SPB shell 3D - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Anyone using SPB shell 3D on their GN2s?
I have on 2 tablets and can run it on 3 devices with unlimited activation. So far it won't let me activate on my note. I'm waiting for a reply to resolve it.
There is a YouTube video and it looks like the s-pen will work. If s-note doesn't work I'm not sure I'll use this launcher although it is very cool.

I can't imagine why your S-Pen wouldn't work, it's tied to the digitizer in the phone. You will lack a couple of gestures, etc. but get GMD S-Pen Control if you're rooted, it will be even better! I have the launcher but it just doesn't click for me. I feel like by now they should have added a lot more features and settings given how long it's been out and the cost. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip....I just bought GMD pen.

I've used it for a couple of years on previous devices. I ran it for a few weeks on the GN2 but didn't really like it as much as stock touchwiz. So I'm running stock launcher right now. I like it better that SPB, Nova, etc.
Good luck.
As to your problem: have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

Why not? I'm considering buying it but wanna know if it's worth 15$
I like it, although I don't use it as my primary launcher. I switch back and forth between that and ADW EX.
It looks really good and it is very functional, and very fast. Works well to show people the "WOW!" factor as well.
I don't mind that I paid $15 for it, although that is relative to you.
Looks like I might not be buying it every time I try and get it from the market a pop up come up saying oops, an error has occurred lol

I think so, but "better" is pretty subjective.
It's more aesthetically appealing. Maybe not as simple to use though.

Are you running the market DPI fix by any chance? That's a known issue with it, but a work around is to buy apps from the market via web browser then you can download them from the app.
I wouldn't do it on a $15 app first try though, test it out on a 99 cent game or something first. It does work for me via that workaround.
My problem with SPB Shell is my games like shadow gun, nfs hot pursuit, modern combat etc.... Not working even Google Earth and some other apps are start crashing my TP is XRON 2.9.1

Yea I'm using the hacked market, thanks for the tip I'll try it and see how it goes
Edit: it worked thanks!
Edit 2: played around with it for a bit and didn't find it all to amazing so I uninstalled it then got an email from Google saying they would refund me the money, didn't even have to ask for a refund, that's pretty nice

SlideIT Keyboard

I would like to recommend a nice keyboard replacement for the Note.
[Home Page]

I had actually purchased this keyboard for a Dell Streak 7 I owned. I sold the Streak and had forgotten about this great keyboard until I was going through my email's and ran across the link / activation from where I had purchased it.
Anyway long story short, the version is now up to 4.5, it's skinnable and has many free skins to choose from. Also hand writing recognition like Samsung's keyboard. You can also set your own landscape / portrait layouts as well.
There is a 15 day free trial to see if it suits you, just thought I might recommend this, my old activation key worked with the newest version, if any of you guys have used it on previous devices your license will transfer fine.
Try it out and leave your comments here.

Nope!

I do but then again that's just me, if you look at the memory footprint it uses less than swype, has as many features and seems faster, but then again, my opinions are my own, just sharing knowledge I find.

I like the spacebar being offset to the right so i dont type.and.hit.the.period.button.all.the.time.
I've tried this as well as SwiftKey as alternatives to Swype. So far, Swype is still my #1.

+1 Swype is still best. Swift is a good alternative to a stock keyboard, but not close to Swype in my opinion.

Used this for a while on my Captivate. It was slow compared to Swype so I haven't touched it again.

I to have grown fond of Swype, so fast and fluid.

Touchwiz users please chime in

I am picking up a Note tonight to see if 5.3 inches is practical for me or not. I planned on taking it home and immediately putting CM10 or some other AOSP rom on it. I realized though that if I do that, I would probably disable all the stylus features of the phone. Other than not having stylus support, what other things will I be missing out on by flashing away from touchwiz? Thanks in advance.
My stylus works fine, it doesn't have any of the special functions. Other than that and some fun bluetooth issues (which seems to vary from user to user) and a couple reboots now and then. The cm10 roms are great

So what touchwiz apps actually take full advantage of the stylus, maybe I can import them and make them work on AOSP. Also does the note do things such as picture and picture and all that? I watched the video for the note2 and wondered if the note1 had all those features.
I never had a problem using my Note's stylus with apps like Draw(er) and SBMX for the roughly ten to twelve days I was trying out three dufferent CM10 nightlies. Nice as S Memo is, I didn't miss it and I don't think I will when I go back to CM builds.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
I'm sure it's possible to augment those functions, but I'm no coder, I'm more of a hardware guy.
As for the picture and picture, I couldn't tell ya. I'm sure someone who's smarter than me can chime in.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
I guess my question is, do the current note1 Touchwiz builds have features such as picture and picture? Also I was seeing things such as adobe photo shop or some kind of video editing. I'm assuming since the stylus works we can still grab those apps and they will work fine with it.
The special spen features i.e. Snote and smemo require touchwiz. Having jelly bean is worth losing a few spen features all day everyday. Having run cm10 ROMs for a month or so, vanilla ICS feels dated.
Its not like the pen stops working all together. I find myself using it any time I tinker under the hood.
S-pen, S-memo... but there is a very nice alternative called GNote and it works pretty well. This new Padawan ROM is blazing fast and smooth not to mention at 350mb quite light for a non aosp ROM

Is there a good personal assistant app?

I recently read about an app called Utter, that is getting close.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
I have tried many of them including Asst., Google Now and Utter. For myself and what I use it for, to get off a quick text, email, make a call or to ask a simple question, Google Now has out shined the others for me. I do not want an assistant that wants to chat, I just want to get the job done quick and efficient. Utter is nice but being still in a beta it has it's ups and downs, Asst. just never really shined for me, I have given that one a few attempts over the last few months, but again Now just always seems to work a little smoother than the others. Do not get me wrong they all have their own flaws, my advise is try several and find out which preforms to a level you are happy with.

Hidden Settings App for GS4...

The story...

Looks like it might have potential...and it is free.
I have not personally tried it, but I might. The story claims it works on the GS4, but some of the reviews say it doesn't completely work, so try it at your own risk and report back.
