i am old s2 user in forum but new to s3 section as i just bought s3 after my s2 fell down and got its lcd broken.
so its 4.1.2 officially updated.it is xxella and built is xxellb so i want it to root.so what steps should i follow to root it.

Hi Xda!! I have a problem with odin stuck at get pit for mapping and I'm running on Android 4.1.2 XELLA and really want to root my phone

The re-repartition was not ticked but odin stuck at get pit for mapping :,-(

Yes it's a great chance that the phone is still working but don't know how to root it cause odin stuck at get pit for mapping
Is the phone working after the failed flash, or not?
you can also flash cwm recovery(only) from odin separately and then superuser.zip from that recovery.

My phone still working it turns on all good god bless and hope my phone will not brick cause I know what it is. I have bricked my galaxy note several times and the last time was really bad cause I have done with factory reset and it hard bricked. The Galaxy s3 is an amazing phone love it so much I really want to gain best out of it too. So I flash cwm recovery via odin and then flash a custom rom with cwm?? Wow nice
I cant install stock firmware using Odin because my volume up button is broken. So i need to flash stock rom and give my phone to guaranty.
Can somebody help ?

Please Read the Forum Title before creating a new thread buddy ask your questions and queries in Q&A thread
Maybe some kind person could do a fresh odin flashing and after that make a CWM backup and share it with me . I can provide a place to upload if its needed.

Why is that I got the same problem?
Ok so i have a htc incredible 2 and when i hook it up into my computer it does nothing this is a rooted phone and has a custom rom so i cant give it to verizon or watever but all i need is someone with a incredible 2 to do is have cyanogenmod 7 nightly to do a backup of their phone and post it on here so i can download and restore mine to one that has working firmware so if anybody can help i would greatly appreciate it...Thanks

everytime i try doing it with just the phone its boot loops it so i have to restore but the restore was after the problem occurred.

One more question stock is installing recovery too? because i upgraded the recovery to cmw 11 or what every it called (for kitkat).

Yes, it will. Your phone will heat up to 173°C & flames will shoot out of the USB port & headphone jack. Will suck to be you when this happens (hope you're not holding it).

Also if my phone is Sim free the phone can be no sim free after flash vid odin the stock Rom?

and it goes well.
