Try factory reset to restore the original state of this official Rom. then try with odin again.

If you read cf root thread properly you well see that if it fails you need to boot into recovery too trigger the installation

Use these tools by mskip found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488
it has all the tools and files needed to restore to factory setting complete with step by step instructions that are easy to follow.

Try different ports/cable .....it sounds as though the connection isn't being made and Odin isn't seeing your phone

One try another PC .

What will drive me crazy that i didnt do any wrong with it just update some apps i did my root 2 months ago with official rom & till 3 days all things work as it should ,then starts with freezing and restarting then my issue !
What should i do now ?!

Im sorry to say this but i think you have got the SDS/eMMC failure and the internal memory is dead. Many users reported freezing and stuttering before their s3 died completely... Take it to service center and they should repair it for warranty. Just want to tell you that its not your fault, its samsung's bug.

See if you can get into download mode this way:
Remove the battery. With the battery still out, hold Vol- and Vol+ buttons while plugging in the usb cable. The pc will provide the power.
If it goes into download mode, flash back to stock or another rom if you have a tar.

I was flashing back to stock using Odin and I bumped my phone and it came disconnected (maybe a short in the usb?) Next time I will be leaving the room while I'm doing it! lol. I finally got it to boot into download mode but when i run Odin one click it gets hung at cache.img and when i run regular odin it gets hung at setupconnection for a while before saying Can't open the serial(COM) port. Hope this will help someone help me! Thanks guys!
Sup, the OP is my buddy IRL and I have been helping him get this going. Thought I could add more info since I am more familiar with this stuff. [See what happens when you show off ICS to your buddies... .]
I don't know HOW the phone got where it is, but here is what is up now...
When you turn the phone on normally-
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
When you try to enter into a CWM bootloader, it does not go. [He says he rooted the phone a long time ago before he tried to get started on installing a custom ROM, but doesn't remember what pack. So I am not sure if it was ever really rooted or ever contained CWM.]
When you enter Download Mode-
Tried running 0din regular. 0din recognizes it, yet you try to flash a "root pack" it hangs on flashsys.cfg and says "CACHE" next to the COM port.
Running OneClick 0din by Creepy, it stalls on cache.img
The download Mode says "NO" on flash counter and has the right phone model. I think the warranty will still be good. But I'd like to try and save it.
I feel like the phone has no bootloaders on it at all. But I don't know how to push bootloaders [all 3] onto the phone. I don't know if it is even possible with 0din not even working.
I am lost...

If the phone is showing any signs of life then most likely the bootloaders are fine.
And whether it has stock recovery or cwm recovery - recovery is built into the kernel not the bootloaders - for cwm you will see a cwm recovery version number or for stock recovery you will see 3e for the recovery version number.
If you are getting into download mode and getting an aborted flash then you are close and the problem likely is with either the version of Odin, or the computer you have, or possibly you have a corrupted firmware package - one of these is more likely the issue - if you are able to get into download mode your bootloaders are probably fine.

Try redownloading the Odin one click package just incase the first was a corrupt download.
Also make sure Odin is showing com port is connected just before flash once the phone is in download mode and connected.

yes We got Com ports connected on both the one-click and the regular 0din.

he is bringing it to my computer to try and flash. his USB ports might be broken.
Try flashing just the siyah kernel only via Odin using the tar ball.
ok... just did that. i noticed since i got the phone in my posession that the problem is with the USB connection on the phone... its lose. tried alchohol to clean contacts and didnt help. i have to hold the cable a certain way to get it to flash...
anyways, i flashed Siyah and it flashes all the way, phone restarts... shows android guy with unpacking bag, looks like it will install, then tries to boot. on boot it shows galaxy s2 and yellow triangle.
download mode still boots, but now has a 1 count.
now what?

If you got the siyah kernel to flash you should have working cwm recovery, try to get into recovery and do a factory reset then see if it will boot up all the way.
Also, if you now know how to hold the usb cable you can carefully attempt to flash back to stock with the Odin one click from creepy's thread.

BAM! Fixed! Thanks guys... XDA is the place!! And thank you creepy. Basically after i installed that tar, i installed a root tar. booted right into a rom. Hopefully i can get this USB cable port figured out...
Oh and I have a t989 and I saw the i9100 screen and shat bricks because I am like pavlovs dog trained on not to EVER see i9100 on my phone. Then I remembered, different phone.
You can use a jig to remove the 1 count and I9100 boot screen. You can also install ICS, and then use codeworkx Triangle Away app.

Nah, just needs to flash a proper kernel with odin/heimdall. Phone<->PC screen is "forced download" mode.
I dont think he is too worried about that now.

[Q] Firmware update failed. Emergency recovery failed

Hello guys,
I own an unlocked, unbranded SGS3 I9300 on the O2 UK network. Samsung Kies happily advised me of a new update for my phone so I went ahead and started to update. This is my first smartphone where I haven't rooted it or flashed an unofficial ROM, every ROM I have used has been downloaded and updated through Samsung Kies.
This time it failed...
It gave me a generic SGS3-I9300 error code. I turned my phone off and back on again, and it displayed the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." error. Plugged my phone back in, ran Kies, started the emergency recovery... it was taking a long time. It reached 19%. I left it for about 45 minutes and it shot up to 47%. A while later, 53% and I went to bed, leaving it on. Woke up in the morning to find that the emergency recovery had failed at 59%. So this morning I have attempted to start the recovery process again... and it has been stuck at 0% (after confirming that I wish to recover) for over 30 minutes now.
As far as I understand it my next step is to install Kies on another computer and attempt emergency recovery from there. Is that correct? If that fails or is not the next course of action, what is?
2013 has not been a great year for technology for me so far and heck, I've flashed custom ROMs, rooted and HSPL'ed all of my previous phones and cannot recall having a problem but I decide to use the official program and the official updates and this happens? Luck of the draw.
Next course of action is to install a custom recovery, and then flash a custom rom.
Seriously.
If you prefer stock though, I think there are stock roms out there which can be flashed via CWM or Odin. Should be there in the dev forums.
Try a different computer. If it doesn't work, download a stock rom and flash with Odin.

You don't need to be rooted. Can you enter recovery mode (vol up + home + power, then release power after logo comes up), then do a wipe.
Try flashing with a different pc, also run odin as an administrator.

Tried recovery mode but it still gives me the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" message, same as if I tried to turn it on normally.
Odin is being run as administrator. Will use a different PC.
Thanks for the help
Thanks given all-round.
Installed Odin on my dad's laptop and the USB drivers. Flash failed the first time around but swapped USB ports and it sailed through second time.
Phone seemed dead but it appears as though the battery has been wiped down to 0%. Charging for about 10 minutes, the phone booted, installed, updated, optimised and did stuff and finally got into the Android OS as I remember it pre-flash.
Not holding my breath just yet but it appears as if my phone is back in business on a Stock ROM

[Q] Phone stuck in weird bootloop

Long story short, i wanted to install a new rom that required twrp to work correctly. i read that i could flash back and forth from twrp to cwm and vice verse just by using their respective file from each other. i downloaded the twrp zip and flashed it from cwm recovery, rebooted and phone booted. i then for some dumb reason used ClockWorkMod app and chose to reboot into recovery even though i have never had any lock using the app. ( always do my flashes manually) Now i am stuck in a loop. phone turns on, vibrates, shows samsung logo then reboots. doesn't matter how i try to turn on. ( odin download, recovery, or regular boot)
Any suggestions??

If it fails 3 consecutive times, I suggest moving to Kies for an emergency restore of the device.....g
Before you go any further, I would suggest as Bubba said, to check the power button. Sounds like it's stuck.
Edit: I also see that the latest twrp has been causing issues as well. Either way. Good luck!
I read about the latest twrp issues and im thinking that is whats causing the problems, but i have read that others have been able to fix by just flashing or odin downloading and starting over again.
I don't think the power button is stuck. When i push it, it feels normal, bounces back and everything. If it was stuck would it still mechanically operate normally? Plus i am able to get into odin download mode. Is my thinking wrong here.
I also tried the stock recovery and stock rom from Da_G and both just sat there forever and then failed but it restarted the phone so it must be communicating right?
I really miss my phone, should i be asking somewhere else?
Well...it's most likely not the power button unless that was fixed and you have a new problem. When the power button is stuck, the phone will continue to vibrate and attempt to boot.

i can't use kies cause i can't boot the phone right? or am i miss understanding how kies works.
You can use Kies in download mode and do a firmware upgrade. It sounds like you wiped your OS. You should be able to use the stock Odin tar to recover. I would grab a fresh download and try again. If all else fails, use Kies in download mode and do an emergency firmware flash(or whatever it's called)
kies won't connect to my phone in download mode either. i tried re installing drivers, i went through the kies connection error troubleshooting stuff. i hate to think it is something to do with my pc because i know i have connect to it before when i first got the phone and rooted it. maybe I'll try using the laptop tomorrow. any other ideas please keep them coming. I'll make a nice donation to the one who comes up with something that works.
It won't connect while in download mode like it does when booted normally. It will just continue trying to connect from what I remember. Make sure you grab the phone info behind the battery. I think it needs the model and S/N. Then do an emergency recovery. Been a while but I think it needs to be all caps as well when you enter the info.

Had something similar happen about a week ago or so. Only difference is mine completed the process after reconnecting to odin and re-did the CWM, was all good afterwards. I know it's probably been mentioned but just trying to help. If you can get into factory recovery or download mode, do it, connect to Odin, follow the steps exactly as when you first rooted your phone, no need to install the super user if it's something you already installed previously, do it up until it says passed and unplug from the computer, your device should re-boot, fingers crossed. You more than likely already know what to have checked in odin and what not to have checked. Delete/Un-Install the TWRP newest update and go with I think it is 2.3. something. It helped me, maybe you, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well.
Thanks Everyone!
Thanks for all your help and suggestions. I have been trying kies for the last couple days to no avail. (which i wouldn't have even got started if it wasn't for Froid's all caps hint, small donation sent your way for that). But in the end it was my PC, i hooked up to the laptop and bam, first try. Grrr damn windows drivers, i keep threatening to kick windows to the curb, but then again i have paid a dime for any version since 3.1. LOL
Thanks again!
Thank you for the donation. I'm glad you got it all worked out. We're all happy to help(for free) ...Thanks again man...much appreciated.

How can you tell him which pit file to use when you have no idea which phone he has? 16GB/32GB/64GB?
hmm i think this phone title "NOT BOOTING"

i just need confirmation is this guide ever done before
Requirtment :
Odin
Download PIT file
Download Stock ROM
Process starts here:
Pull out the battery and reinsert.
Press and Hold Volume Down + Home + Power Button until you see a warning!!
Press Volume Up button.
Your device will now enter the download mode.
Connect your phone to the PC.
Let it install some drivers.
Open Odin and click on PIT
Select that .PIT file you downloaded.
Check the box – Re-partition and Click Start.
After the successful attempt to re-partition the device, Flash with new firmware
Browse the downloaded firmware to the PDA section in Odin.
Don’t check the re-partition box this time.
Click Start and wait.
As soon as the process completes, your phone will boot. and it won’t stuck at welcome screen.

[Q] Galaxy S2 Stuck at logo all of a sudden (not rooted)

Hello a couple of days back I had my phone charging over night as usual, however at the morning the phone showed the Samsung Galaxy S2 white text as if the phone was about to boot up but it never did. I have tried removing the battery etc with no luck and I cant get into recovery mode, the only thing I can do is to get into Download Mode.
I have never rooted the phone and it have worked flawless for 2 years.
So I tried to use Odin to flash it with a stock firmware, my phone it not tied to any operator, I have tried 2 different firmwares so far with different versions of Odin and different USB leads with the same result, a ERROR at cache.img, Complete(Write) operation failed.
I have no idea what to do and I´m starting to get worried, what is there left to do :/?
Help will be greatly appreciated!

try to boot into recovery mode . plug out the battery and press the combination for recovery mode and then whilst pressing the 3 buttons , ask someone to insert the battery . i hope you'll boot into recovery mode . if not , remove the battery , leave it out overnight and then the next morning , insert the battery and press volume up and power button . it might boot up . otherwise , download latest odin ( if not latest , v 3.07 ) a new galaxy s2 firmware ( say xwlsd ) and flash it via odin . it might just help you . hope i helped and make sure to try out all the methods i mentioned . all the best and hope i helped .

I have tried to do that with no luck, download mode seems to be the only way.
yes. flash your ( preferred ) stock rom from odin . here are a few links to help you
guide how to flash stock ( in case you did not understand me ) : http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/samsung-galaxys2-i9100-unroot-official-jellybean-firmware-460777
stock roms for i9100 ( jelly bean 4.1.2 ) http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9100
As I wrote Odin is the only way and it is not working, tried multiple different firmwares, PCs and usb leads and I can never get passed the cache.img part where it after some time always comes up with FAILED.
