Razr Maxx battery consumption - Motorola Droid RAZR

I'm wondering what is the normal battery consumption of razr maxx
mine(ICS) was about 2% per hour, is it normal?
but i found that my friend's razr(not maxx) that using 2.3.5(TW retail) is just about 1% per hour, which make me feel my razr maxx is not that Long lasting

I've been thinking this since I got it, I'm around 2-3% an hour. I used battery monitor widget to do some current draw tests & I was drawing around 80mA idle which I think is too much.
However just the other day I changed to Nova Prime launcher & changed my emails to push & have noticed & measured a good improvement. Idle current draw is now pretty consistently 53mA.
If you wanna look into this further then I'm up for that.

Excellent Droid Razr MINN battery life

I'm a little sick of seeing "terrible battery life!" posts on these forums. So let this be my official way of saying "YER DOIN' IT WRONG!":
Original Droid Razr:
It says "3d 0h 45m 30s on battery":
img651.imageshack.us/img651/3199/img07481n.jpg (Sorry, I can't post links)
I turned 4G off and left WiFi on and pretty much did not leave the house for 3 days straight, which likely reduced power usage by the radio. I've had the phone since November, fully stock.
FYI, the battery widget is called Battery Indicator Pro.

Ok so I can't use 4G or leave my house? Why even buy the phone then? Sorry but YOU are doing it wrong.

i find battery life on my GSM unit to be wonderful... so long as i have excellent reception from a tower. as soon as i'm in a fringe area, BYE BYE BATTERY!
Yeah it's kind of pointless to get on here talking about how good battery life CAN be. Yes it can be extremely incredible if you turn off 4G, turn off wifi, turn off background data, don't use your phone, don't leave your house. I mean come on man seriously??? What people are complaining about is everyday regular use. I had 4G on all day, wifi only turned on when I'm home, talked on the phone for about 1 hour all together, sent and received about 50 texts, checked email, checked facebook, hop on Google+, check twitter and a little bit of Temple Run and Draw Something. Got just a little over 8 hours on battery. The OP's stats are NOT realistic so do not buy this phone thinking that you will get the same battery life.
Yeah it's really about screen on time and usage. I don't count it as great battery life if the phone is in airplane mode or barely being used.
My Razr Maxx gives me enough last me from the time I wake up in the morning to the time I go to sleep with no problem, so that's good enough for me.
I definitely don't think it will give us how they advertise on the commercial but it's definitely better than any other android phone I've had.
I think it's more how the android os is consuming the battery over how large the battery is. My friend as the iPhone 4 and gets a day and a half with medium to heavy usage. I don't think the battery is that big in iPhone, never had one.

I got about 20 to 36 hours of battery life for typical daily usage. But, lately it getting worse. The "culprit" is, .... Angry Birds SPACE.
2G + WiFi is the way to go for better battery life.
Thank you.

[Q] How does your battery life fair on a normal Razr?

If you've got a normal Razr poll your on-screen times! I got this phone for probably a week now an screen time seem to just touch the 2.5~3 hour margin, what about yours?
I get the same, I was a bit concerned before I got the phone because of the non removable battery, but i'm really happy with battery. It lasts longer than my nexus s

got my razr in febuary and wasn't happy with the battery, my og droid and my wifes bionic were way better but i'm happy to say that with jd plus i regularly get 18 to 20 hrs,i always charge at 20 to 25 % i also don't kill apps with a task killer anymore after reading about task killers in the forums i love my razr!
Im in the Uk & i clearly chose the wrong phone. My battery drain is immense as i am a heavy user.
2:15hrs my phone from 100% charge was at 5%. I put it on charge n it took 5hrs to get back to 100% with heavy usage
i usually get 3hr-3hr 50mins screen on time, but i have gotten up to 4hrs 50mins on my razr, but i am using it on simple mobile so edge only and i'm not a heavy data user.
I do not use any battery saving apps, only freeze social crap and stuff like that that loves running in the background eating up your battery (provided that you do not use that social crap, of course).

I haven't personally tried JD yet so pardon my ignorance but isn't it just a automated profile setter based on time that turns your connectivity off? :0

That's still some crazy results, I've even tried using screen filter throughout the day with brightness set to half of what already seems to be the lowest
For some light web browsing with flash switched to on demand on but really just 2-3 hours at Max :s
jd plus is totally customizable, for instance i have it set to enable wifi at certain locations like home, ect.when the screen is on ,my battery power has more than doubled since i started using it,today my phonehas been unplugged for6 hours with on screen time of 1 hour 14 minutes and i still have 63% of my battery left, i would post screen shots but i don't know how!
Battery
I got my RAZR in Feb. It got crappy battery life 2-3 hours of battery life. Im medium to heavy user. Since I've rooted my phone 3 weeks ago. I've removed and BloatFreezer most of the apps that. Run in the background I don't use very often. To say I very happy with my battery life I get 6 to 12 hours now. I can work on my car playing Pandora off my wifi and get about 7 hours of play. I've turned down my screen brightness all the way down. Its hard time see sometimes but I deal with. I'm very happy with this phone can't wait till I get the MAXX
I get two to three and a half, four hours os screen time...
That corresponds to a day and a half
Cheers
It really depends on how it's used, if it's a day that the screen is on most of the time & I'm on wifi I can over 6hr on screen time, but totally time on battery won't be much longer. Then only battery saving things I use is shutting BT, GPS, wifi & data if not being used (wifi & data always has either or on) & I use Lux to auto dim using subzero levels in low light(this is probably what helps the most).

Not sure what my time is, but I must charge daily or risk dead phone at night. Phone idle, Android OS, voice calls, display, cell standby and wifi are usually my highest battery users in that order from most to least, everything else is usually 6% or less. Wish I had bought the Maxx as I hate charging daily! Considering buying the Maxx battery conversion kit if rooting and bloatware removal doesn't help enough with battery life.
I didn't vote since I'm not sure on my actual time.

[Q] How long Razr Maxx battery lasts?

How long your maxx battery lasts?
It lasts all day for me.
Battery Monitor Widget reports my average 100% -> 0% Discharge time as 17hr56min.
It all depends on usage. Personally I do text quite a bit and average 10 or more calls a day and I can get a full day easily.
Are you all talk about razr maxx?
IMO 1 day for 3300 mah battery is low indicator.
Honestly, my razr maxx battery lasts 1 day too and i think its doesnt normally.
p.s. sorry for my english
the longest i got my maxx to last was 2 days 3hrs at 20% with light to medium usage. that's with 4g on the whole time
2 days on average with 4g off, With heavy usage
Sent from my DROID RAZR using XDA
typically ~2 days with 4g on, moderate usage. 3-4 days on wifi with moderate usage
My MAXX battery lasts all day with fairly heavy use, including web browsing, video and music streaming, phone calls, texts and e-mails.
This is the first phone I've had that would last all day without needing a top-off at some point during the day.
With really heavy usage. I mean around 500mb of Internet surfing and little YouTube a day and lots of Google Talk and minimal phone/talking usage on 4G. It lasts me around 15-17h. Pretty impressive. I used to charge my Droid Charge in the middle of the day. Now I dont even worry about it.

Are you guys stock or running a ROM?

Guys how about heavy usage on games? how long can it last?
It lasts at least twice as much as an Optimus I have and my wife's RAZR. I'd say it endures office, commute, dinner, and chill time.

I put the hurt on my battery. I unplugged early in the am, 2 or 3am. Went on a 24 mile bike ride while gps'ing my tracks and streaming internet music the whole time. Got home at 30% and proceeded to kill the battery in a 10 hour period. Very impressive!
Easily can go my awake time but I try and power through so I can charge once per night but the thing lasts so long that i get off schedule with the charging.
With GB I was good for two days with normal usage. Now with ICS I have not seen that type of battery performance even with not looking at XDA as much since forcing the update(less screen on time).

Battery life on STOCK ICS

I received a replacement phone from Verizon about a week ago. It came with stock ics installed on it. it is giving me amazing battery life....over 1 day of use with 50% still there.
Tethered my PS vita to help slaughter the battery at the end.

Was on the charger for 20mins, MAXX FTW. Running stock 215.

So .215 has battery bugs worked out?
I've gone thru 2 RAZR's so far. The first one was burning 10% battery for every 5 minutes. of screen on time. The "new" one is 10% of battery per 10 minutes.

Are you completely stock? Your battery will run down very fast if you have a lot of background processes running. I am on a stock droid rzr .211(not maxx) with a lot of bloat frozen in the settings menu using default ics app control. It took me 14 hours to get to 50% yesterday with ~1hour+ of spent talk time.
Razr Maxx running stock rooted ICS .215 i get better battery life now compared to HC. When 4G is on its killing my battery in about 16 hours. If i just have 3g on all the time i get 30 hours easy with pretty much same usage. I have the maxx since the day it came out and im still amazed by the battery life.
I'm also happy that i have a heater for the winter. 4g on generates so much heat that one would think that there is a dedicated heating element in there to keep the phone working in sub-zero temperatures.

How's your Verizon Moto E 2015 battery life???

I'm averaging about 2hrs sot per charge. 2nd charge
Really? I've seen many reviews that praise the battery, one said it's hard to kill.

I had ~2 hours screen on time last night. This was used mostly for YouTube and some emulation. I plugged it in for the night at 65% or so? You must have an app that is keeping the phone awake when you're not using it.
ive noticed on my UK 2nd gen version that even with all of the battery draining features (data/gps/vibration etc) turned off and "Flight mode" enabled with no sim installed that it's standby time when its mainly sitting dormant seems rather poor compared to my galaxy s3..when comparing both battery stats (my s3 being my main phone connected to a network) my s3 is much more efficient with a leveled decreasing battery graph where as my moto E is like a steep decline...it will go a week between charges if i dont use it where as ive had upto 15 hours on screen time at min brightness with very few apps installed (only bought as a toy, spare) just watching videos..my s3 with stock battery would never get this result it confuses me..on average the moto E loses around 6% per day just standing by while my s3 which is connected and used to text periodically looses about the same..wierd.
I got roughly 5.5hrs of SOT with a poor signal. This is the Verizon variant on Tmobile. It says 7hrs because I started charging while it had 1.5hrs sot, and only charged up to 80%. So these stats were accomplished by using 60% (80-20) of the battery's capacity. Usage consists of opera mini, youtube, short calls, feebly, mixture of LTE/H+, xda app, email, and setting up apps/accounts.
If a root exploit can be found then battery could become much better with greenify and some pesky services disabled. Personally, I'm impressed because I couldn't achieve close to this on a rooted ZF2.

FWIW, kingroot app works. I know some peoples' feelings toward the app - but it did the job.
EDIT - NVM, it doesn't seem to be working on 5.1.
I like the phone's battery. One thing that I'm not sure is a problem with my phone is that I find it to charge really slow with the Motorola Charger, but with my ZTE tablet charger, it charges in about 1,5 hrs. Amperage, maybe? The Motorola charger has 550 mAh, while my tablet has 1500 mAh.

on the XT1528 verizon model the battery life seems to be poor when it was connected to their network. I have dropped the service with them and have been using that phone to play mp3's while we work out the bootlaoder. the battery is preforming much better while playing mp3 most constantly. they seem to be using some resource hogs in their bloatware in my opinion.
My first XT1528 had terrible battery life, but I accidentally bricked it within the first week. My replacement XT1528 has awesome battery life, however. My basis for comparison is my old LG659 (by the end of the day I would average around 25% remaining battery.) The first Moto E would hit 15% in a couple of hours. My current Moto E is typically around 75% by the end of the day now. I'll post a screenshot tonight so there will actually be some usage statistics (sitting at 98% right now.)

Very good standby time. My wife is a very light user and gets 5-7 days between charges.
Mine is not Verizone, no contract whatsoever. and the battery life is just great.
I own this little device for about 2 weeks, and so far my best record is 2d 10h 22 min with 15% left. That is with 4 partial charges while driving using GPS.
It may not be the fastest phone or the best camera around, but battery wise.... ufffff
