Hi,
I have installed CWM-Revovery 5.0 via Xperia Flash-Tool (Newest Version) on my rooted X10i (with busybox). After this I have rebooted my device and created an backup on SD-Card!
Then I wiped all data and flashed this ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782771 "XPERIA S ICS" in the following order:
1.) Xperia S ROM (Was finished in only one second?!) 2.) ICS Launcher 3.) Google Apps 4.) ICS Addon Pack
After reboot my device stucks endless at the "Sony Ericsson" Logo and I can not enter the recovery anymore. I have also tried to Flash another ROM with plugged USB and Flash-Tool, but this also fails!
Any ideas please?
I hope my device is not fully bricked...
Thanks in advance for all helpful answers!
You were supposed to flash fxp kernel which has cwm recovery inbuilt after unlocking your bootloader. Then install the rom as directed. Try repair option via pc companion if flashtool isn't workin.
Sent from my xperia x10 running ics :what:
If you can access xRecovery, try to restore previous version of your ROMs after resetting facotry default and wiping partition and dalvik cache
If you can'tm check this video on how to flash an original firmware.
You'll need to download a firmware, and put it inside the firmware folder in the flashtool, then start the flashing as described in the video.

Hi,
I unlocked my xperia mini pro and then tried the Fastboot Tool to flash the boot.img that belongs to CM 10. It was always failing with the Fastboot and the command prompt fastboot.
By mistake, I flashed another .img file and now the phone decided now to start up. Not even given any LED colour or so.
What can I do?
Thanks
What Rom did you flash. Second kernel did you flash ?
Device : Xperia Mini ST15i
Rom : Pureness V4
Kernel : Lupus V9
Mods : Beats audio + Walkman V7.5

Please flash a stock rom (ftf file) with flashtool first. If your device doesn't boot after this, then it is a real problem. Remember to wipe data.
Hi,
I started out by unlocking the bootloader and it worked fine.
I tried to boot the CM image file, it was always giving me an error in Fastboot mode saying that outside range or so.
Then I downloaded Rage and tried to fastboot that image, after several trials, I can no longer start my phone.
Thank you

Can I flash a stock rom while the phone is not starting up? If yes, where to get one? I already know how to use the flashtool on my Windows.
Thanks

There are download links in the sticked thread by someguyfromhell, download a ftf for your device
Open flashtool and click the flash, flashmode, select the ftf and click okay.
Now take out the battery of your phone, wait a few seconds, insert battery again, hold volume down, connect usb to pc while holding volume down, the green led will light up. The flashing process will start and when it's finished you will get a working rom again :good:
Or you could try to download a kernel for your device (like rage kernel), take off battery, insert it, hold volume up, connect it to pc while holding volume up, start flashtool, click the flash, fastboot mode, select the boot.img for your device, click ok. That's it

Yes, of course. For any further questions, just ask :good:
By the way: You first flashed rage kernel and after that the stock.ftf? Because the stock ftf has overwritten your rage kernel. You have to flash the kernel after the ftf

How would I use the backedup stock? What's the case, and how to restore, by just going to recovery and restore?

If you have made a cwm backup of stock rom or stock based rom, then when you are on the fxp kernel, do not restore the backup. Firstly, if you want to restore the cwm backup then flash rage kernel or any stock ics based kernel and then go to restore in cwm. You cannot use stock rom with fxp kernel because the kernel configurations are for cm and not stock.
Press Thanks if I helped

Like the guys above said, flash rage kernel and afterwards restore the backup. This is if you want to come back to stock rom one time
I am on CM10 from FXP but made some changes by M66B (SK17 user too)
Look on my signature to download the last version of the extended ROM. Battery improvement on this ROM is one of the main features
Works the same or better than FXP one. The boot.img comes inside with the ROM zip file, just follow the steps listed by mihahn. Last version to this date is 202 ("~FXP202 features 1-3,7-9,12-13,23-24,26,28-38,40-42 (January 11, 2013)" that's the name of the zip file)

Xperia Ray is st18i. Download right rom and try to flash it with full wipe. Don't use sus, if you want go back to stock use flashtool and ics ftf
Btw I never tried miui, but I think the custom kernel for miui is inside the zip.
Sent from my Xperia Ray using xda premium
but i can't go to CWM mode:crying:
Can i flash the rom with flashtool? & how can i do it?
Explain pls....
Download correct ftf for ray. Put it on firmware folder of flashtool. Just flash it....

If you have an unlocked bootloader you should be able to flash enter cwm
I would do it like this:
1. Take off the battery
2. Insert battery
3. Hold volume up
4. While holding it connect it to PC
(It's in fastboot mode to flash the kernel)
5. Flash an ics kernel with flashtool, flash the one you like (or see which is recommend for a miui rom for ST18i)
6. Unplug phone, boot in cwm
7. Mount usb and copy the zip of the rom for st18i to your phone
7.1 if this won't work, do
Code:
adb push name_of_the_rom_zip /sdcard/
8. Wipe data/factory reset -> wipe cache
9. Advanced -> Wipe dalvik cache
10. Install the zip
11. Reboot and enjoy
Should work
I was trying to install the experience rom (v2.1), but during the install, Aroma freezes. So after 10 minutes I shutdown my phone (power button + vol. up button, until 3 vibrations).
Now if I power up my phone, it is bootlooping to the Sony Logo.
My phone situation was the following:
-Stock ICS, latest stock firmware
-Root
-CWM
I have tried to reflash the latest firmware using Flashtool, but without success, bootloop is still there.
Pleas help me, is mt first soft-brick with a smartphone.

Try to enter recovery and wipe data, dalvic cashe.
The other thing is - if you flashed stock rom and you tick Wipe there is no way to be in bootloop again.
If above hint does not help try to flash kernel manually in fastboot mode.

Can you give me a link? Sorry but I don't know how to flash a kernel in fastboot mode.
EDIT: What the hell, probably I have flashed the wrong firmware. It was the one that I used to root my phone, but it was only 5 MB!
I'm downloading the +300MB one, maybe this is stock kernel + stock rom?
EDIT2: OK, this is the right one. I have flashed the .tft and now my phone is booting normally.
Thanks all, although I have not realized yet how could be possible that Aroma freezed in a such bad way.
