Ive been trying to get this working but with no joy. It works fine on my Nexus 7 - but it looks like the S3 kernal does not have the same drivers. Hopefully one of the very talented and kind kernel dev teams will pop along and include the same driver set as the N7 into their S3 builds.... pretty pretty please! Its something I would happily pay for....

Does cyanogenmod 9 Rom have mhl support? I am using this Rom but can't connect to my tv using the adaptor. Is there maybe a kernel I need? Please help if you can.

No. If you read the threads about CM9, you would have seen that mhl does not work and the issue has been asked about already.

I saw the answer about 45 seconds after I posted the question. I did look before posting, but must have skimmed over it.
I clicked the delete/edit button, but I am at work and had to go into a meeting. I apologize
Did anyone else buy it? Did it work for you? I bought it but also rooted my note 2 the night before so now i am not sure if the dongle not working, not ready for the note 2 or doesn't work with rooted phone.
Did you follow the instructions to pair it? Reading through those it seemed somewhat convoluted. I think you had to hold the reset button down for a minute or something...
Dont have it myself, sorry, hope this helps.

It doesn't have HDMI port and microUSB port on xperia phones doesn't support MHL. So answer is NO, u can't just buy micro HDMI cable and connect it into microUSB port, u may damage ur port. Cheers.

Page 56 of the manual mentions MHL. Does it currently work on the T-Mobile P769? Thanks.

Opps just noticed I posted this on the wrong forum section. Sorry mods :x
Yup this needs to be moved.
But, holly wow! I did not notice MHL in the manual. Thank You sir. I may need to get an adapter from amazon.com just to try this.
Did anyone even know about it to try it? This is my first time finding out about it.

I've reported the post. Is that what needs to be done to move the thread or is there something else I could do?
I've seen threads where people said HDMI didn't work so I was wondering if this has been confirmed by someone with a MHL adapter.

I'm ready to get the adapter too but I would wait for someone that already has it to confirm.

Anyone else had luck? I know some adapters won't work with certain phones/models.

Based on the 10G rooting steps it looks like our phones have leftover files to suggest the possibility of MHL support. Unfortunately it looks like we're missing files.. "en_hdcp.bin" and "key.bin" at the very least. If we get these files from a device with similar hardware like the Optimus 3D Pro then we might have a chance of getting MHL to work. This is speculation though and no one on the Optimus 3D forums want to share the files

It's just an MHL cable, and yes, the S5 works with MHL. I see no reason why it shouldn't work.

Try posting in the international S5 section. I don't think many people use things like this here...maybe there's someone in the other S5 section.
I've looked and can't seem to find anything.. I used the mhl cable and I can see it on appradio but no touch support yet..
It does once I rooted and flashed this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2955996
