I would like to ask if it is possible to make app that would run on background and would change time on my device every few seconds. Lets say every 5 seconds change time by 3 hours (forward).
Hey,
Clock Sync is an gold APP but the Lowest sync time is 30 s

Hey guys,
I got my gs2 running RR for a while now, updated to the newest version everytime.
I wanted to know if it was possible to activate the vibrate on answer options when you call someone, and if it's possible how?
Second question : what is the power saver mode exactly and how does it work? Does it allow automatic sync every X minute?
Thank you!
Btw I can't post in the development forum yet that's why I'm asking here...

I am not sure about the vibrate question. But the power saver mod IMHO is awesome It can be set to the users preference. You have to enable it you can set many options like:
To answer your question if you use turn auto sync off with delay you can set it to a number of mins that you feel is right for you. Just play with it figure out what you like and do it I just put in what i used for the settings incase you were wondering.
here are the options
screen off data action:
do nothing
turn data off
switch to 2g mode
(I use turn data off)
Data action delay:
dont wait immediate
10 seconds
30 seconds
45 seconds
1 min
5 mins
10 mins
15 mins
30 mins
(I set mine to dont wait)
Sync action
do nothing
turn auto sync off
turn autosync off with delay
(i set mine to the delay so it will sync every so often)
sync time intervals are
15mins
30 mins
1 hour
2 hours
3 hours
4 hours
all the way to 12 hours
(I set mine to 1 hour)
under advanced there is
screen off wifi action with these options
leave untouched
turn off
turn on
(mine is on turn leave untouched I use my wifi lots)
sync data usage
only wifi
wifi prefered
data only
(i left this one blank)
sync mobile data preference
2g/1x only
3g
(if you use 2g the it should use less battery)
So I have set up Tasker to toggle my data every 5 minutes while the screen is off. Seems to be working great so far - I have it set so that it bleeps every time the task is run (for debugging purposes), and when I sent myself a Google Voice text it came through after the data was toggled back on. So far so good.
The profile I have set up for this just runs a toggle task every 5 minutes on a schedule. What exactly is happening here? I assume it is waking my phone every 5 minutes to do this... I've set this up to hopefully conserve some battery (my ghetto version of Juice Defender), but, since this is running on a schedule, will it end up eating up more battery than it conserves?

I always use alarm app which come in Android. But to set an alarm, we need to enter the date and time.
I'm looking for not that kind of application. I'm looking for a range time alert application. Let's say I'm cooking right now, I want to check it again in 5 minutes, I'll set alert for 5 minutes. If I'm doing laundry right now, let's say washing machine will finish after 15 minutes, I'll set the alert for 15 minutes. I'm browsing internet right now, my TV Show will start in 10 minutes, I'll set alert time in 10 minutes...
It's fast notification I'm looking for. Just set the how many 5 minutes/hours you want to be notify. Is there an app for that purpose? Thanks.
Try AlarmDroid its simple the best for me.

Good, but not as I expected to be. Still working same as default alarm/clock.
I want alarm for a fast situation such as " let me know after 5 minutes" etc. Then key in 5 minutes.
No need to recalculate time such as default method such as "now 7:47, let me know/Alarm after 45 minute...calculate...err...what time is it?...err...7:47-8:00=13 min, 45min-13min=32min... okay, key in Alarm at 8:32 at today date, let's see...12/012/2012..." Whalaa.... I hate this situation.
Just type Alarm Clock or Alarm in PlayStore and pick the best.

I did test a lot before posting into this thread. They all working in the same fashion way, the different only the interface.
At least if there is alarm that shows time range from current time by scrolling, that would be enough. Of course by key in is better.
If I set my clock 5 minutes slow on my phone, and then set the Date & Time to be automatic, should it correct the time? and if so, how long before it does so?

I believe it depends on whether your carrier provides clock sync or not.

If your network does support auto date and time just reboot the phone and the correct time should be displayed.
Hey guys, I need help on how to edit my android call timer seconds to count faster in 4 seconds interval (4,8,12...) instead of the normal 1 seconds interval whenever I pick up a call
I've never heard of such a thing. And it's likely buried deep in the framework to adjust, if it's possible.
Not sure why anyone would, and so I doubt anyone has tried.
:good:
