You can't set the homescreen in landscape mode. Touch wiz doesn't allow it. If you use another launcher then do tell and I will point you in the right direction. Usually other launchers permit landscape mode by default. If you have your device rooted you can flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2049032 in recovery and you will have landscape in touch wiz but as I said only if your rooted.
Try Ultimate Rotation Control, it's in Play Store. No root needed. Smoothly rotates touchwiz and live or static wallpapers.

Many apps force portrait mode, and the default places the power button at the bottom. I found it too easy to hit power by bumping it against my arm or chest while reading.
Is there a way to flip the default orientation by 180°?
I'm running TnT lite.
Old post bump, having same problem, just got a gtablet.
I'm running Vegantab.
Honeycomb will lock in portrait mode, I use it for reading all the time. That's one of my favorite things about it

Depends which launcher you have. Vtl launcher you need to go to settings and allow 180 rotation.
Apps natively have portrait mode with the soft keys on the top and the power button on the bottom
Is there a way to change that?

Galaxy Tab 10.1, ADW EX launcher:
using "desktop visualizer" to make custom icons I can see the icons update very slow/lag on screen rotate (also when turning the screen on).
Anyone have a solution for this, or other app to make custom icons on the desktop?
Anyone?

I locked my screen so it doesn't rotate, only my browser and apps rotate. Not really a solution but at least my tab never looks messed up.

Hi does anybody know if there is a mod to get the screen to stay landscape during a call.?
I use apex launcher so I can have screen landscape on the homescreen something that tw does not support but whenever I make a call the screen goes back to portrait?

I understand why people may not be looking at this thread due to the fact people may think wht would I want such a mod, the reason I am looking for this mod is I use a landscape car holder with drivelink app and when my phone rings the caller dispalys portrait and not landscape. its just very annnoying.

This is not my app and the dev did not hire me to solicit, just wanted to share.
The perfect app to fit non-scrolling wallpapers for our screen! Not sure if it's available at the play store if your DPI isn't set for tablet mode but if you're sick of resizing wallpapers, this is a must have.
The app acts as a settings center. Choose the image setting (landscape or portrait) and add your pic/image, then go to live wallpapers and find wallpaper for tablet. Done. You can also control if you want the wallpaper to dim for a certain length of time when scrolling too.
Hope you like it!
Also, I'm using the Go Launcher HD on PA 2.99 and it works perfect for me.

Anyone found the correct wallpaper size so when using it with Nova launcher doesn't get zoomed if you choose scrolling?

I am not sure of the correct size, but I use Multipicture Live Wallpaper if you like the idea of having more than one wallpaper. I look for wallpaper at our resolution (I am guessing 16:10)
I use 500 fire paper. Works great

It's "zooming" because the image must work in both landscape and portrait mode. It will always do that no matter how big the image is. Make sure the image chooser you use shows both the portrait and landscape boxes simultaneously if you want an accurate idea of what it will look like once chosen.

I use 'Simple Image Wallpaper'. You can choose the ENTIRE image for landscape & choose how you want the cropped one to appear for portait (or vice versa). It is NOT a live wallpaper, that is just how it gets around the limitations listed by the Playah above.
Once installed, you pick 'live wallpaper' from the system wallpaper options, THEN 'Simple Image Wallpaper'. Pick your image(s) in settings.
Hope that helps!

I am using Nova Launcher on Note 2 and the screen resolution is 720x1280
multiplied width by 2 so 1440x1280 should be perfect fit.
Try multiplying the height or the width by 2 and see if it fits perfectly
hope I helped
