So there is no straight AOKP ROM? Cuz the one that says AOKP, turns out to be AOKP BlackBean. At least from what I can understand about it.
I would love to see just a straight, repod AOKP for LTE.

You just confused me more. When you say 'that one', which one exactly do you mean? Which one is straight AOKP?

Edit : evo401, I've read that using light flow from the market makes notification light work. Haven't tried it personally yet.

Some themeing does and doesn't work so I'll make a list tomorrow. Also tried Google Music as a work around for it. Just a try let me know if that doesn't work. Sorry for not responding quick, I just released 5 roms on a site today and updated one of my ICS roms. 2 more bugs to push out and I'm done with it!
A couple questions I have for this rom, does netflix work, is scrolling smoother than ics roms. Thanks.

Testing
I'm loading the ROM currently to help test things out. I'll report my findings. Thanks for all the hard work!
Did notice that the boot to Recovery option in the power menu doesn't boot the Nook into CWM. Would being on CWM v5.5.0.0.4 and not the most current version cause this?
Half owner of the rom and no credits
If you want me to host the rom on the official alienroms.com page i can and also make a newer pic for the nook instead of the kindle fire.

This is a mainly stock build of AOKP 4.2.2 built with the latest Linaro Toolchain. This uses Chads stock kernel and while I may add some minor things, it will most likely remain a "Vanilla ROM". This is a work in progress....
All standard AOKP 4.2.2 features should apply:
General UI
Custom boot animation
Custom carrier label
Notification background
Statusbar brightness slider
Recents RAM Bar & Kill All button
Power menu options
Lockscreen
Customizable text color
Volume wake & music controls
Allow any kind & unlimited number of widgets
Navigation Bar
Fully customizable NavBar (buttons, color, transparency, widgets, etc.)
Menu arrow keys while typing
Customizable NavBar Ring
Statusbar
Battery indicator styles
Clock styles
Signal styles
Statusbar transparency
Customizable Statusbar Toggles (based on Google’s tiles)
LED Control
Custom Vibrations
Sound Settings
Less frequent notification sounds
Headphone action
BT connect action
Flip action Quiet Hours (CM)
Disable safe headset volume warning
Things that I know are broke for now:
If you had Screenshot as a NavRing target, or you uninstall an app which is a NavRing target, SystemUI may force close.
Fix: go into ROMControl and reset your NavRing.
I'll update this post as issues/fixes arise.

FAQ:
Will be adding a Q&A as things arise
Q: My status bar is transparent at times
A: AOKP has implemented a "Transparency control overhaul" that is enabled by default at the moment that changes the transparency of the status bar. Some apps change it to black and some leave it transparent. If you would like to change it and get back your solid black status bar go to Settings>ROM Control>General UI. Then down to transparency. Uncheck 'Match lockscreen alpha' and move slider to 100%, then save
Q: The phone lags at times
A: Go into Settings>Developer Options, and change Window animation scale to .5x or less, change Transition animation scale to .5x or less. Check Disable HW overlays and Force GPU rendering.
Q: My notification light used to flash orange when I got a new notification, now its solid green, how do I make it flash again?
A: Go into Settings>ROM Control>LED. Touch the bottom of the phone image, centered and just below the home icon. Click Holo, then click the blue
Q: My custom MP3 ringtones will not play.
A: Make sure your permissions for each file are set as rw- r-- r--
Q: Why won't my custom ringtones repeat
A: Add the following two lines to the build.prop:
Code:
ro.telephony.call_ring.multiple=false
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=200
Reboot to recovery and wipe dalvik cache

I posted that comment from my computer while running WiFi tether 3.2 beta 2 on ad-hoc mode. I don't have internet so this is always the first thing I test
Edit: stock browser is not working right, it displays in tiles. I'm running a test build of my kernel right now so I can't say for sure it's ROM related. All browser from market work fine.

Its pretty limited on the connection type. Primarily suited for PC/laptop use. Most tablets will not be able to connect via ad-hoc as the ssid (network name) is not broadcasted in a way the tablet can handle. On the road the ability to tether my three kids tablets via Wi-Fi hotspot keeps my sanity

First off, I am not responsible for the creation of this rom, I have only built it for the jewel, please give thanks to the original creator bajee11, original thread here
Vanilla RootBox is built straight from RootBox sources and always carries a very light installation with no extra/useless apps. This means, you can enjoy a pure Android experience combined with AOKP/CM features and some CM cherry-picks. Keep in mind Jelly Bean is only at the beginning stage of development and there will be minor bugs. Every RootBox releases are stable and always up to the challenge for a daily usage. I personally have a high standard when it comes to releases and this is why this project always meets the expectations of users. If you're wondering how this ROM differs from any other AOKP roms out there, I only have one thing to say: Try it yourself and choose the one that meets your requirements.

This is an initial release, much much more to come. I will be implementing all LOTK tweaks and mods and framework tweaks, as well as some optimizations I have been learning/working to accomplish. I am also putting in a pull request to the Root-Box git to add all .mk and config files so you can build this too.

Awesome to see you working on this. Since last night I've been running root-box from another dev. But just noticed trying to use any music app completely locks up device. Requiring battery pull (simulation).
Have you tested this build?
Also, I just noticed I can't find a place to change DPI in any of the settings. Am I just missing it, have you seen it?
Usually it's in ROM control>general UI and scroll all the way to bottom.

Not sure on the hard keys, have you tried enabling custom actions in hardware key setting in rootbox settings, then setting them to no action? As for the number of home screens, I dont believe there is a setting for it. Try a third party launcher.

Im guessing the same as the other aosp and cm roms, wifi won't lock unless wifi and mobile network location is unchecked. Also sometimes you need to lock on stock tw rom first before flashing to get gps to lock in the first place

Most smooth aosp on s4 I've flashed so far. Seriously smooth.
This (pic) happens sometimes on launcher. The icons go away so not a big deal but they do get stuck at times.
Also, is there a way to increase icon size on launcher home screens? General settings, I see it now
Am I trippin' or are the icon sizes off? GoogleSettings and flashsettings are too big, right? I have different icon sizes on other drawer pages too, just no screenshot for ya.

The launcher has a setting to change the icon size, but for some reason the Google settings icon isn't playing nice. Maybe try a different launcher like Apex or Nova to see if the icons still stick

Yep! My old Cappy was on Mosaic (developed by The Collective which kinda spun off of Team Phoenix) when the hardware decided to kill itself. I always loved the heavy theming of their roms. Adam here started it all.

Yes! I started Firefly on the Captivate and then gave it to Johnson (i think that was his name).

I believe Johnson took Fusion. Did Kangi take Firefly? Nunhugger took Supernova? Long time ago lol. Kinda fuzzy.
