Official ics has sony bloatware(launcher,timescape etc).
But if you want pure ics then you can use cm9 by FXP(custom rom).

Yeah you need root for install either way. I have a thread in themes/apps on how to do it with root.

U will have to wait till they make a bugfree port for ULB after that devs will get it to work on LB..
