Here is the latest that I used. Just flash with Odin and the phone will take care of the rest.
Search i717 if the link below doesn't take you right there.

Just wait until they release 4.0 next month or so. Try updating with kies. If that doesn't work just wait

Yes, you can downgrade to a Gingerbread stock rom from the ICS rom you're currently running.
You can download GB stock roms from Samfirmware.com or AndroidFirmwares.Net.
thanks for your kindness..

Done downgrade my phone. Now my phone running android 2.3.6. Im very now and thanks whose those helped me in this process. So what a good kernel for my phone now?
Sent from my GT-P6200 using xda premium
Glad you got it sorted
I always liked using Siyah on GB roms. But one thing you need to watch out for - make sure you flash a Gingerbread kernel now you're running GB stock. If you flash an ICS or JB kernel, your phone won't boot (doubt you'd brick it outright, but stranger things have happened here).
As long as you do that, you'll be fine Have a look in the development sections of the board & you should be able to find threads with GB kernels that work with stock.

update after root

Probably a sill question but here goes.
I have just rooted my s2 recently but was wondering if that if i update it using kies for the jelly bean update will it remove root. I have not modified it or installed any custom firmware or anything as i wasnt sure as to why i rooted in the first place, in other words i woild be happy to unroot it.
Thanks in advance.
Search for the answer. It's pretty fun to do. And next time post your question in the Q&A-section (not this one, as it's already discussed too many times).
Sent from the Matrix
You cant update via kies with a rooted phone..kies wont recognize your device...you will have to flash the original firmware via odin/mobile odin to remove root..then you can update via kies.or you can download the latest firmware from sammobile and flash it through mobile odin...which will give you the option of injecting ever root and superuser...hence keeping root.and yes you are asking in the wrong thread
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
But even in that case SamFIT should show that update is available, rite ?
