For the server field try: email.brocade.com
See if that helps. If not, do you have OWA enabled?

I agree with what Stealth said, email.brocade.com should do the trick... if your Exchange Admins have enabled Active Sync connections that is. If email.brocade doesn't work for you, you're best bet would be to ask someone else who has it working or contact your Help Desk / IT Dept and ask if mobile devices can be used. If so, what the address would be.
Email.brocade.com is your OWA site. Try it from a web browser and login. Worst case scenario, you could use this if your IT dept doesn't allow mobile devices over Active Sync.
The paranoid Sys Admin in me cringed when you posted your user name. It's usually a good idea to block those out when posting screen shots online. It's makes it just that a little easier for the baddies out there if they have valid userid's.

Here is the web mail using the same uname and password...:what:

It's pretty common to have the same url used for OWA used for active sync. Try using legacy.brocade.com as the email server and see what happens.
Are other users able to get email on their phones? And sorry, I have to ask, are you sure you didn't mistype your password? Are you sure that Brocade is your correct domain and not something like corp.brocade or newyork.brocade?
The webmail was just a work around to get you email on the phone if all else fails.

Hmm..
Legacy.brocade.com didn't helped either...
Password tried multiple times...
Yes, some people like managers use on their mobile...

Hmm... Have you tried checking the box to enforce the pin? There could be a policy in place from the servers that requires it.
Where did you get Brocade:443 from? While I can't believe that it's the right address, you did seem to get further. Or it never really hit the correct servers to begin with and checked your credentials. Which comes to think of it, sounds more plausible.
Could you try a different email client just for giggles. It could be that the one you are using is not sending your credentials over in the correct format. What about the email client that comes with Android? Or is that what you are using? Anyways, this is what I used to use,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...itroid&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
It has a free 30 day trial.
Unfortunately for you, there are a security policies that could be put in place on active syn connections. Your account could not have be enabled for it and you would have no way of knowing without asking. I am not saying give up, just that I am running out of ideas.

Hi ...
I use jabber on my XDA as well as on my PC (firewall issues :? )
Currently, all Jabber servers have a major problem with the Yahoo transporter, as Yahoo team is sending a broadcasting messages and Jabber team tried to modify their transporter to stop this kind of messages.
I usually use Tipic.com, but its Yahoo service is down now. I found that "amessage.info" is working fine (at least for today ).
In all cases, if you went to www.jabber.org, you should find a link "public servres" which is updated by a list of Jabber servers and their support.
How to get iMov setup???
How do you get imov set up? I'm running 4.0.21 WM2003 and when I start up iMov and try to run the setup wizzard nothing seems to happen. I select which services I want to use it with, and press ok, but that's it. Nothing seems to happen.
Please help
I 'm so sorry dear .... I 'm not familiar with WM2003 ... I couldn't upgrade to any version ... u better check with any 2003 user
Good luck
Tell me how it works on yours...
Tell me, if you don't mind, how it works on your version and I'll try it on mine.
Thanx
Hi again ...
Nothing much more creating an account on one of Jabber servers (tipic.com is good) ... then register on each service with the required data (UIN for icq and ID for yahoo and e-mail address for MSN) ... you don't have to use the wizard. On the bottom bar press 'menu -> setup' ... if everything is correct, you should see the icon of each registered service in yellow ... if not, either its gateway is down, or you entered wrong data.
one more thing, in the login screen, you must see or enter the jabber server you registered with.
hope that will help ... good luck
where to add service name?
How do you add the jabber service name? From the Menu menu I tried setup, but when I press setup from the service setup screen nothing happens. I even tried under the advanced and put a jabber server there, but nothing happens. I'm sure I'm just missing something small.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx again
Thanx for the help... I figured it out...
I finally figured it out. It defaults to auto-login, but since I hadn't logged in before I didn't get the login screen to enter my info. Once I unchecked that option I was able to login and use it...
Thanx for your help.

[Q] Leave E-Mails On Server?

The subject says it all. I want to check my e-mails on the Razr but keep a copy of the message on the server so I can retrieve it again at home.
I simply can't find this setting on the Droid RAZR. Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
I'm using imap with the default mail app and it leaves it on the server (i did not see a specific setting; so I'm not sure one can have it 'not' leave it on the server).
Check: My accounts/select specific email account/Other Settings
Might be an option for you.......
Thanks!
You were correct! There is a setting under <Accounts> then the particular e-mail. You can select never to delete e-mails from the server.
Thanks very much for your help!
Paul
weird; my phone doesn't have it. Are you using the cdma version ?

I'm not so sure it's a particular phone option/issue; but accessible for certain types of email accounts........
In my situation, this particular email account was one I had to manually set up with a "pop.***.net" incoming and "smtp.***.net" outgoing servers.
HTH's.
Amusing; I'll have to check again. As I mentioned mine are set up via imap and the option is just not there. In fact there are no options other than ports and tls (checking both regular and advanced settings for all three incomming; outgoing and general -which has nothing but your address). I actually checked for this setting when i first setup my email. Maybe it only exist if you use pop and not imap (my particular configuration uses a different setting for smtp and imap). I also have yahoo setup to use imap instead of yahoo client and it too lacks the option (i actually checked for this because on the old version of thunderbird it used to not leave the email on the server if you failed to set this option).

Stock email app question (or alternatives?)

I use the stock email app to check Yahoo emails via POP3. My question is: is there is any way to limit the range of days for the sync?
I hardly check my emails on my phone but I'm constantly sending emails out. My "problem" is that the stock app wants to download every email missing since the last time I synced, usually about a week's worth or so. And since it downloads from oldest to current, it can take a while.
Ideally, I'd love to be able to set the sync range to the last day or three days. I just haven't found that option with the stock app.
I've tried K-9 and another one or two that I'm forgetting (probably Enhanced), but I wasn't too crazy about them and stuck with stock. Didn't like Yahoo's email app, either.
Any suggestions?
The stock email app is indeed rather basic and kinda limited when it comes to certain stuff, so I'm not surprised at all if it can't do what you're asking.
I'm a little surprised you don't like K-9 though. Haven't used it personally (I hardly ever use any kind of email on my phone), but I have yet to see someone who was unhappy with it (or, well, at least until now... guess I just saw someone like that now, lol).
No suggestions then, since my suggestion would be K-9.

K9 is the best mail app for POP and IMAP. EnhancedEmail is the best for Exchange. I have tried and compared almost all of the email apps.
I'll give K9 another shot as I can't specifically remember what problem I had with it.
I still wish I could just give the app a date range. I simply don't need to access every email I've ever received. The stock app on Palm's OS had this feature and it was incredibly useful.
Edit: I solved the problems I originally had with K-9, namely figuring out how to create a shortcut that went directly to a specific inbox instead of having to click around to get to it.
Cheers!
Maildroid is my choice after trying K9. K9 didn't let me change ports if you have an IMAP/SMTP hybrid mail account.

I use Enhanced Email and have had no complaints. Great for all account types imo.

You might want to look at Touchdown also. I've been using the trial version and so far I've been impressed.
I ditched stock for K-9 also.
The only reason I didn't stick with K-9 was it wasn't playing well with the exchange server at work. I've not had any such problems with Touchdown. But for POP3 K-9 probably would've worked fine.
I'll give Touchdown a try tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion.
I use AquaMail for my Yahoo mail.

[Q] HTC DNA Google Apps Lookup / Directory Search BUSTED

So I came from using a droid x running quite a few different ROMs. On the gingerbread and older ROMs I'd have to use the "Google Apps Lookup" app to do a corporate directory search on my Google apps accounts. When I would use ICS or newer ROMs it was just built into the people app. Seems to me that HTC has done a great job of busting or removing this feature from the phone. Am I crazy or can anyone else clue me in on how to get this to do the directory search and not just local/sim/skype contacts? Honestly I've google'd the hell out of this and RTFM attempting to figure it out on my own. HELP! don't want a great phone to be flawed for corporate use.
Thanks in advance for anybody's feedback.

I read about this feature in a thread about saving contacts to Google by default.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Talked with HTC
So I've gone through and checked every single one of those boxes.
It still doesn't search for directory users.
I called Verizon and they told me to contact HTC on the issue because they would be no help.
I got a hold of a rep at HTC who said he doesn't see that functionality being built into the HTC version of the contacts/people app they customized in sense 4+
He opened a ticket for me to see if there could be a future update to allow for this feature.
Keep in mind that my corporate google apps for business account has probably well over 50,000 contacts in it and I wouldn't want to sync all of those to my local accounts.
It's supposed to operate like exchange server does. It looks at the local accounts for contacts then reach out to the directory for additional users.
bummed out that this very corporate essential components not working.
Click on the arrow next to the Google one, still not there?

yup
Yup
Workaround
As a temporary work around I side loaded the gingerbread apk from the play store:
https: //play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.enterprise.lookup
I installed it on my DroidX from the play store and took the apk from it and installed it on my DNA
It ran and I can do the look up of the corporate directory searches that way for now. Yet is still really bothers me.
