Hi I am from India.I am using HTC Desire X. Recently I rooted (by using Hasoon's all in one kit)my phone in order to see my native language Telugu in my phone. After rooted I installed Telugu fonts by flashing Fonts.zip. But rendering of fonts is very ugly. So I decided to go back to stock ROM. can anyone help me in this issue?

why dont you just perform a reset. that way whatever you installed would be erased and reset to defaults.

Like ^he said, just perfom a full data wipe, and it'll be gone.

I performed facatory data reset. But whatever the fonts I installed previously are re-appeared in system fonts and same scenario again.

Unknown error is coming.

If it just the fonts that you need to change, try this stock_fonts.
Flash it in recovery (make a nandroid backup first)

No use and same thing happens

[Q] Dualbooting using Boot Manager Pro.

Hey,, I have an Evo 3D GSM fully unlocked and S-Off. I installed Boot Manager Pro but it does not seem to work with ICS roms as far as I've tried. The only thing I can try is not installing a zip, but using a nandroid dump. I cant find any Nandroid dump for http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1512314 Virtuous Inquisition AOSP rom. So if anyone could provide me with it, I'd be really grateful. And also that if they can tell me if it would work. Or any other way to make it work by installing the zip file only.
Thank you.

What issue are you facing with ICS ROMs ?
What error do you get with Boot manager ?
Every Rom (both ICS and Gingerbread) , that I've tried works with Boot manager without any problem.
Do what I did, install them normally then immediately make a nandroid backup, then restore your normal rom and run bmp.

The error I get is in the end when it's 'Editing boot.img' it then displays 'Error making boot.img'. I've tried a huge number of ROMs but it just wont work.
Can you tell me if there's something else you did after installing Bootmanager pro? Like I did try 'Force Large Boot Image'. No luck still.

And what about my messages and contacts? Would all those be still backed up?
And sorry I'm a complete noob. So basically I make a backup of my rom. Then install ics. Then make a backup of ics immediately. And then restore my backup. Then come on boot manager and install the backup for ics?
Lastly, are my applications backed up with the nandroid backup?

Also turn off superuser logging, that's what screws up the rom installing.
Open superuser

My experience is Virtuous Inquisition is made for two different phones. Sensation AND EVO! I couldnt dual boot with it. I even emailed the boys from boot manager. They tweaked a version of BM(excuse the pun) I still had problems with Virtouos. Try other ROMs. I'm installing cm9 ICS for Sensation now

[Q] Need help restoring a backup in TWRP

I made a backup of my HTC EVO LTE Stock ROM in TWRP, I flashed CMX, now I want to go back to Stock, so I went to TWRP>Install, I can see my backup folder under /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/name of backup.. but I when I select the folder it does not give me the option to Install it. It just opens as an empty folder. I did notice the folder is not in a .zip format. Is this the reason why? Did I miss something during the back up process? And if so, how can I fix it? Is it as easy as just converting the regular folder into a .zip folder then try to install it this way?.. Please tell me not everything is lost, lol.. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Need to Restore But Getting Black Screen
Okay so my situation is similiar to the OP.
I was running CM10 then a custom sense Rom.
I made an original backup, but when I restore it I get a black screen at boot.
Typically when I flash a Rom I have to fastboot flash the boot.img which is no biggie, but there's no boot.img that I can find in the twrp backup.
Might be just as easy to flash a stock Rom, but not sure exactly where to find one. Everything I've found is rooted or custom in some way.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

The ROM I'm trying to restore is the original state of my phone. Would this be a stock ROM with a versioning date of October 28th(the day I got my phone and made the backup), current stock ROMs, or launch stock ROMs. Basically will any boot.img work from a stock ROM?
I do see the boot sector being written during the restore process. There is a boot.something.win file in the backup folder for the backup. Can this be fastbooted? I'm a bit timid to try that, but thinking it may be worth a shot...

Thanks for the quick reply, QuickWizard is very fitting. I actually got it after I finished going my own route though.
I grew a pair and went with my got and I went ahead and flashed the boot.emmc.win from the twrp backup in flashboot. It successfully got me booted and logged into the phone. That said the stock rom is so crappy...
But, I was having issues on CM10 with MHL, on a "stock rom with goodies" I was having radio issues with the latest firmawares, so now it's back to my rooted stock backup and I'm doing the HTC System OTA update... Should be interesting what happens next...
Again thank you all with the quick replies!

[Q] Thunderbolt failing to boot after custom ROM

rootzwiki.com/topic/27310-all-in-one-the-htc-thunderbolt-tool
After that I downloaded a rom and installed it through the 4ext recovery, it all install fine and I did do a factory/data reset but whenever I reboot after the rom install, I get the HTC white bootloader and then the screen become black with a back light to it.
I have tried a number of times to re-install the rom and have tried to use other roms but all of them seem to end the same way.
I have used:
BAMF FOREVER 1.1
BAMF MECHA ICS
AIRBORNE GOUI
Killsense 3.7.19
Lightning501
few more
My phone is a HTC Thunderbolt and when I attempted to root the phone it had a hboot version of 1.0.8 and had a stock version of ICS installed.
Sadly I have a phone without a working rom and I had forgot to make a backup so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Preferably I would like to keep the phone rooted but its not necessary.
Thank You

I have tried clearing everything but still doesn't seem to work.
One thing I forgot to mention is sometimes if I wait long enough on the blank screen It boots me back into the 4ext recovery, don't know if that makes much of a difference.
The way I have been installing the rom
Load ROM onto the SD
Do a "wipe data/factory reset"
Go into install sd and choose the Rom which is in a .zip file
I think this is how its supposed to be done, but not sure.

Problem is you were coming from the ICS OTA.
The All In One Tool alone will not get you rooted after taking the OTA.
In order to fully root and s-off after having the OTA loaded, you would need to follow the steps outlined HERE

[Q] Need help! "Data Call Failure"

I have had my HTC EVO LTE 4g rooted for almost a year with the following method...
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ht...s/192777-evo-4g-lte-1-22-651-3-root-easy.html
Last night I asked a question in the Sprint forum why Nascar APP would not go past the "Select your favorite driver..." Page.
Have you updated the data profile and PRL? If not, please do so. May I have your zip and cross streets? I am here for you.
Thank You

Sprint Social Care
After performing the request (Update PRL & Profile) I get "Data Call Failure... Error code 97" I cannot access mobile data now. Will not connect.
I recently got an Airave 2 but this problem happens both at home and parked next to a Sprint tower.
Sprint tech tells me that because it's rooted none of their network reset codes will work (Probably a big mistake asking them for help!) :crying:
I found no answer searching this forum from anyone having this problem.
I also cannot do a factory reset. When I try to select it I get the Teamwin menu.
Can someone explain to me what I did and what I need to do? (Sorry I am not a cell phone nerd... All I wanted was to be able to run Apps that require root....)
I am still at....

I Dont think any ROM is gonna be what you need. If you have data call failure it's gonna be a provisioning issue and you will probably need to walk thru some epst codes with a sprint tech. Do not extract ROM. Get a fairly stock ROM to boot. If S-on will need to fastboot flash boot.IMG after flashing ROM. Once up and booted, try a different sprint tech. As long as you get a ROM with epst (pretty much any sense ROM), it doesn't matter if you have root, they'll be able to help. Maybe just don't mention you have root.

the Big Problem HTC Droid Dna

Hello everyone
I have S-OFF HTC Droid DNA everything go well Normally available.

I can not do anything with it cannot flash official rom.
Is there any way I can fix it.

There is a section called Droid DNA Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting, that would be a good place to post a question about a device your having trouble with. But regardless of posting in the wrong section you haven't provided nearly enough information for anyone to help you.
As you describe the state of the device you should have no problem flashing an RUU via fastboot and fully restoring the phone to a stock like condition (still s-off). My point here is that your going to need to explain exactly what you did to get here so someone can provide you with the right steps to fix your issue.

Problem
1.can not boot
2.cannot return to stock rom
3.can not root
please Help
What error are you getting when you try to install a custom rom?
What ROM are you trying to install?
Have you tried re-downloading that ROM?
Did you make sure to wipe cache, dalvik, data, and system?
Root would normally be installed with the custom ROM, if not you can always install SuperSU after you install the ROM, which TWRP normally offers to install for you, or via a flashable zip (http://download.chainfire.eu/370/SuperSU/)
If you have adb tools installed you can also sideload the ROM. (adb sideload ROM-NAME.zip)
Your best bet would be to follow this guild to return to 100% stock. Hope this helps, just make sure to read through the guild carefully.
