Custom ROM Sony Xperia Tipo
I think until now there is no Custom ROM available for Sony Xperia Tipo, coz I my self have tried hard to find it on various website but none that I have found.
So, we should just wait patiently for it's updates.
is there a custom recovery for it out yet ? perhaps we can use the jellybean rom from winsuk on the htc aria ?
it has similar specs
here is a link to the thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33551352#post33551352
I have released a custom rom for Xperia Tipo.
But currently there is no CWM for your devices,so its not possible to flash the rom.
Regards,
acervenky,
XPT
fxp team is working on it
http://code.google.com/p/freexperia/wiki/SupportedXperiaDevices
Can some mod move this to the Tipo Q&A.
Anyways, to update this: there now is a CWM beta available, and I believe FreeXperia team had that CM10 rom ready, or atleast almost.
Kind regards,
Drago

I have Xperia Neo (MT15) and am on currently on CM 10 (FreeXperia) and want to try the Smart Xperia Rom. Do I have to follow this steps since I am on unlocked bootloader and the devices is already rooted:
Neo ( MT15 ) users:
for Neo ( LT15 ) users, download Neo V MT11 .587 ftf below, flash it via flashtool ( system, userdata, and kernel )
after booting, flash Neo V 562 kernel via flashtool
Root via Doomlord's ICS Xperia 2011 Rooting toolkit
after rooting complete, flash Neo V ftf .587 kernel again
Can someone please give the steps which I have to follow in brief to change from CM 10 to Smart Xperia ROM?

Thanks for this ROM Dani! I like it! :good:
Couple of questions though (since I'm a noob to all of these custom ROM stuff):
1. I'm assuming you're going to fix the xLoud issue in a future release, but in the meantime, how would I apply the fix you mentioned in your post?
2. Is there a way to remove the on-screen Back, Home and Options buttons on the home screen? I'm on a Neo V with the Xperia T Home Launcher and it already has physical buttons for those, so it's kinda redundant to me.
Anyway great job on the ROM!

1) The disadvantages are that you will loose bravia engine and you will void your warranty. The only reason you should unlock your bootloader is for installing custom kernels.
You can relock your bootloader via flashtool. This way you will have your warrranty back but you will not get back bravia engine as far as i know because you will loose DRM keys.
2) The rom you are using if for all bootloaders. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to boot system
3) You can unlock your bootloader even if you are on a custom rom but i suggest you to take a backup and install the stock firmware.
4) My opinion is that if you don't want to install custom kernels, cm10 or cm9.1, just leave the device as it is now mate.
5) Don't mess with things that you don't know because you may regret. Unlock bootloader only if you want to install the custom kernel or cm9.1 or cm10.
6) Here you will find a tutorial on how to unlock your bootloader: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
Should work on xperia go also.
Didn't make a separate thread as I got the same doubts.
I am using Xperia sola , rooted with stock ICS.
I want to eventually use a stable JB ROM.
I am not worried about losing warranty.
I want to know about the DRM keys.
Is there a way to backup or save "DRM keys"?
And then restore them when I want to relock bootloader?

If U did try to install JB then U should have unlock Your bootloader. That means You have recovery which is build in kernel, so just copy any other JB ROM and install it. If You did not unlock BL then try flashtool and install ICS, cause JB won't run on stock kernel.
Can you help me with step by step instruction with links... Plz...
there are a lot more information that u should give us in the first place.
like: which rom u want to flash?
bootlodder unlocked?
