Was yet again fiddling with my S3 last night and stumbled upon the battery I noticed that "mobile standby" is draining my battery even when I'm not using it.. it used to be screen that drains my battery before I rooted it.. This mobile standby is bugging me.. all my other processes have 2-10% battery usage, while mobile standby has 72%.. I need help..

i had battery drain over 40% during night, with phone awake for a few mins in total.
when i'm carrying my phone around in my pocket, even when i'm using it, the battery don't drain that quick.
anyone got any similar problems?

Seems to be the battery. Such huge drain doesn't happen in deep sleep mode.

maybe an app you installed is on background using resources while on Sleep... try a factory reset before you blame the battery
I have the same issue. Started using Juice Defender and it really helped my battery. As it is, Sola's battery life is poor, so on 3G its really sad.

He had a fully charged S4 and he left it overnight and it was down to 25% and I looked in the stock battery app and Google services sucked up 36% which I know can't be right. Any idea what's happening?

I would try Wakelock Detector. That will tell you what's waking the phone when it's sleeping.

In my experience you will never truly be happy with battery life until you root and flash a new ROM and Kernel. I can finally achieve 24 hours of battery life on the stock battery using the setup in my signature. It is worth looking into.

Did you try Snapdragon™ BatteryGuru ?It takes 6 days to learn how do u use ur phone, than it starts with battery saving, works perfectly for me,got 2 days out off my battery...using it hard... playing games, browsing etc etc

My phone's battery just increased 1% after i took it out of charging and used it for couple of minutes.
It was 93% when i took it out of charging and used it for like 3-5mins.. instead of dropping it increased to 94% LOL
See the screenshot taken of battery monitor widget..
The green indicator on the left mentions charging while yellow is for usage discharging.. you can see the battery increase LOL

Oh this keeps happening to mine too. I have seen as much as 3% increase while keeping my phone idle.

i have also seen battery percentage increase upto 3%...i am on kk4.4.2 stock.no root
I am on KK too.. never noticed it in JB though.. seems to be a bug.. hope samsung takes care of it in 4.4.4

Not a bug..been experiencing this on last 3 androids also....keeping in cold temp...increases battery sometimes...
I was using my phone today while it was charging, I noticed for a while that my battery was about 70%, after a couple of minutes, when the battery it told me fully charged
I think that this occurs commonly as I had experienced very quick charges sometimes.
Secondly, I also face battery drops, like it drops usually from 60% to 40%, I rarely saw it in 50%'s.
What is going wrong? D':
