NFL 12 tablet version? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I use to be on some ROM (forgot the name and what ROM it was) and when I downloaded the NFL app it was a tablet version. I'm on 2.56 PA ROM now and have everything in tablet form and landscape only. I changed a lot of the app's DPI to match a tablet look and whatever looks kick ass lol. NFL app is the only one I can't change except how big/small it looks and I can't figure out how to get it to the tablet version or even rotate. It always stays in portrait mode. I don't know if I'm over looking something simple or what because I'm solid in this rooting ordeal....maybe I'm tired? Lol just need help if anyone can throw their two cents my way! Thanks guys/girls

Swiftkey Tablet Beta v2.0.0.36

Swiftkey Tablet Beta is now available to Swiftkey VIP members. If you're not a VIP member, go register why you still can. It works pretty well and I'm sure its much better on atleast a 7" device.
Head over to http://www.swiftkey.net and take a look.
Nice find. As long as it gets Greek support I would happily pay for it.
Trial version (smartphone version) is amazing. Must have for those that there is support for their native language.
I like its looks, too bad the split keyboard is too small to use effectively on the streak...but normal mode works well. If only I could change the color to green...
Nice find i like the look of this
Has anybody else loaded and been using the SKT beta? If so, have any of you experienced a Google Framework FC intermitently after install, that you didnt before?

Black android market theme w/out rooting?

I seen the black version of the android Market on the original EVO but it was rooted. I wanted to know if there was any way to get my market to look black without rooting it or atleast what's the easiest way to do it.
If you know anything please let me know because I really like how it looks.
I tried putting pics but it said I can't post outside links bc I am a new user

How about a ? in the title so people don't waste their time clicking looking for a themed market?
Bump.
I'm curious as well.
Why not take the new market, add the black images in, compile it, resign it, then use it to update your current market? Gimme the black market apk and I'll see what I can do.
EDIT: Tried messing around w/ some images. Not sure how it'd look but I can't seem to resign it. I'm pretty sure it's considered a system app.
I tried looking for it again but no luck.

Regular version of Words With Friends on ICS?

I have a Transformer running ICS and was wondering if you could get the non-tablet version of Words With Friends to run on it?
You would need to modify the .apk
All it does it checks screen size+android version(3.0+) and if it meets the requirements the dev has put in it automatically switches

I know you can get one from 1 Mobile Market, and just by the looks it looked like it was more of a phone app than a tablet app.

News and Weather app

I really like the simple News and Weather app (I believe it is a google app) that was on my EVO Shift and Nexus S. I was dissapointed the LTE didn't have it so I found a data app version of it and am uploading it here in case anyone else wants it. It's just a data app so no messing with /system or anything. Click and enjoy
Thanks, this was a favorite on my old evo. This one seems a little refreshed even, is it opening links in its own browser?
Yeah this is the first device I have used where the links open in its own browser. I don't really like that actually so I've switched to a different one posted. You cannot resize the page in that browser for some reason. The reason I liked this one was because you can install it like a normal data app and on some ics roms on my tablet the menu button won't appear if I use the system app for some reason. But my tablet doesn't open links in that weird browser thing or else I don't notice it since I use it zoomed all the way out.
Worked perfectly on GT-I8190N

The 24hr forecast graph is very useful. I've been searching for this app for my S3 mini since my Nexus S died.
Don't know how you found a "data app version of it" but this is perfect for non-rooted devices.
Thanks a lot! :good:
Awesome find... This version is much better than the version I was using prior. Thanks!

"Your device is not compatible"

I was just wondering why some games on the market say "your device isn't compatible" when I try to download them. I'm sure there is a good reason for this, but could someone enlighten me?

I'm guessing the developer just hasn't added it to the list of compatible devices. Might try emailing the developer.
If you mess with your DPI settings you will get that error also. If you are stock then the developer of the game has not updated it yet.

Sorry to be noobish but what is DPI?

The dpi settings is what lets you change how the screen looks for example tablet mode. You would of had to change your build prop to make that change.

DPI = dots per Inch
It's a measure of display resolution. A higher number is typically associated with higher image quality but dpi isn't the only factor involved with image quality. There are also other factors involved such as display size, display technology, the original resolution the image content was created with, the original aspect ratio the image content was created with and how those original factors are translated if required to the final viewing display situation.

Hey Brudda, so I'm on Beans build 7 and right when I flash his rom I go straight to turning this bad boy into my tiny tablet. I love the little tablet look but like you said some apps in the market will show up not compatible for your device. I want to keep the tablet look and feel, is there a way around this so the app will be compatible?

Try downloading your apps from play store before changing your dpi. Once you get your apps on your device I dont think the dpi change will break them.
