
If you click on the magic wand on the keyboard when you use it for the first time (Personalization Guide), it will FC when you tick the option for Comma and Period keys to be shown. It's just a minor bug because when i tried to personalize it again on settings, it went fine.
On the Xperia JB Lockscreen, there's no option to center the clock on lockscreen, or the texts that are displayed on lockscreen. It just remains on the right side. Not a big issue too but somebody might want it to be on center rather that on the sides.
Sim Toolkit app is missing on this ROM (I don't know if it's included in GAPPS since I only installed the slim one) but that's not a big problem at all. I just grabbed the STK apk from the CM10 ROM that I have saved on my computer and just pushed it to /system/apps and gave permissions but it will be much better if you put it on your ROM by default.
Will test the battery life for a few days to check if it will last for more than 2 days. I'm not a gamer by the way so I might not test the gaming performance of this ROM.
So far, this ROM is good and I like it. Keep up the good work. :good:

Add this to build.prop
#OSB ( 0 = On, 1 = Off)
qemu.hw.mainkeys = 1
After adding that, reboot.
Make sure that you have enough system space on your ROM before adding this to build.prop since it will make the size of your build.prop increase and if you only have a few KBs left on your system, it will cause your ROM to bootloop. Check with TB on how much system space you still have (I would recommend at least 1MB+, not really sure about how much size it will increase but just to be safe).

Additional Concerns that I found on your ROM, in addition to the ones that I already posted the other day.
As far as Battery Life is concerned, it's fine for me right now. I experienced 3% overnight battery drain which I think is really good already. I'm just wondering if it's possible to improve it more.
As for RAM Management, at fresh boot, it's around 210MB+.. But as time goes by, it decreases and after 24hrs without reboot, it's around 150MB. With just 3 apps running (Settings, Greenify, Xperia Keyboard). Maybe on the next version, you can still improve the RAM Management of your ROM.
Overall, your ROM is really good. I would recommend it as a daily driver. And I think I'll stay with this ROM for now. Thanks again.
