First off I'm on Virgin Mobile.
Using team d.i.r.t aokp (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831841)
the sprint visual voice mail app works as intended.
Using the same apk and install method on CM10 gangnam style (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1873926)
everything appears to work. The messages show up, it says it's provisioned, but the messages don't actually play.
It appears to try to play, but will just skip through the whole message quickly without playing any audio.
I want to use cm10 rather than aokp because there are a few differences that make it better for me. And I would really like to get the vvm working because without it I don't get a notification of a voicemail.
I tried to use google voice as a substitute but virgin mobile doesn't support call forwarding so it can't work.
Is there any way to get this to work on CM10 gagnam style? I really like the rom and its the only thing that does not work properly.
VVM broken on CM10.1 WILD FOR THE NIGHT virgin 01/30/2013 build
I'm having the same problems with getting VVM to work on Dastin's 01/30/2013 Virgin Mobile CM10.1 "WILD FOR THE NIGHT" ROM. Does anyone have VVM working on this ROM? If so, what did you do to get it to work?

I've been using miui since it first came to the evo 4g and have flashed many roms/kernels on many different devices. My problem.....I cannot hear google voice voicemails. I get notified that i have a message and can see them in my inbox but get no sound when i play them back. Everything is good on my computer as well as touchpad with cm9. Having the same problem on an evo 3d with latest version of miui.
Note that both phones were running cm9 before nandroiding back to miui. Uninstalling and reinstalling gv doesn't fix it.
Anyone else have the problem? Fix?
Currently I'm running stock (but rooted) 2.11.605.9 getting great battery life and performance. I don't have any problems besides the fact that BT Phone Book Access Profile (BT PBAP) doesn't work with my car.
The only reason I'm considering moving away from stock is to get working BT PBAP.
When I originally tried the FactoryROM based on the open mobile leak, its BT PBAP worked fine with my car kit, but that was before the MMS fix, and some other things had been tweaked, so I went back to stock.
Now there is also the Thunderstick rom, with more tweaks and customizations.
Is one better than another? Is one more stable than the other for daily use for someone who relies heavily on their phone and needs it working? Are there any other ROMs based on the Open Mobile leak that have been tweaked for Verizon?
been running thunderstick for a while now. It's mostly stock with bloat removed and a bunch of tweaks to make the phone better. it also has a custom kernel with speed tweaks and governors.
I'm a couple versions back as it's been rock solid enough to not need to update. You can try both out to see what you like. You aren't stuck with the first one you pick. And only you can decide what's best for you.
Thanks.
I tried Thunderstick, but unfortunately, I still can't get Verizon's visual voice mail (yes I pay for it) working

No. And I gave up. I'm back to stock.
Please let me know if you get it working

Edit the two lines in the build.prop, reboot, and see post #46 of that thread for the APK to install (or download from -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwxLDEsImNvbS52encudnZtLmFuZHJvaWRjbGllbnQiXQ.. ), and it worked to log in, download and play back voice mails.
Just flashed to Epinters CM10 (JellyBean) on my Atrix 4G. AMAZING ROM!
Only major issue I'm having is with Google TTS. Google Now is working but not getting any text to speech. Same thing under Google TTS settings, when selecting 'Listen to a sample', I don't get any audio. Other audio is working fine, ie notifications, rings, etc.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It's a rom in a very early stage of development. There might not be a fix out right now since JB hasn't been out that long. It's not really a rom you should use are your primary right now because it's bound to have a lot of bugs like this.

It's actually very stable for the most part. Almost all functions seem to work, only thing I can get working is the TTS. Nobody else has reported the issue in the Development tread so not sure if specific to my phone...
Issue resolved. Had to wipe/reflash rom and JB gapps. Google Now with text to speech!!
I am having the issue where when i receive multiple mms's In one single text
(i got mms to send and download using an alternate apn found in Baffles thread under android development if you cant get it to work try rebooting after you restore the apn)
the app itself tries to open it as a slide show then instantly closes, this is a problem with the app since i downloaded an alternate messaging app and it worked fine. the reason i care is because i wanted to have the stock app working due to the "reply in notification bar" feature. can you guys try out receiving multiple messages sent at the same time from one phone to yours and see if it works or if any one can link me to a working CM10 apk messaging app
P.S. i am on the CM 12/4 nightly but have tried replacing the app with others from earlier builds and some PA ones, no luck
i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for this scenario:
i recently switched over from an iphone 5 - i'm running the latest MeanBean and pretty happy with everything for the most part.
two things i miss from the iphone:
- access to a "quick camera" from the lock screen (even if i dock the camera app, i have to unlock my phone before the app will open)
- gmail and handcent SMS notifications on the lock screen
i know it's possible to just drag the notification panel down from the lock screen, but it's slightly less elegant. i'd like to be able to turn my screen on, glance at any new texts or e-mails, and turn it back off. to clarify, the only reason i'm using handcent is because i need group messaging (MMS) functionality, which android 4.1 doesn't properly support. i know the Sense productivity lockscreen supports the native SMS app.
the frustrating part is that android 4.2 gives me the lockscreen widgets i'm looking for (and the group messaging too!), but none of the 4.2 ROMs out there have a camera app that measures up to the Sense one. it's literally the only reason i'm using a Sense ROM.
any suggestions?
gonna try rephrasing my question to see if anyone has any advice:
1) what's your favorite Android 4.2 ROM with working Bluetooth?
2) my dad started complaining about the font size on the iphone 5, so i have a feeling he's going to want this phone back. what's a good daily driver for a non-power user? i was thinking MeanBean

Either stock rooted or stock with goodies... Cm 10.1 is not too complicated either... Pure AOSP android...
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app

Currently I'm running CM10.1 "cm-10.1-20130304-EXPERIMENTAL-jewel-M2", and it works fine with Bluetooth.
It does, however, have issues with GPS and MHL/Hdmi. I was able to get the GPS working correctly after discovering this workaround. I haven't yet been able to fix MHL/Hdmi support, though.
