Hello.
I have noticed a weird problem on my Galaxy S2 phone when I flashed it with an official nonbranded "XEO" rom 4.0.4 from sammobile.com
PDA I9100XXLQ7 and now i have no image when I use my camera (but when i press button i have a picture on galery).
Is that something wrong with that rom or something else happened?
I have modem: i9100XXLQ6 and version number xxxx.XXLQ7
Greetz.

You can either extract the kernel from the firmware you downloaded from sammobile and flash as below. or You can use Philz's kernel.
What kernel to choose:
The important part is the Kernel code:
XWLPX-NEE
Kernel code is in red (LPX), for this example, you need an LPX ROM. However, often, you can mix kernels when they are close: LPF kernel with LPG ROM...
NEE code doesn't matter at all, I add it for reference. It is the CSC
XW: mixed, often doesn't matter for close regions. For example, XW and XX are often interchangeable. However, mixing a BU with an XW ROM or inversly, sometimes works, but often ends in a bootloop. In that case, either boot into recovery or download mode to reflash
boot into download mode
start odin3 and configure it as in picture below
connect phone in download mode to PC via USB
press start to flash the tar.md5 package

1. Can i use Rom Manager, and wich version?
2.Can i install ics based rom over stock rooted gingerbread?

1. Yes, any version works. Obviously the latest is the best.
2. Yes, if you have CWM.
In future, please ask your questions in the Q&A section

Yes
1. You can, but I wouldn't. I've read nothing but bad things on these forums where rom manager is concerned.
2. Yes.
one advice don't use Rom Manager 90 percents of the time have problem flashing ROMs . Always use CWM ( recovery mode)

why rom manger ??
just flash the recovery through odin
Why
Why would you? If you are rooted, chances are you have a custom recovery installed already. Just use the hardware keys to get to recovery mode. Rom manager is pretty pointless to be honest.
1q.i have installed this on stock gb - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1288850
now when i turn on phone, its booting but i have this, its normal?

2q. i need to flash ics kernel first and after this i can flash ics based rom? or i can flash ics based rom with gb kernel?
stock
By stock, do you mean unrooted too? You should have root access before flashing kernels and such.
And if you flash a kernel through Odin you'll get the yellow triangle. Nothing to worry about there, you can ignore it or use ChainFire's TriangleAway app to get rid of it.
FIXED: My own stupid. I also have a SGS2 and was using the wrong image as they a named similarly and reside in the same folder.
Hi all,
I wanted to flash teh stock Firmware to my S3 and Odin hangs at NAND Write Start.
Phone: Galaxy S3 International Version
Carrier: O2 Germany
What I have done before:
1. I was tired of waiting for OTA updates by my Carrier so I went to samfirmware.com and flashed the latest Firmware they had for my Phone (German Open; XXALF6). - No Problems
2. Since I like root, I flashed CF 6.4.
3. I installed TriangleAway and reset the flash counter.
Thats it, no further modifications.
Now, since my CSC actually seems able to deliver OTA updates and I want them, I decided to get the original Firmware from samfirmware for my CSC (XXALE8). But when I try to flash it via Odin, it hangs at "NAND Write Start" without any progress.
When I get bored and simply disconnect the USB cable, this does not hurt the phone, but i want the original Firmware on my phone again.
Any suggestions? I am open for anything but would prefer if it didn't involve wiping/factory resetting the phone.

Hello community,
I want to root and flash CyanogenMod 10.1 to the s2 of a friend of mine. I already did it on my phone but this time I'm not sure which kernel I should use...
The last time I used CF-root because it was clear which version to use. This time there isn't even a close match to any of the version listed there.
Here the phone information:

It's a German phone so the information is also in German.
Basisband = baseband
Nummer = number
So there aren't any letters in the kernel version and I don't know which kernel to flash now..
I posted this here because I'm not allowed to post anything in the cf-root thread. Sorry for that

AFAIK there is no matching CF root for ur LQ6 kernel ma8.
Hence try rooting ur phone using Siyah kernel v5.0.1 (tar file for ODIN) using 'ODIN' to get CWM and SuperSu installed with it.
After that reboot to siyah recovery and make a Nandroid backup of ur phone.
then install the CM10.1 official nightlies and boot ur phone, once done u can change ur kernel to latest Dorimanx v7.33
Fixed it, thanks to Zuluman!

For anyone else with this issue here's how he solved it:
Step1(optional): Installed stock i9300 UK (BTU) 4.3 ROM (can be found on sammobile) using ODIN.
Step2: Flashed TWRP recovery with ODIN
Step3: Downloaded "Patched_XXUGMK6_kernel.zip" and "Patched_XXUGMK6_modem.zip" file.
Download
Step4: Installed these via. the TWRP recovery
Step5: Wiped data, cache and dalvik cache, rebooted the device!!
I have a DBT S3 (germany), i must flash my region ROM or i'm obbligate to flash this UK ROM?
Update: if i follow this procedure i will can't install any 4.4 ROMs?
thanx a ton..u just solved my problem..i have a german t mobile which i just upgraded to 4.3 thru kies...thereafter i got the same netork error...did as u suggested and voila..its working...thnks

do u aldo tried all steps given above in the post?
is it necessary to use BTU Rom?? or we can use as per our region??
Thank you so much, this actually worked!!!!
I didn't have TWRP, so I use the newest Philz Touch recovery. Also I used an Austrian Stock rom, not yours. It worked at the first try!
Now I only need to figure out if I can use anything else than stock rom.
Little Addon:
I tried flashing Blekota v11 rom and I couldn't make calls again. But knowing it has to do with a non patched modem, I tried flashing Boeffla kernel. It works perfectly!
tnx tnx tnx, i try 5:h with other method , only this work :good:
