Is there a way to get the stock sense camera app on AOSP roms?

No. Sense is deeply wound into the framework. If it was even close to feasible it would have already been done. If that's what your looking for, your best bet is to "remove" sense from what ever ROM you want to run.
Or you could convince HTC to release the info that's needed.

Like that'll happen lol
I love aosp but the only thing that's preventing me from running it is the camera. I'm in love with the sense camera, therefore i'm tethered to sense...
Meh.
I dont use my camera often enough to run sense all the time.
I'll just leave a sense nandroid on my SD and restore to it when I know I'll be using my camera (at concerts lol)

It can be done I have a method in mind. Just can't compile that method yet.

I'd try the new 4.2 camera. it works similarly to the sense camera and can do everything it can do. 8mp, video, SS during video, panorama, etc etc.

Could you be a little bit more specific?
When did you start seeing the problem? What do you mean the evo3d didn't have this problem?
Are you using stock app or the Amaze Camera?
I thinks its all camera apps. My OG evo did not do this. Is there a line of code that we can edit to remove such "feature".
Front camera ain't working either for me, Idk what's wrong
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
I've noticed this problem since the ics leak. Everyone kept saying there is no problem but I've tried it on every ics rom I've used (cdma).
Anyway... If using an ics cdma rom, use the stock camera or the nodded stock camera meanrom included. Take a pic from the front camera, it looks normal as you take the pic, but when you view it in gallery, it is flipped left/right. Was hoping this was fixed in the official release.

Idk if any dev or other interested patron saw this, but apparently this is a MIUI based Rom but has the ability to use the sense camera mod on it

I don't either. I don't want my phone to look like a iPhone. I think the interface is too Apple for me. It's the one ROM I never even give a second thought about. Most I will give a shot to.

I prefer the fluidity and customization that miui provides...image sense is the icing on the cake for me...but to each his own I suppose
Edit: however it sounds like with jelly bean coming and how smoothly it should be miui may fade into the background for me...but until then I love miui lol

Really struggling to work out if its worth an update to the NEXUS4
32GB card in my Evo3D...
7GB photos.
16GB storage on the Nexus4...
Tough choice.
Would be easy if HTC said they would update this to Jellybean. I would wait a few months to see if a 32GB N4 came out.
Not overly blown away by the new features. Can see why its another flavor of Jellybean and not KLP.
Probably a good thing too as HTC and Samsung have only just started rolling 4.1 to their flagships

I downloaded the new camera from the link you provide and it takes pictures but the photoshpere feats don't work properly in the camera nor the gallery. The camera's stitching doesn't happen all the way and I just get a collage. Also, in the gallery while looking at my photoshpere pictures, an icon for photoshpere does up in front of the picture, but does not do anything. I'm guessing it allows for spherical navigation of the picture.
Will this be updated on the nexus 7?

So how do you guys live without the sense camera on aosp? I really like some of the features of aosp, but miss my awesome sense camera. Or does cm10.1 have a modified better camera than stock android? Thnaks

Cool ROM . I think team hydra had an aosp ROM available for a while with touchwiz as the launcher or maybe it was digital bath. Anyways it was a refreshing change. I actually really liked it , especially the app drawer.

Its a sense based rom with the touchwiz launcher. Great rom with great audio.
You can grab samsungs, lg's, and sony's launchers in the android section under apps and themes if you want to use them.

Boys. I am part of Team Hydra but I release projects of my own with TH works as a base and tweak my own builds. Those are what you are referring to.
As far as a full TW port.. Its definitely possible but I sure won't spend anytime to do it for reasons I wont get into here.
IMHO if you want the Sammy look.. then spend the cash and get one.
It ain't that great, either. I found the TouchWiz launcher via Google, and deleted it after about 10 minutes. Not for me.
