Based on the 10G rooting steps it looks like our phones have leftover files to suggest the possibility of MHL support. Unfortunately it looks like we're missing files.. "en_hdcp.bin" and "key.bin" at the very least. If we get these files from a device with similar hardware like the Optimus 3D Pro then we might have a chance of getting MHL to work. This is speculation though and no one on the Optimus 3D forums want to share the files

isn't? I can convert mini usb to micro usb, its too easy =)...so video output jack on HD2 its possible....but in other side software i don't think soo

I just talked to my HD2 and I asked it about TV-out... he said he will get together with a few of his buddies and see what he can do... he didnt seem very confident, in fact he seems to think that his hardware is just not capable of outputting an AV signal.
I explained to him that I know a guy who can actually convert MiniUSB to MicroUSB but he just laughed
Now my HD2 refuses to talk to me
PS... my HD2 reckons this thread is in the wrong section. In fact he reckons that this question was already asked many moons ago.
He told me to tell the OP to check the archive, or perform something called a 'search'.
I think he's going a bit cookoo for cocoa puffs but dont tell him I said that.

I wonder if we could have wireless TV out... I think the samsung galaxy uses DLNe for this. I think the new HTC Sense (on the HTC Ace) can broadcast wireless too. Does anyone know if it is software or hardware based?

my old n96 used the headphone jack as a video out. i should still have the lead around somewhere i doubt it will work in my hd2 though. if i find it i will give it a go.

Yeah, my sammy jet was the same.
DONT BOTHER FINDING THE CABLE, AND DONT BOTHER TESTING IF YOU DO FIND THE CABLE.
I have lots of things with a 3.5mm jack attatched but sadly that is not the only requirement for TV-out functionality

No. If you read the threads about CM9, you would have seen that mhl does not work and the issue has been asked about already.

It's just an MHL cable, and yes, the S5 works with MHL. I see no reason why it shouldn't work.

I looked into it too and it seems legit for the phone they advertise but as you said it didn't mention the LS990 anywhere., and how jcase or no one else over here knew about it and if they did and it was legit they would share it here. Hopefully his phone isn't ruined.

You're a braver person than I.
In that thread you linked, Sammyz has the partition layout. It's no where near what ours is as far as I could tell. There were many differences.
So even if you managed to get it unlocked, I would think your offsets and partition names/sizes would be wrong now.
I may be totally wrong, and I truly hope I am. But this is a risk I wouldn't recommend to anybody yet. And definitely not for me.
But to try to help you if you want to continue, AT YOUR OWN RISK, I guess you could try the recoveries in the LG G3 forums, under general. It's tethered and might be the safest, but it's also not for Sprint
Bare in mind though, Sprint Does Not have a recovery yet.

It's an unlock for a different model lg phone. At best trying it wont work - at worst you are now bricked. People can be a$$hats.....
I looked through the script and its pulling the partitions by name which is good. The thing i see that would worry me is erasing the the boot img to access fastboot, But it does backup the boot and then flashes it again. I think i might give this a go later when i grow a bigger pair...lol
My Shield just arrived today, does anyone know if there is anyway to get Sony's DualShock 4 controller working with the Shield wireless or wired? Thanks! :fingers-crossed:
EDIT: After reading I found the Sixaxis app on the play store, it states that it is compatible with the DS4, so problem solved hopefully!
