My calendar is back to front - please help! - XPERIA X8 Themes and Apps

Hi, is there any reason why my calendar app (i'm using GingerCruzt 8.5) reads from right to left? Is there a way to make it read left to right? Or, can I simply take the calendar apk from gingerzaraki, semc debrand engine, or gingerdx and install that instead of the stock gingercruzt calendar?
If so, is it just the calendar.apk I need to replace, or are there other things I need to do?
Thanks
Impster

Ancient history? For me it's far better than GingerZaraki and GingerDX. Many thanks for your helpful advice...

[Q] How to edit (port) SE Stock App?

Dear Porter Master,
can you tell me (us) how to edit original SE app. Perhaps I (we) can edit some app to our mini
Thx in advance
so sad. no one want to share
Chill, padwan! Someone may help. And a great idea this thread too!
it depends on your purpose
Hey guys I'm trying to change the calendar Icon. I opened with 7zip changed the icon deleted the META-INF folder resigned it and tried to reinstal but didn't work anyway help anyone?
"porter master", ha ha ha!
Stock APKs
I use Cyanogen Froyo CM6 v3.03 ROM and miss some of the original SE apps, like the original clock widget and the alarm app.
It was nice, that the next alarm-time was shown below the time.
I've got the stock camera and phonebook, dialer to work, the rest no, but I'd LOVE the stock calendar, alarm and theme.

I've got the stock 2.1 SE camera, and a much newer (Arc or Active) phonebook, and Walkman. Copy these to your SD card, then use root explorer to copy them to system/app (click rw top right of screen) then paste, then change the permissions to:
x x
x
x
Thanks to each guy who uploaded them to XDA originally. Then reboot immediately. The stock SE camera only takes photos, not video. Walkman works great. The phonebook and dialer can be tricky to install on some roms, if they don't appear you may have to delete any other phonebook installed then they appear, if you've trouble just ask. These work on all Gingerbread roms so far!
Wow, thanks a lot, bro!
Did you got notes, stopwatcher and timer? I really miss these ones...
Edit: I Just found them =D

I'm going to try this on MiniCM7. If this works, I'll kiss you. I'm thanking you anyway, because you're trying to help and that counts.
OK, I've tried to flash them, but I can only get into ClockWorkMod and it won't flash them. I think that's to do with CWM and not the zips though.

OK I've tried with others ROMS and xRecov and ClockWM and none of them will install those apps. Has it worked for anyone else? Which ROM, kernal, recovery?
Installed on my GinTonic 2.4.6, but FC right after I tried to open it. I will see if I can extract them from Paul-xxx's Sonystyle Rom.
is walkman the original se music app?

The thread where I found it said it was from the SE Walkman (Android of course) phone. It has worked on every rom I've put it in. It has to be placed in system/app via root explorer, and it's permissions changed to :
x x
x
x
Then reboot and enjoy! I like that app because it's easy, useful and stylish!
No luck either

I've tried the same, but CWM will not install it due to some script
Also tried to copy the apk:s itself and put it in system/app giving them permissons and then installing them. But no luck either, android force closes timer, stop watch and notes.
Have installed TrackID, Wisepilot & SE sync and it worked as a charm.
Running MiniCM7 Pro v18 by the way.
Succeeded to install & run timer, stop watch and notes in SonyStyle v12, but couldn't change the time which is pretty essential on a timer or stop watch...
I would like to have the original timer, stop watch and notes because I think they are great.
The only apps that I've correctly got working on a custom rom are:
- Camera (but not video)
- Walkman (yes official ^^)
- Backup and restore
- Xperia timer
- Phonebook and dialer
- 2.1 album viewer
I've been trying hard to get more to work. I tried copying framework.res and other stuff but they just cause reboots.

[Q] Can i port the original launcher of my x8 to a custom rom?

Hi everybody! i am going to update my phone to Froyo, but i want to keep the original launcher of my xperia x8, that with "hot corners", i really like it, so...anyone can tell me how to do this? Sorry about my english

most people try it to copy paste from the 2.1 to 2.2 or above, but without success...use Arc Launcher, is similar like the normal from 2.1

This ROM has ported X8 launcher. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1070294 Please press tnx button.
LOL Like devs haven't tried it yet
Install active launcher.
It is possible to port stock 2.1 launcher, and it's already done in some roms.
The launcher needs some files which are included in framework

Propably the files would bee in framework folder. Search something with semc launcher in file name. I'm also sure that framework-res patch is required.

[Q] how to get timescape widget on gingerdx v14..?

Anyone know how to get the arc timescape widget for ginger dx v14?? if yes, please help
Timescape is not fully ported, so widget is the only thing which doens't work for now...
Im not sure but I think that you can use it with Xperia Active Launcher
hmm ok thanks. I tried with active launcher but it didnt work. It showed that i could use the widget, but when i choose timescape widget from "widgets" then nothing happens. PRobably have to wait and see if doixannh will add it to his rom.
Timescape fully works in GC except the call log tab which has been removed.
attached timescape on DX ROM is dark background, font in infinite view is black, difficult to read, and display image on timescape is half only.....
Take a look at the GingerDX topic. I think DX has a link about it...
Edit:
As i said, DX mentions it in the addons section of his topic:
Addons (Optional).
Note: flash these after you flash GingerDX
- Timescape for GingerDX v010+
- Modules for stock kernel. Flash with CWM. This package contains: AnDyX's Dualtouch for Cypress, AnDyX's smartass governor, ext3/4, X8Gesture, X8MDDI, X8UV.
