Hi pp
I have searched and didnt found any questions about this issue so I need a small help.
I have installed 4.1.2 ELL5 with root without any wipe, my s planner is not working.
Tried flashing and changing permisions and instaling and all the things but nothing, force close.
Any help please?
Thx a lot

Hi,
Is the rom completely stock and have you not frozen or removed any apps after flash?
What usually helps is to always do a full wipe before flashing, usually gets rid of problems like this. I used to get a lot of force closes due to not doing a full wipe, i do one every time now to avoid any fc's.
Hope this helps

Hi, I just recently came back to this forum, pleased to find that we now have CM10 working on Amaze ! (Thank you sportsstar!)
However I did have a couple issues when installing, and seeing as how a lot of people in the CM10 thread asked to redirect questions here, I figured I make a thread.
My problem is that it seems as though no matter what I install, there is always a problem. As far as I know, I am using the basic ICS-Ruby kernel that was dumped 6+ months ago. I installed the CM10 rom using 4EXT, with no issues.
However when I installed the Gapps (gapps-jb-20130301-signed) I constantly had the Android keyboard force close on me. So instead I tried to install the JB-4.2-Gapps-signed. With these, the Android keyboard would not force close but the Google Now search app would force close everytime.
I've also tried installing the DARK GLASS 0.6 ROM by jose, but then the wifi would not turn on. (When I would try to turn it on, it would just hang saying "Turning on Wifi").
It is probably worth mentioning that I did do a full wipe everytime I installed the CM10 rom. I was sure to be very thorough. When I installed DARK GLASS 0.6 ROM, again, I did a full format of partiitions, and a wipe. Still the issues above arise.
Can someone maybe help me out as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

EDIT: I just looked at my phone info, and apparently the kernel I'm using is 3.0.53-gd28c6eb. Is this okay or do I need to flash a new kernel ?
Hi, guys, I would like to ask for some help...
My camera stopped working, but it wasn't just after flashing this rom, it started to happen a few days later.
Every time I try to open it, I get this message:
Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped.
I tried restarting many times, disabling apps, clear cache, davlik, but no luck.
Here I attach a logcat, I hope it helps you for an answer,
Thanks in advance,
macdo
Full wipe and reflash with the new gapps. Simple simple.

So I have had some weird issues. I was running on Slimbean when this started. Out of nowhere my device started freezing from time to times, like if I was writing a text message or something. Everything would just stop and then I had to reboot the system to get it functional again. This started to get annoying so I did a clean reinstall of Slimbean, formatted system and cache etc. That didn't help so I decided to change the rom. I installed another AOSP rom, Carbonrom but that did't help (of course I did a clean install). After that I decided to try if changing the rom to Sammy based would help. I was wrong.
At this point I taught that something with my hardware would be broken. So I installed triangleaway, formatted system and then installed samsung's official firmware with odin. Then I did a factory reset from system settings. My plans were to send the phone to warranty but strangely after running the stock rom for about a week, the freezing problems were gone, when earlier it was a daily thing.
So now I'm wondering what could have it been and why? If I reroot and install a custom rom now, will the freezing start again?
Hi there,
There's a big thread on this, with a solution(I can confirm that it worked for me):

Hello,
About 8months ago i completely reinstalled everything apps etc.. on my Phone, and installed it again, it was not factory reset, i did it somehow in different ways.
But now i can't remember how i did it.
Could someone help me with this?
Because there are often pop ups coming about some processes being stopped ...
And system is little laggy... it was not lagging before (i have enough space free so it's not the problem)"
Regards
I'm guessing you flashed a stock ROM using Odin. Check your device's Q&A/General forum for detailed tutorials.
Flash!

You need to Flash the correct firmware for the Ace using Odin multi downloader!
I can help you with the steps if you need!
Hi, I was having problems with my S3 recently on CM 11 mod - chrome crashing, slow-to-appear keyboard etc when I got fed up with it, did a factory reset, and installed blisspop. But the problems persisted. Now I'm constantly getting the "Unfortunately, system UI has stopped" which I consider to be a problem of the same vein - memory leak or something that has got to be related with the memory. Is there any particular app that might be the problem or I'm looking at it from the wrong angle?
Thank you.
You can try returning fully to stock then flash other ROMS and see whether this problem is still there or not.
Or try other alternatives first because this quite troublesome process
Well I agree it's a troublesome process and I don't think it solves anything since the problems were never there when I began using custom roms..
Bump.. can someone please suggest what I might do here?
Flash the same rom straight over the top. You shouldn't lose any data and it will replace all system files back to original state.
