[Q] Best MIUI-Rom for HTC EVO 3D GSM? - HTC EVO 3D

Hey,
wich rom is the best one for the HTC EVO 3D GSM or can I install a CDMA/Sprint-Version? It have to ran stable and smooth. Can anyone help me? A Tutorial how to install it may not be bad, but I can search it by myself.
Is there already a stable Jellybean ROM?
Thanks
Sorry for my Bad English, but I'm from Germany

All I'm going to say is, if you flash a CDMA ROM and you have a gsm phone, well . You will have a expensive paper weight?????

If you would've done some research, you knew that there is only one (discontinued) MIUI rom for GSM on XDA, which is Cero's rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906298
The original MIUI rom is housed on the MIUI website, which is over here:
http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/3-1-11.19266/ (direct dl. link: http://files.miuiandroid.com/3.1.11/miuiandroid_shooteru_ics-3.1.11.zip)
There are some older MIUI roms, like these:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679727
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369526
Also, please don't ask for 'the best one', because that is completely based on your own experience.
Do you want working BlueTooth, 3D, Camera in common, camcorder, etc.
Some roms are really small and don't offer all the extras, while other roms are loaded with extras. It's completely up to you.
Oh, there was one other working MIUI rom, but that was lens_flare's (kanged?) rom. He was banned because it was a second account of an already banned user, which was banned for violating the rules.

Locked...flash and make ur own decisions.

New To EVO3D, whats the BEST rom.

Hey how is everyone. My nexus s 4g broke and i bought a evo 3d off of Ebay and i was wondering what was the best rom for this phone. Now im used to the stock ICS feel i was wondering if there were roms that similar to the ones on the NS4G, im not a noob but looking at the language in this forum its different from what used to in the NS4G forum. What are some of the best kernels? (im used to using Mathkids Matr1x) and what about roms?? Thanks if anyone can help. God Bless.
Ughhh, I swear if I see another "best rom" thread I'm gonna slap a baby.
There is no "best rom" that we can give you. Every rom has very different features for different users. Some are made for performance, some for battery life. Nobody can tell you what the best rom for you is. One of the benefits of rooting is you can easily switch roms whenever you want. So try one out for a few days, if you don't like it, try another.

Well cm9/aokp has definitely been refined, you should try either of those. Or if you'll wait, dh should be releasing a new miui anytime now...

In my humble opinion:
Sense based: ZR3dX (see my signature). Everything works since it is based on what HTC released. Smooth, great battery.
Sense removed: d3rp ICS. Based on sense, but with the sense removed so everything works, but a few minor things (like no shortcuts from lockscreen since no Sense)
AOSP: CM9 Devil Toast. Everything works but 3d, but it is not as smooth as the dev would like yet.
Of course, to each their own. Even my opinion could change tomorrow. That's the beauty of it. Flash one today, try a new one tomorrow. Here is the Evo 3d CDMA development forum for you to choose from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1098
I'd totally agree with coal686 on the AOSP rom. Tried a few "AOSP"s and I'd say its a close call between CM9 and NonSense 3.1. Found a bug using 3rd party camera apps with NonSense, and although there's no 3D with CM9 its a way tighter rom! Definitely recommended.
(these are GSM recommendations, btw)
For cmda I recommend miui v4 or meanrom ics.
Well i am using anryl's own rom and his 30.07 kernel and have my evo 3D overclocked to 1.5GHZ =D i recommend using them if u have any problems feel free to PM me
Hit the thanks button if i helped

Any AOSP Roms??

What's up y'all? I recently lost my Nexus S 4G and am now using my brothers old EVO 3D. I am sorely missing stock Android. I was running an AOSP JellyBean ROM on my NS4G, which was oh so nice....but is there anything for the EVO 3D....either ICS or JellyBean? I've looked around, but haven't seen anything. So can anyone point me in the right direction?
You didn't look very hard.
This belongs in q&a.

I guess I should have been more specific....something with little to no issues would be great. Each seem to have their own issues....in the AOKP rom camera isn't working, CM10 has several issues (sound being the main one), and in regards to CM9, I thought I read through a thread that intimated that 4G does not work. Is that something that source built roms will suffer from on the EVO 3D?
Lots of ICS roms with zero issues.
Look in the developement threads.
sudo passwd root
The Nexus is a Google phone with native AOSP. If you want everything to work on an Evo 3D (or most HTC phones) you will probably need to use a ROM that is Sense based.
You might want to look at SOS M which is built on a MeanROM ICS base that is very complete and stable, but largely de-Sensed and has a lot of options to give it the look and feel of AOSP, or even MIUI.
And as someone else already pointed out, in the future "what should I do?" or "how should I do it?" questions belong in the Q&A forum rather than General.
ramjet73
Thanks for pointing me towards the development section, that is helpful. You mind throwing a couple examples at me though? Everything I look at seems to be sense based.
SOS M (cdma) is probably the top sense based rom for the hero. and i'm pretty sure they were first at doing so. it's 100% stable ( you have to use the sense lockscreen tho if you want to see who is calling when your phone is locked) i very much enjoy it
aosp roms usually only have 3g and 2d camera working but you can give sos m a shot, you'll love it trust me
Thanks guys...maybe I'll take SOS M for a spin and see if that does the job for me.
Try 3d Anorexia and PAE .9.5. Those come pretty close to being bugless. Especially 3d Anorexia. Its got working 4g. No 3d of course.

The camera worked fine for me in AOKP.
Regardless, try 3D Anorexia if you want an AOSP rom with no stability issues.

Whoever is responsible for that ROM should really consider giving it another name. If you've ever known anyone with anorexia, there's nothing funny about it.
Sorry, but I'm not going to install a ROM that shows disrespect for a very serious illness.

I'm sure they weren't, but probably at least thought it was a cute name for a lean ROM, which it's not. Many times people (including me) do things that unintentionally offend others and I'm not faulting them for that, just suggesting they change the name to something more appropriate.

That one is my new favorite, camera doesn't work yet along with 4G and 3D. Don't really care about the later two but I do miss my camera. Its an awesome enough ROM IMO to deal without the camera for now. Jelly Bean on our Evo 3Ds is almost like a new phone!
Try King Cobra v1.6. First install Sense and set everything up, then install again using Aroma Installer and select Senseless, and AOSP Components, then select AOSP notification and settings (and DON'T WIPE) and you're good to go with a Bugless (afaik) AOSP ROM.

I'm runing the SOS M ROM right now, but have been keeping a very close eye on that CM10 ROM. The 3D I don't care about, but I need the 4G & camera....work is being done on the 4G, so hoping that is figured out soon and they follow up with quick work on the camera too. I was gonna flash it to check it out earlier today, but I'd have to downgrade my hboot apparently, and since I've not done that before, I figured it wasn't worth the trouble when I knew I couldn't stick with CM10 as it is anyway.

[Q] HTC RUBY minimalist ICS/JB roms

Hey, this is my first post so sorry if its in the wrong place.
I have had my Amaze 4G for about a year and had wanted to experiment with different roms. Unfortunately there are not a lot which I can get to work with radio and tethering. I am with Wind (dont laugh) but only the T-mobile roms seem to work without incident. I had a good experience with EnergyROM but after trying the CyanogenMOD 10 4.1.2 nightlies I have been looking for a rom which has only the very basic apps preinstalled and no gapps. I really like cm10 because I only get what I want but being unstable releases the battery life is really bad. I wanted to post this to see what people are using which fit this criteria or if there is a way to edit the custom rom zips to remove these apps.
Thanks XD
Try venom rom. You can customize pretty much anything. I don't know the current state of tether on this ROM though because I don't really use it.

I saw the dev page for it and it seems like exactly what i've been looking for but the last time i tried installing i ran into issues. Something to do with s-on/off I think. I have no idea how to make set it to off =/
edit: until i get android rev working would it be safe to just open up the energyrom zip and delete all the apks i dont want? I figured for non essentials like facebook and gmail it wouldnt affect much

[Q] Best gsm rom 2014 / beginner needs help !?

Hello guys i am very new to this whole root thing and i wanted to root the evo 3d because stock rom is not fast enough for me
i am a beginner at installing roms and my english is not very good so please dont be too harsh
basically my question is what rom is the best for the gsm evo 3d overall
i do not care about the 3d camera i never use it, for me the most important aspects are
1) performance
2) battery life
3) stable build
and yes i now some people asked the same question but those questions are from 2011-2012 and i think there are better roms now
I personally cannot decide between cm 11 and liquidsmooth v3.0 both are by @johnnyslt (so i hope u too get to read this question )
i heard sense is more ram-hungry and i dont care about sense either i like the clean nexus 5-like design
many roms get updates from time to time but i do not want to do that unless u can update a rom easily
do you always have to do a reboot and all those processes just to update a rom ???
anyway i hope spme of you experienced people can help me deciding

if you do care, install YAS v11 (sense 4.1, working 3D camera!!! + my favourite, Beats Audio EQ)

sense 3.6 I use stock rom, i haven't install cool ics, sorry i can't help you.But for cm11, i think it is really awesome rom, it is smooth and steady(i think),only it can't support 3d,that is why these days i change cm to yas4,haha,it is really difficult to choose which is best. if you have time, try by yourself, and i think you will get real fit your style rom.
Rom
For me it's Kitkat LiquidSmooth.
No 3D Camera but everything else, fast, stable and battery life is very good.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2638534
Give it a try
I agree with DonKalli. I am running Liquid Smooth 3.0 since 2 weeks and I was surprised how good it runs
I've been running cool ICS for over 2 months. It's a very fast and stable rom, that is good for daily use. The camera and sound mods are also very good.
But I think Liquid Smooth is better for you because of the newer Android version. It also uses a clear Nexus 5 like UI.

While the phone's still a powerhouse, it's old, and drivers weren't released to keep the camera working--without a working camera devving stopped. At least I think it was the camera..., anyway, something important was missing, and no one wanted half a functioning phone with kitkat.
Most ICS roms are functioning perfectly and can be flashed. If you have USA version easy, and if you have Asian version, there are special instructions--google the thread. CM is one that was working fine--there are others. Like Viper. And ARHD. Look in their threads to see what works and not.
