There a load of crap that everyone got overexcited about for some weird reason

ben10, It means small apps are useless?
Well I like small apps , they appear to u when u open task manger"long home press" so u can use them while u r in hurry or while using any other app to take a fast note (text or voice) on something, so small apps obviously r handy apps like calculator, note, voice recorder,timer..etc
To get them u have to check dev section, try this thread

Small Apps are useful only if you know how to use them. Also, the new task manager looks much more cool. For me, it was the reason I even rooted my phone.

Hi dear developers,
Im a totally noob at developing but Im pritty into the Android world...
Im having a web portal in croatia about android news, updates, games, apps, reviews phones, tablets and everything like that.
http://androidcek.com
This is my current app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wAndroidcekcom&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS53QW5kcm9pZGNla2NvbSJd
I did my app on the geyser.com for free, but I hate the about credits of the site and every single part where geyser.com is added.
I was woundereing if any developer can help me out and compile me a WebView app for my portal.
I dont have any money for that cause Im totaly new in the business with the portal and Im working alone ;(
The one and only thing I can offer is design. Everything on the website is designed by me and I can help some developer to make his ROM or anything else look better.
Sorry If I pasted this thread into the wrong section or whatever.
I hope I'll find someone out there!
Thx in advice guys!
Pm me and we can talk if you want a really basic app but cant pay im sure i can work something put

Hi,
iOS... What is it ?
Personnaly I know nothing other than the Android multitasking... , when I googled "iOS multitasking" there is nothing relevant... :victory: :silly::fingers-crossed:
In any case your post had nothing related to do with the OP (Note 2 multitasking windows about SIII port, not a general thread about multitasking on Android VS I*****)... If you want to talk about multitasking there are another threads

IOS doesn't multitask. Simple as that.
To switch between running apps keep the home button pressed to see the task manager.

I want my phone to be faster and faster, Updates in my phone and make it smoother, and wait can i ask, do i need to jailbreak/ rooted my phone?
Can i have the link for the updates and tweaks?
Do what i do to all my friends gs3.
First root your phone. Then install any Jelly bean rom. I suggest omega 29.
You can find the how to on the posts here in the forum. Use the search.
For a fast gs3, most impotant thing. Change your launcher. Touchwiz is a memory eater i install nova for everyone.
Then disamble s voice. And be happy with lightning fast gs3
All my friends love what i do with theyre phones.

You don't have to uninstall TouchWiz launcher and infact you'll still keep TW features like swipe left or right shortcuts in your contacts/call log, etc. But all you need to do is install a new launcher from the Play Store and you will have the option to use as default if you want.
Nova is nice ..Holo is almost identicle but a little newer. Holo HD for Jelly Bean
If you want to improve your smartphone.. you have a lot of ways to do that. Google can help give you ideas but rooting in general opens the door to a lot of possibilities. Best bet is to take some time.. a lot if time and read about rooting, and apps that can extend the functionality of your device !
Oh and please post in the correct section. Questions belong in Q&A.

Hey guys, up until a month ago I have been an avid iOS user until I recently made the glorious switch tk Android. I have figured most everything out except how to add apps that are multiview compatible to the multiview bar. I've tried drag and drop and a few other things but none seem to work. I was really hoping someone could help me, thanks in advance!
Cheers,
David

Multiview functionality is not part of android operating system. That is a propietary technology from samsung, and the applications that can be use in that mode have to be made to do so.

With stock you can only do a small handful of apps (and not all that useful either). But if you use certain Roms (I've been using Jelly Beans for a few months) some come with all apps enabled. I think there is also another way to hack it but probably requires at least root.
Re: Cant add Multi View compatible apps to multi view bar
I rooted my phone the day I got it, since its rooted will it allow me to add more apps to it??

Re: Cant add Multi View compatible apps to multi view bar
Yes, there are mods to do so, or you could pretty much flash any TW ROM under the development section and have all apps available in multi window.

Re: Cant add Multi View compatible apps to multi view bar
Okay, thanks! What about already compatible apps such as Chrome and Google Maps?? How do I add those to the multiview bar?
Also, I apologize for the "newbie-ness" of my questions, im brand new to Android.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
I don't think that Verizon lets you add any apps to the multiwindow view. If you want more apps in there, then you can flash a rom. If you like the look of your phone currently, then I suggest one of the CleanROMs, either the ACE, Verizon Special Edition. If you are stock and you don't want to flash a rom, then you can try this mod here.
Personally I would recommend that you flash a rom if you haven't already. There are so many great roms out there that unlock features that verizon didn't want us to have, or other things like the ability to make the phone look more like stock android.
Re: Cant add Multi View compatible apps to multi view bar
Hello, im a new android user (switched over from iOS last week) and I just had one question for you. Im fairly familar with Linux, so the first thing I did when I got my phone was obviously unlocking the bootloader and rooting it. Im running a stock ROM woth the Team Win Recovery and I was wondering how I would flash from my current ROM to the CleanROM VZW SE 1.5. As you can see below, I have the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II. I apologize for the "newbie-ness" of my question, thank you for your time!
Cheers,
David

I'd recommend picking a rom based on the first posts in the thread for each one (in the development section), and then read as much as possible in that thread. This is my first android phone too, but after reading the Jelly Beans thread (yes all of it, but I'm crazy like that) I feel I have a good grasp on everything. I'm no expert, but I'm not a newb either, and I've only tried Beans and Cleanrom thus far.
Now I just wanna get 10 (useful) posts so I can post on Beans' thread and thank him! :cyclops:

I was looking at the CleanROM VZW SE 1.5 but I am afraid of bricking my device. I was hoping someone had some useful tips to avoid this
What I'm trying to say is that there are TONS of such tips on this board, but they are already spelled out much better than I could explain, so you really have to put some time in and do the research. You should read the entire thread about that rom, and also read the thread on unlocking all the way through. Everything you need to know is there. It's very rare to completely brick one of these things.

Honestly I have no idea, but I haven't dug that deeply into things yet. Just enjoying the phone for what it is. I'm in two minds about Themes as it is.
1) They're good. Some are great. Minus the price (this is a point of contention for me after coming from HTC and not having to pay anything on their theme store, but I've bought a few that I really like and, ultimately, a lot of them are only 70p. Its not that much).
2) I've so far not found a way to apply individual components of a theme. For instance, only the icons. Applying a theme without the wallpaper or ringtones, etc. This feature would be much appreciated, but I've just learnt to deal with it for now.
