The volume rockers work and so does the power button but the home button doesn't and i can't get out of recovery mode using the power button, only the home button. ADB commands doesn't work, what the hell do I do?
I have a stock ROM of GB... No CWM, no nothing! Its "android system recovery <3e>".

WTF, dude. You posted this same exact question in the Galaxy S(i9000), Galaxy SII(i9100), & Galaxy SIII(i9300) forums. Which fricking phone do you actually have? You should only be posting in that phone's forum.
EDIT: AND the Galaxy Note forum. (n7000)

Why do you care? All the phones are basically the same thing. If a fix is working on a note or whatever, it will work on the actual device...

Until someone suggests flashing a kernel or ROM.
Also, the rules of the forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81) clearly state to only post once, and in the appropriate forum for your device. You DID read the rules, right? Because by becoming a member of this forum, you agreed to abide by those rules.

Why do we care ? Because only complete idiots spam the board like that. This is one of the reasons why information can be so hard to find here; dumbarses post so much crap useful information gets buried.

I did. I reported you. So mods can clean up the crap you left in multiple fora.
Why should I create stickies with useful information when that's already been done before by more people than I could ever count here ? I'm not a paid employee of XDA, nor have you paid XDA any money. You should have no expectations of anything whatsoever from anyone here, yet you do. This isn't your carrier's tech support forum. Nobody here owes you two knobs of goat ****.
Your sense of entitlement is enormous. Hopefully you don't end up fixing your phone.

[Q] Did i go blind, where's the search button?

It could be just my pc trying to fool me but i cant find the search button anymore
logged in at xda and searched trough sgsII threads but nowhere to be found
so is this just me or is anybody else missing the search function to.
i think i saw an error message earlier saying that they were updating the search function. i dont have it either.
SOPA took it
I think they just removed it because nobody was using it.
People just prefer to start a new thread about things that have already been answered a million times.
What's the use they said?? Let's get rid of it.

Easy screen shots no app needed (Stock Rom)

I just discovered a way to take screen shots from any screen by holding down
the Power button and quickly tap the Home button.
Discovered by accident while trying to turn off my phone.
Enjoy.

seeing it is his first post EVER, I'm actually quite proud of this person...he actually did a "what's called a search" or probably "read" somewhere on google and instead of asking questions he actually tried to help people out...despite the fact that most android users know this...this might be help to someone just like him who is new to xda or android...heck if I asked my dad if he knew how to do it, he wouldn't know...we have to realize that out of all the people who own android devices only a small fraction of people actually take advantage of what android has to offer and how to use use their devices (and not only cell phones) the right way...I am constantly bombarded from friends and family to go fix their computer, TV. cable box. phones. Actually, he did not search at all from my understanding. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just saying. From his OP, he states that he accidently found out how to take screen shots with the stock, none rooted rom when trying to turn off his device. Right away he posted the method up and I can bet without any search if that was a known feature for the amaze.
I'm pretty sure if you search Google, it will let you know thats a known stock feature for the amaze. But I guess you can give him credit for trying to help.
And actually, here it is. First result when I searched google

But now I'm just just busting the ops balls.

Yuck! I've always considered myself to be a Google whiz, but apparently not. So what you're saying is if the OP would have typed this into Google, the thread wouldn't be needed? You seem to be typing out of both sides of your fingers. Not to mention, if the OP is new, I wonder what seperates him from other new noobs I see ripped for the same thing.
If my first post was "how to root amaze 4g" I'm sure it would be frowned upon for posting common knowledge that we could have searched and found the same info on.

No I'm not hating at all, I was actually commending the OP, just like I mentioned previously. I was merely pointing out the fact that with a little google search things can be found very easily...this is in no way against what the op did, trying to share what he thought was usefull information for many, and probably is for many who are new to android!!

EDIT... Just noticed your other thread asking the same thing. So I can understand the posts you got here, but since that was also one of the threads where I thought the answer was, your search for qualified assistance may require a bit more effort and politeness on your part, even if others are being rude.
Honestly, if you do a search and read a bit, like the forum rules say to do, before posting, you will find that this has been asked and well answered in another thread where name calling wasn't resorted to. Sorry I don't remember the answer, but I think it was just like flashing any other tab. Don't take that as a legit answer though because my memory fails often. I do know I have seen this asked and answered several other times though.
So for the best results do a search. Really, it works.

Why thank you good sir Benz
Then again, recovery mode has always been the straightforward thing to do, it's just timing, I did a little research on I/O edition to check for differences and it seems there is not much that's different, the recovery kickup is the same, Vol Down+ Power {When the device is off}, Then again, you shouldn't have USB plugged in when you do it as it conflicts with the key combo.
The thread I linked you describes the same method for kicking it into recovery, he is also an owner of an I/O series, I wish I had one to make it easier but sadly I can't see where your issue lies, but I am willing to stick by till you get this done right, Hope that helps.
Fitz
Thank u guys I really appreciate it..I tried the power + volume key with/without USB plugged in and all that pops up is the downloading mode and USB icon..like I said I've had many Samsung phones and never had a problem lol but I'll update u guys n thanks for the support

It would be a mistake to make an assumption that everything works the same on both devices. If I gave you an i9300 CWM recovery, you could brick your device.
I'm sorry you feel like people are jumping down your throat but they are not. It is for YOUR OWN PROTECTION. Be savvy and post in the right forums. We cannot guess if you have the wrong device and we can give you advice that can lead to your device being bricked forever. You would not be happy.
I would rather be told I am in the wrong forum than people not mention it in case they offend my delicate nature - then allow me to brick my device. You should be grateful we pointed it out to you.
Also, we are pointing it out for people here. FOR THEIR PROTECTION. What if someone came here and asked you for a link to the recovery you used? You post it still not knowing you're in the wrong forum. You could be partly responsible for how many bricks????
Now everyone knows and no one has a bricked phone. Knowledge prevails.

I'm not reading all that because I'm busy, but apparently you are here more for argument, rather the helping side of things. The thread is over, and it would be a mistake to make assumptions, because that in itself was an assumption, the recovery I used said specifically it would work with either model. But thanks for your help I guess.

I'm not here for an argument. I'm here to stop people breaking their devices. Something that seems lost on you. It's a shame you're "too busy" to read the important information I just posted and too ignorant to realise that you're lucky nothing worse happened to your device.
For anyone who does actually care, since the t999 T-mobile USA device that the OP has, has completely different hardware, the kernels are NOT interchangeable, so no recovery is interchangeable either.
This thread needs to be locked and lost in the ether.
Actually, incorrect, I'm not ignorant at all, the only mistake I made was clicking on the "wrong forum" when it said "s3 q&a" because they failed to mention it was the international model, in my app. I never had any intentions on posting a link to the cwm file I used. Really guy, get over yourself. You made your awesome point now move on.
