Is there any way to receive messages through the FB Messaging app and not the main FB app? My reason being is that the FB app doesn't have separate notification tones for a notification alert and a message alert, and with both messenger and facebook installed, a message goes through on both causing double notifications to go off

Turning off notifications on the original app will do the trick.
Thx for the rep. but as i said in the first post, notifications on the standard message app are off! but the bubble notification still appear.
Morover I can't disable the standard message app with titanium backup, just coz "go sms" use the standard app to function
Using the quick reply option on any of the popular sms apps (Go, Handcent, Pansi, even SMS Popup) results in the LED continuing to blink. The only way to get it to stop is either open the messaging app or pulldown the notification bar. I have disabled the notifications as well as LED for the stock messaging app. In the sms apps I have selected the "closing popup marks read" options as well. I've read around and I've seen that it seems to be a general problem with the way sense interacts with these apps.
Any ideas?
I have LED turned off for SMS... I use Handcent and a app called SMS Popup.
When I get SMS messages, most of the time, I just close them in the SMS Popup. If I hit Reply and reply, the LED never goes on.
Is there a benefit to having two sms apps that do the same thing?

K-9 mail app doesn't show me the new email notification on its icon on main screen like SMS or stock email app does. Is any way to fix it?
Hi. I was wondering if it's possible to show notifications from gmail and/or facebook for the 5 contacts I have on my edge screen? I don't mean a distinct, separate notification; I mean linked to the contact so that when I get a notification from them, it appears in the same way a txt message would. It does appear to work for the Samsung email app, but not for gmail or FB.
Edit: Just saw the title typo. D'oh!!
Dear folks,
got some whatsapp notification questions:
1. Is it possible to see counterbadges on whatsapp icon for muted chats? So no banner, no popup, just a counterbadge on the whatsapp icon when new messages being sent in muted chats.
Maybe with another launcher than the huawei?
2. Everytime a new whatsapp message is incoming via banner, every other unread notification of whatspp are shown too. I only want to see the new incoming whatsapp message notification in the banner. the older unread ones should only shown in the notification center. Possiblo?
Thanks,
